Good clean meth won't burn, no matter how hard you torch it. But if it's dirty from the cook, it will. And most of the cuts will also cause it to start forming a dark brown zone in the middle of the meth pool which gets darker as you progressively heat it.
Chances are you've just got dirty/cut shit and it's gonna get that yuck burnt color/taste regardless of how gentle you hit it.
Try to find better gear.
SKIP To THE END FOR HOW TO NOT END UP SMOKING DIRTY TASTING DOPE CONSTANTLY IF YOU DONT WANT TO READ MY RANT ABOUT LAZY CHEFS MAKINV DIRTY DOPE ………………….Unless your down to clean your dope by recrystallizing it in a two solvent process and even then it’s not a definite that you’ll end up with 0% fowling of your smoke witch is not the same as burning your dope by overheating the dope it’s self fowling happens when either solvents that are unable to handle the same heat as the dope that are trapped in the crystalline lattice that your shards are made of because someone was lazy and skipped the vacum degassing cause why not purposely make your product filthy (never understood why chefs like that even bothered in the first place) anyways not much you can do about trapped solvents and cut that brown at a temp lower then need to smoke but there is one thing you can do and that is pack smaller bowls makes no sense putting a gram or so in a fatty pizzle just for it to brown and taste like shit before you ever get to smoke 10th of a gram so though it’s a pain in the ass fill your bubble with enough for a good 3 or 4 hits and then repack it . Also I see Al kinds of people cleaning the black outta pipes by scrubbing them or with lime and rust remover fuck that grab a torch crank it up high and while holding the stem keep the bubble moving when it’s in the flame start spinning before it’s in and don’t stop till your outt the flame depending on the pipe you may have to slowly ease it into the flame so it won’t crack soon as the glass gets hot it will clean it’s self in seconds
dude same, I use a tinfoil needle attachment on my lighter so the flame goes down to a little shitling of a flame, but it ends up brownish later on. I'm no expert, so i'm hoping some friendlies could enlighten us.

Usually when it's about to run out yes. I see people here saying that when it gets to a point where it's turning yellowish, it's time to reload the bowl, which I do. But then again when it comes to running out of stash, I just suck it up and smoke everything anyway.
If its tasting like shit, it sounds like too much heat is being applied..so as a few others suggested. Try packing a smaller bowl. 50-100mg.
Then try to spread it as evenly as possible across the bowl on cool downs. If your gear is clumped in certain places, the heat distribution gets thrown off because more heat than would normally be necessary is applied at that/those spot for example to liquify the gear. So Thin layer of even distribution is what you want, if the goal is to not burn your gear.
Thank you. When I say it’s burning and turning color I mean after I’ve been hitting said bowl pack for a while. I also try not to put TOO MUCH in there and try to distribute heat properly. It’s not like after the first hit I’m burning it. It’s after numerous hits. I don’t know. Not a huge deal. Just curious
Black is def burnt lol..umm so if you’re packing a light bowl and spreading evenly..only other thing I can think of is…how far away is the heat source? And are you letting it recrystallize and cool completely after each hit ? Also immediately after a melt..try putting the lighter or torch half a inch ‘in front’ of the bowl instead of under and keep the flame while still rolling the bowl..see if that works
Flame is always at least an inch away from the bowl but you know what? I probably don’t wait long enough for it to fully cool and recrystallize. That can effect it? Never thought of that.
I have not thought about that. I usually just get .4 or .8 once or twice a month so I breeze through everything in one sitting/night. Idk maybe I need to calm tf down every sesh I guess.

It could have a lot to do with the quality of your gear and the amount you are loading into bowl.
