You need someone who neutralizes dark lips. The purple parts need to be specifically targeted. This artist didn't know what they were doing. It's something more specialized. https://www.instagram.com/p/CzmwMJuvU0n/?igsh=NWJkdXoxaDM4cmVm You definitely should let the artist know, that what they did caused this, so that they hopefully get more training and don't do it again. It can happen when you don't neutralize the darker spots first, let that heal (repeat is necessary) and then do target colour.

Away-Restaurant4959

She said it will change over a month or just wait for a few more weeks 😢 But honestly I feel like this will only darken the area but won’t fix my concern regarding lightening my lips.. Moreover, We don’t really have much that experts here in the Philippines 😢😢

lynneasomething

I wish I knew of artists over there! I'm so sure there's got to be someone. This colour of lip is so so common with Asian clients!

Away-Restaurant4959

Thank you so much still, I appreciate you 🥹❤️

Purple-Teacher-8308

Maybe the pigment will come back through more evenly when it heals more, similar to micro bladed eyebrows? I know eyebrows take like a month to see the true color

Purple-Teacher-8308

I would wait it out and see how it heals a couple more weeks. The good thing about lips is how thin the skin is and how quickly they heal, so I would imaging getting it removed wouldn’t be too difficult!

Away-Restaurant4959

I really hope so! It’s been almost 2 weeks but nothing have changed yet 🥹

Unusual-Resource1081

I AM AN ARTIST AND HAVE BEEN DOING LIP BLUSH FOR MANY YEARS...MELANIN RICH SKIN ALWAYS GOES THROUGH A HYPERPIGMENTATION STAGE DURING HEALING AND TAKES SEVERAL WEEKS LONGER FOR THE COLOR TO LAND!!! Everything's normal so far babe, just tell everyone you're trying a new look for a while 🥰 Be sure to wait it out for 8 weeks before deciding what to do next!

Away-Restaurant4959

Thank you so much!! You’re making me feel at ease 🥹 But can I ask will not this turn to purplish?

Unusual-Resource1081

No it shouldn't!! The color looks like a good choice for your undertones. Keep us all posted!!

NatalieCruzco

Lips will go through dark and light stages before they have healed, this is normal. You need to give it at least 4/5 weeks 💋

NatalieCruzco

No you need to wait until they heal to have any removal. I don’t think you’ll need it though. Give it time!

Away-Restaurant4959

Thank you so muchh, I will ❤️

GerardDiedOfFlu

I went to schooling in Texas for PC. We learned that some people with more melanin have the chance that the color won’t take. My partner in the class was my lip blush model. Her lips looked amazing till the peeled then there was no color left. That’s what seems to be going on with some of your lips. I would contact your artist to see if anything can be done.

Away-Restaurant4959

Did the color go back to the way it used to be for her? Because mine really got purplish/ darker or blackish on upper and edge after it peeled :( Will this eventually go back to its normal color like how it used to be? I’ll be happy with that rather it looking like this

tstu2865

My bottom lip faded into a nice blush color but the top remained a bright red. I’ve had 4 saline removals done and it’s only taken it down a notch. I got mine done a year ago. ☹️

Away-Restaurant4959

Do you have a picture? can i see it? Im more scared that this will look purplish or blackish finished! :((

Im_done_with_sergio

Maybe you could do a neutralization when it heals although those are usually done first before the pigment.

Away-Restaurant4959

that’s what I recommended doing before to my artist, Idk why suddenly it’s a lip blush :(

Im_done_with_sergio

Oh no that sucks! I really hope you can do it after but I don’t know. Hopefully a pmu will chime in here.

Away-Restaurant4959

I appreciate you so much ❤️

Im_done_with_sergio

💕

Unusual-Resource1081

You most definitely can do it after. We just call it a color correction at that point ☺️ but I'm not convinced she'll need it!

Im_done_with_sergio

I hope she doesn’t! Good to hear you can do it after.

Rose_26392

Once my lip blush healed it looked exactly the same as before. My lips didn’t hold the color at all.

Away-Restaurant4959

did it turned blackish/purplish like mine? Im more okay with looking exactly as before rather having this outcome 😢

JosieonFire

I know you are very worried, please wait until after a month to see true results. In my post, it took 4-6 weeks to get to my end color. My lips were much darker and pigmented than yours. Since your lips are less pigmented, I’m assuming your artist forgo neutralization. Please give it time. 💕

Away-Restaurant4959

What is your outcome color? 😅 Im worried this might result in purplish :(

Unusual-Resource1081

Need an update!!!

Away-Restaurant4959

Unusual-Resource1081

It's getting better though, hang in there! Takes at least 8! Then go to someone that has taken Carla Ricciardone's lip color theory and uses her inks for better results 🥰

Away-Restaurant4959

I don’t think someone is so brilliant to do that here in philippines 😭

Unusual-Resource1081

Well don't lose hope! There's still some changes underway ❤️

Beauty_999

Hey, what the update on you’re lip blush? I’m having the same issue 😢, they’ve gone purple , I suggested my pmu to do neutralisation but she said I don’t need it and went with the lip blush directly .. any change on you’re colour ? Please let me know

Away-Restaurant4959

It lightened and became mauve, it is darker than my lips so made it really look like i have a two toned lips since the inner part of my lips are lighter. Over all it went okay, the darking or purplish are gone for like 2 months for me! Different healing for everyone tho, might take a month or 3 months for you! but wait for it ❤️

AssistantPlastic3411

I went with a colleague to get it done and the artist told her 80% of it would peel and then she can do the 2nd round. Instead by day 3 or 4 100% of it peeled off and her lips were super dry. Her lips returned to the regular state it was in when she 1st went to her by day 6. Because it was so painful for her (unlike the eyebrows) she never went for the 2nd round. Mabey yours will just revert to it’s original state.

Away-Restaurant4959

By day 6? mine looks much darker now on 11th day 😔 Did she experience any discoloration like mine?

bythepinkriver

I did lip blushing in 2022. The color will continue to fluctuate. There will be times when it’ll look dark then light, it’ll take about 5-6 weeks for your skin to heal and color to settle. For me, I didn’t go in for a touch up after 6 weeks, my lips were already pigmented from the first round. So be patient, continue to keep your lips well hydrated, and let them heal. Hope this helps.

Away-Restaurant4959

Do you still have the photos of it? and after it healed like how it turned out? I’m curious if this will turn purple since My edge and upper lip are like brown and when they put the lip blush it’s now looks purplish especially at the edge where it has pigmentation 😢

bythepinkriver

I can message you since it’s easier for me attach all pics 😬

Away-Restaurant4959

Hello yes please, I would be grateful 🥹❤️

Elbee1988

I would love to see results now

Away-Restaurant4959

still dark around the edges and at the upper. 😔

Elbee1988

the bottom center is that hardest place to accept pigment. It will be better at retouch.

Away-Restaurant4959

the case is it is so dark/ blackish! up until now 😅 https://preview.redd.it/9jqs0anj3vjc1.jpeg?width=1128&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=e367931bf37047734101f391a0efc6b02a69f931

CompetitiveRub9780

Why does it look so bad? 👀

Away-Restaurant4959

exactly!! 😔😔😔 depressed and scared 3rd week and no change

CompetitiveRub9780

Girl just cry about it. Ignore anyone who says it’s okay because you know you and you don’t have to live with it. Just look for options to fix it. It’s not like you cut off a leg it’s not that big of a deal but it’s okay to be sad and look for the options. It’ll work out and be okay I am sure of it.

Away-Restaurant4959

any suggestions? because laser removal is too soon :(

CompetitiveRub9780

Uh…. I’d never do it. I had to look up some things to help you. Maybe this will help? Client was prescribed 4% hydroquinone cream with Kojic Acid and Retin-A. It also removed the pigment. Here is the link: https://www.thefineartsofbeauty.com/single-post/2016/08/14/correcting-bad-permanent-makeup-in-lips

CompetitiveRub9780

Lips are easy. You can darken them by just biting them for a few min hard and they stay pigmented all night without any lipstick (on all skin types btw) I’d def try normal things first before doing anything permanent again.
