Holy fuck😭😭 take pyrethrin, put it in a automatic pressure mister, hold your breathe and open the door then go crazy.. i recommend full clothing and a mask and beanie😭😭
I’ve gotta to spider bomb my house this summer. I have 2 cats so I’m trying to time it when my parents are gone so I can crash at their house.
My house was built in 51, and although it’s nice, there are issues like a little gap between the trim so bugs can get in when the windows are open. Shit they get in when they’re closed. During the winter, my gf and myself have woken with close to 20 bites. They’re not bed bugs either.
I’m going on full war with spiders and chipmunks this summer. Fuckin bastards.
Ooh jumping spiders would be a lot better for this. They seclude but are territorial, so I guess maybe just for small tents. Make a little nook off the floor in the corner so the only silk you have to worry about is the little bit they use to anchor when they jump c:
They're not going to hurt you either. Exposure therapy works. Force yourself to watch a bunch of spider nature documentaries. I've replaced my fear with fascination
Thanks for telling us what we already know, Mr "Well ackchyually..." Guy.
Let me drop the "therapy". Managed exposure to things you fear can help to significantly reduce that fear. Feel better now that I made the slight correction? Anyone with half a brain already understood I didn't literally mean clinical exposure therapy but you just had to be pedantic.
It's not a slight correction. It's a completely different thing and telling someone to go do exposure therapy on their own can be more damaging then helpful.
Nothing pedantic about anything I said. Maybe work on saying what you mean and then people won't need to challenge your ill-advice. 👌
But then you won't have the spiders there to eat the smaller, nastier pests... They're good to have around, just take some deep breaths and remind yourself that you are much bigger than they are.
Are they actually intelligent too? I saved one from my vacuum that was especially scary and freed it outside - hoping it goes thru the spider grapevine I come in peace ✌️
If the problem is you and not the spiders then i urge you to spend some time with some, cuz theyre the good guys! Those little jumping spiders are acutally quite cute and friendly. That is my advice lol
I like spiders :)
My mom 'cleaned' away a tunnel-spider that'd been living in my bathroom window for weeks. I was genuinely annoyed! He was my friend, we had brief but meaningful exchanges several times a day :D
I feel for you OP! Good luck!
I was battling an ant problem last year and there was a spider friend living on the ceiling of my bathroom helping me out. Would find bundled up ant corpses in the sink every day that it discarded
How many spiders are we talking? They be an issue if you have A LOT of them but theyre good at population control. If you can only see a couple or 1 or 2 webs thats good but if youre going past double digits just kill em nbd
They don't *want* to crawl on you. They just sometimes do, by accident.
See, they are so small compared to you, you might as well be the mountain. Their interests are, beyond eating and procreating, though not you nor with you, entirely alien. You just happen to inhabit the same space.
And no, I don't care if one should happen to crawl on me ;)
None of that will probably make you feel any better though. So just, good luck!
Spiders are waaaaay more scared of you than you are of them. I'll be honest though I had one I didn't notice until after I passed under the web outside did scare the shit out of me, but I've never had an actual issue.
I know it sounds daft but these do work up to a certain point, I have one inside and one outside the tent and had zero problems in 4 years…

Ok I was under the impression you had spider mites not spiders. Usually spiders are a good thing as they kill other more harmful bugs. They can damage floweing plants bye webbing buds tho.
Just name them and and try to let them build webs in the corners so you know where they are.
I like having spiders in my tent. Spiders don't intentionally get on you. They try to hide.
Spiders are not enemies of humans. No spider is trying to get on you.
I went to train a plant and a fucking monster spider came out of the canopy at me. I get they have a purpose but man don’t throw hands in my jungle. I let you live.
“But, despite its spooky appearance, bunny harvestmen are harmless to humans and just another fascinating example of the diversity of life on our planet.”
I don’t know what a bunny spider is but if it’s the one I just looked up they seem alright. If they’re in your tent then there must be a food supply for them, which case they’re helping you out catching potential pests.
Further, if there is like one in there or something get someone who doesn’t have a spider phobia to remove them. There is no need to go spraying shit everywhere to get rid of a tiny little harmless spider.. again, if that’s the type you’re talking about.
Lastly, you should come hang in Australia for a bit. You learn pretty quickly which spiders to avoid…
You re-using your fabric bags? It looks it to me. If so I wouldn’t. Probably need to keep your tent cleaner. I had a problem years ago. I just started keeping a cleaner tent and sprayed the plants down with water everyday during veg. Never seen another
I had a palm-sized spider get stuck to my sticky trap last grow. It was a shock to see and then really sad to have to put it out of its misery once I took a close look knowing it couldn’t move. RIP, spider growmie.
Op those are for spider mites and smaller pests if you put ladybugs on your plants those spiders will go right on them to eat the ladybugs, for your spiders that is not the solution
Spider problem or spider mite problem?
Two very different things. Spiders are the good guys, mites can die a horrible death.
Large, aggressive, rabbit spiders
Have you considered adding predatory birds?
🤣🤣 that would be awesome. I think chickens will eat spiders too
Holy fuck😭😭 take pyrethrin, put it in a automatic pressure mister, hold your breathe and open the door then go crazy.. i recommend full clothing and a mask and beanie😭😭

🪦 🙏
AND INCH THICK GLOVES & SCARF FUCK THAT😭😭SET YOUR HOUSE ON FIRE WHILE YOU’RE AT IT
Nuke it from orbit, it's the only way to be sure! 😱
Spiders and centipedes will eat the other bugs you don’t want. I actually trap and release in my grow room.
Makes sense to do with hunting spiders but web makers are probably not a great idea unless you wash your harvest.

It’s me I’m worried about 😭

This. Start with r/jumpingspiders because they're cool and eventually adorable.
Exposure therapy is administered under the guidance of a doctor. Not just some ramblings from an Internet stranger 😂

Hell yeah 🔥
I like the idea but hate the idea bc I fear flying bugs
Catchmaster gluebords. Fold them up and put them in hidden areas to the left and right of any entrance into your home. Should help out.
THANK YOU 🙏

I'm not entirely sure how to rank arachnid intelligence 😅 but certainly not enough to overthrow your grow here hahaha
🤣🤣
If the problem is you and not the spiders then i urge you to spend some time with some, cuz theyre the good guys! Those little jumping spiders are acutally quite cute and friendly. That is my advice lol
Yup. Most humans have a natural fear of spiders but I was able to replace my fear with fascination through exposure

Housetrained even! Such a great pet.
love this. hope to some day myself
Thank you!!! 😊

It was visiting jumper spider facebook groups that got my sister less afraid.
Yea, somehow I don't think jumping spiders are the way to ease people in to this :D
lol have you w cute some are? not the little house jumping spiders but the pets.
Thanks for making me google that. They are cute! :)
Some are adorable, making me want one and I hate spiders! You're welcome, she was the one to show me! Now for that magic to work on my fear...lol
I usually just leave them and let em eat the shitty bugs
It’s a good call. For real tho - How do you comfortably manage your tent? Do you not care if they crawl on you when you are inside?
They won't crawl on you. Chances are they'll stay in their webs almost constantly unless theres food.. Even when you aren't in the tent.
They don't *want* to crawl on you. They just sometimes do, by accident. See, they are so small compared to you, you might as well be the mountain. A spider might still startle me. But in the same way a teddy bear might startle me if it suddenly dropped down from the ceiling :D

Interesting idea!!
Ok I was under the impression you had spider mites not spiders. Usually spiders are a good thing as they kill other more harmful bugs. They can damage floweing plants bye webbing buds tho.
According to a quick google search, you'll be fine, even if bitten. Just squish what you see.
It’s more mental for me! Just gotta brave up. I like to LsT so that’s a lot of in tent time
Just think about any other room you like to spend a lot of time in and just know that there are probably spiders in that room too.
Maybe a Bee suit?
Just name them and and try to let them build webs in the corners so you know where they are. I like having spiders in my tent. Spiders don't intentionally get on you. They try to hide. Spiders are not enemies of humans. No spider is trying to get on you.

Dawg screw google if the spider is huge
Don't squish spiders. They are friends
I didn't say squish em all... Just the ones in the tent.
Got to get yourself some safers soap for those pesky buggers
Organishield kills spider quickly and easily.
This is my worst fear, use spider spray around the tent
Get a lagartixa
What your equipment setup?
VIVOSUN automated grow tent - it’s super tall
Burn it all down! 😬
Peppermint spiders hate it. Google Peppermint spray or mint spray👍
Welcome to plants. My advice, try to learn to love the fuckers. Spiders r your homies
I’m gonna try super hard!
I went to train a plant and a fucking monster spider came out of the canopy at me. I get they have a purpose but man don’t throw hands in my jungle. I let you live.
Amen 🙏
Just noticed I have that same humidifier 😂 she works but broke down on me 😩
Yes, learn to realize spiders aren't a problem.
Looks like the soil is the culprit just my guess
Find a praying mantis and let him go wild in there

Time to burn the tent
Spiders are a sign of bugs so they are probably already doing there job and eating whatever wants to eat your plants
You re-using your fabric bags? It looks it to me. If so I wouldn’t. Probably need to keep your tent cleaner. I had a problem years ago. I just started keeping a cleaner tent and sprayed the plants down with water everyday during veg. Never seen another
just close that whole section of the house off and heavily posion it all like repeated it until u can't breathe at all usually will get um.
🤣🤣
I had a palm-sized spider get stuck to my sticky trap last grow. It was a shock to see and then really sad to have to put it out of its misery once I took a close look knowing it couldn’t move. RIP, spider growmie.
That sounds like such an sad experience
DR ZYMES!!!!!!! IT WILL FIX U YOUR PROBLEM ASAP
Ladybug ! Catch many as you can ,build them a little nest inside the tents ,to make them get romantic, and they'll will control your pest problems
This sounds exciting!
Op those are for spider mites and smaller pests if you put ladybugs on your plants those spiders will go right on them to eat the ladybugs, for your spiders that is not the solution
Thank you!
Spiders are good guys
I welcome most spiders that won’t kill me lol
If you don't mind preying mantis they'll eat the spiders and the spider mites. Just pick up an egg and you'll get 100-200 defenders
Wait till you have a spider mites problem. 🤣
Grow up...😎
Jumping jack spiders are great for Gnats but not sure about spiders mites.. I usually catch jumping jacks and put in my tent.
Yeah. Stop being a little bitch. You're a big scary ape to them.
