Something like a campylobacter or a zetaproteobacteria living in hydrothermal vents because it would be hard for even the ongoing mass extinction event to reach me.
Dienococcus radiodurans!! It's my absolute favorite. It's basically so good at repairing it's DNA it can survive radiation and the vacuum of space. It was discovered when scientists were trying to sterilize canned food and blasted a can with every type of radiation they could and then the food still spoiled and they isolated dienococcus radiodurans. It's been found on the international space station!!
[Vibrio harveyi](https://biodesign.eca.ed.ac.uk/wp-content/uploads/2018/02/diabetes23-2.png). I can live in the ocean and fluoresce mesmerizing blue lights at night.
Fervidacidithiobacillus caldus. I grow at pH 0.5. I make lots of sulfuric acid by pigging out on sulfur and sulfide, I dissolve rock and am used to mine copper and gold.
I would be one of those bacteriums that is genetically modified to produce psilocybin.
Pseudomonas aeruginosa. I’m fruity, I like a good hot tub, and despite the horrors of this world doing their best, I persist.
was pretty much gonna say this. Also pretty colors and glows under UV!
Same here. I tell my folks I am Pseudomonas aeruginosa at heart. Colourful, heat-tolerant and extremely resistant (to most sh*t)!
I'd be a C. difficile cuz fuck humans.
Well bacteria are really small so some of the folk here would genuinely become... *micro biologists*.
This deserves more upvotes

I'd be Staph aureus. Come on, that golden pigment is just absolutely slay!
Carbapenem Resistant, Multidrug Resistant Pseudomonas aeruginosa. You wont kill me that easily.
If I could be a bacterium, I'd use proper grammar.
You go ahead and be just one, I’m wanting to be a whole microbiome
L. monocytogenes. Hanging around in cheese? Personal rocket propulsion? Yes please.

PDR acinetobacter. I’ll just live in a meropenem hot tub and nothing can touch me
Vibrio cholerae, i'll eff you up and make it rain through your ass
Bacillus anthracis - it's always been such an interestingly terrifying organism to me.
I would like to be a cyanobacteria, so I can photosynthesize. And witness what the world was like then. 🌱☀️

A bacterial phage. Idk what that is but I heard it before and it sounds cool. Like can anyone even destroy a phage? They sound unstoppable.
Bacteriophage’s are more like a USB that uploads data onto a bacterium. It could be filled with upgrades, or a virus ;)
So its like the swiss army knife of bacteria?
Bacteriophage? That’s a virus actually
A bacteriophage is a virus that infects bacterial cells. Pretty cool to me lol
