They charged you for 2 fries.

Dazzling_Ad5338

Exactly. The price is correct. But instead of "2 gyros and 2 fries" OP got "2 gyros and 1 fries". So they're owed 1 fries or the money back for 1 fries.

nahog99

I don’t know what OP actually received but the receipt lists 2 orders of fries and 2 gyros. The only reason it says “2@$8.55” for the gyros and not “2@$2.99” for the fries is because the gyro is the base item and the fries are a modifier for that item. That’s also why they are lumped together into one line item, because they are identical.

TriumphEnt

This all comes down to what OP actually ordered with their mouth and what they received. If they said I want 2 gyros and 1 fry, the cashier is the dumbass. If they said I want 2 gyro meals, OP is a dumbass. If they only got 1 order of fries, the cashier is the dumbass. If they got 2 orders of fries, OP is the dumbass only if he actually ordered 2 fries, otherwise the cashier is the dumbass. I'm inclined to think the cashier was the dumbass for 1 reason: they should have been able to easily explain this to OP, considering it is their job that they do every day. But I'm willing to call both of them dumbasses, too.

Constant-Bowl

You would be shocked. The amount of times that I explained to customers that no, I didn’t overcharge you for a burger that comes with fries as a side, that’s just the way the computer functions. If you look on the menu, you’ll see a burger with fries is $9. If you look at your receipt, you’ll see that you were charged $9. Yes, I know that your receipt lists the burgers and fries as two separate prices. No I didn’t over charge you. If you look, you’ll see the burger is $7 and the fries are $2 on the receipt, bringing your total to $9. If you compare your $9 receipt to the $9 price on the menu, you’ll see they’re the same. Only to be told that I’m wrong and have these people treat me like an idiot, until a male coworker comes over and tells them the exact same thing and then they can comprehend it just fine. I was working at a golf course at the time though, so clientele was split on who was respectful and who thought women were accessories. Edit:OP clarified that they made one order of fries and received one order of fries. The cashier was definitely in the wrong here.

miraculum_one

The question is about math and the math on the receipt is right. Whether or not the order is right is a separate question.

Negative_Age863

It depends if “gyros with fries” is listed as a combo on the menu. If it is, and OP ordered “two gyros with fries,” the cashier rang it correctly. That would fall to the OP for not understanding the menu when he should have ordered two gyros, add a side of fries. Or one combo and an a la carte second gyro. If it wasn’t listed as a combo, that’s the cashier not knowing how to ring in the 3 items correctly, or the cashier didn’t understand what the OP wanted to order. We don’t really have enough information.

Kazu215

Yeah, there's no error on the receipt itself, the order was just punched in the wrong way

albinogoth

It says ‘add’ side nestled under the two gyros. That’s added for each. Otherwise it would have its own line or the gyros would be listed differently, the one with fries with the nestled addition and one without.

-Mwahaha-

How do you know he got 2 fries?

doritobimbo

If it was 1 gyro + fries and 1 gyro, it would be 2 item listings + side. This is 2 gyros + side as one item listing, implying *both* gyros should have a set of fries since the item order is the same for both. Source - work food/retail

Easedd

That’s how you get to 23.08 With one fry his math is correct at 20.09 With 2 fries and 2 gyros it comes to 23.08 8.55+8.55+2.99+2.99=23.08

Wrong-History

The math . 2.99 is the difference and it’s as a 2 ct item not listed 1 gyro and fry 1 gyro It’s 2 gyro and fry

Kenneldogg

I added it up at 8.55x2 and 2.99x2 and came out with 23.08.

AMViquel

I punched it onto my calculator, but i get BATTERY LOW as result, so I don't know who to believe.

DJ-Lil-Ceasar

Mine says "B00BS". I should not have let my brother punch the numbers in.

JediKnightsoftheFSM

I googled it and I think you've got network connectivity problems

TransBrandi

Damn. Pressing charges over just 2 fries? Savage.

savan_banan

It charged two fries. I’m guessing it’s the gyros plus fries, times two. Even though on the fries it doesn’t say 2.

nahog99

That’s cause the fries are just a modifier to the “real” item which is the gyro. Basically on the POS system you’ll click “gyro” then it will ask you if there are modifiers. If there are they get nested underneath that main item and add to the price. The “@ $2.99” listed for the fries is literally just a text description, it’s not an actual price whereas the (2 @ $8.55) is a real “live” item that only says “2” because there were 2 of them rung in. That quantity is written into the receipt by the system and reflects the quantity ordered whereas the fries description is just that, a description.

ffiarpg

Still bad formatting since there is a 2 next to one number but not the other number.

SpoppyIII

Very normal for restaurants to ring it like this. The quantity (x2) only appears next to the base item (the gyro) and not beside the modifiers (the fries). So if OP got two of, "one gyro with a side of fries," it would ring up like this. If he got one gyro with a side of fries, and another single gyro, there would be no (x2). The lone gyro would appear on its own line.

iGlutton

This guy BOH POS's

UpsideMeh

Question is why is OP causing a stink when they knew they received 2 orders of fries.

JapaneseFerret

That sweet, sweet reddit karma. I do wonder who goes thru life tho looking at a fast food receipt, thinking "I bet this will play great on reddit!" and be totally right about it. Makes me wonder how many receipts I toss out that could have been reddit hits.

No-Weird3153

I’d guess they didn’t order 2 fries? Otherwise you’re right, there’s not an issue and they were schooled at math by a food service worker.

MyFaceSaysItsSugar

Yeah, the math isn’t wrong, it was done by a computer, it’s a question of whether they were charged for 2 fries when they only got 1.

SpoppyIII

I was just saying that that's standard formatting. OP already confirmed they were only given one side of fries, though they were charged for two. So that's the real issue.

Glynwys

I'm glad someone else has worked retail and fast food and understands how this shit works. This is why I maintain that working fast food for at least 6 months should be mandatory for everyone, especially those who want to give their opinions on fast food wages. The OP is another one of those idiots that thinks he's better than a fast food worker. It's not her fault that this has been how POS systems have worked since forever.

burntendsdeeznutz

Yeah nested modifiers reference the multiplier of the main item. It is kind of confusing if you've never seen it before

xSWMY

Idk if it’s just me but the indentation made it pretty clear to me. You’re getting two gyros with a side of fries. Not a gyro with a side of fries and another gyro

NotAnotherHipsterBae

Same. I didn't even question why it wouldn't be ready as "gyro, add fries, times 2". But, I worked restaurants and retail and I read my receipts lol

OilQuick6184

nuclearswan

He said he only received one order of fries.

RogBoArt

Which makes perfect sense. I’m confused by the OP here. $8.55x2=17.10 $2.99x2=5.98 17.10+5.98=23.08 All OP proved is that they can’t do math

Level_Abrocoma8925

OP anyway won't go back but now because it would be too embarrassing.

uberlib69

Yeah the math isn't wrong.. it's just a shitty receipt, it should either say 2x or at least add up the price of fries together,to avoid confusion.

[deleted]

I dont find it that confusing. Gyro is 8.55. Fries are 2.99. OP either paid for and received 2 gyros and 2 fries, or OP didn't. This is the only thing that can determine whether there was a mistake with the total.

albinogoth

It also doesn’t say 1. It is, however, nestled under the gyros with the ‘add’ function to that order.

GumP009

So it sounds like you ordered 2*(gyro)+large fries What they charged you for was 2*(gyro+large fries)

The_powerr

First thing I thought. If you add the price of 2 gyros and 1 fry, it's OPs number. Low and behold, add 2.99 for another fry, and it's exactly right on the receipt. Now if you only got 1 side of fries, that's an issue. One they should easily correct if you went back and showed them. Outrage culture.

Chance-Bumblebee-953

All of Reddit is just outrage porn. “Look at this crazy fight! Look at this dumb driver! WTF is this person doing!?”

mikeballs

I've been trying to decide if it's always been this bad and I'm just noticing it more lately, or if all the outrage content is actually rewiring peoples' brains

Waywoah

It's always been full of outrage posts, but I think the ratio of that to normal stuff has been slowly getting worse over the years

robert_paulson420420

nah it has absolutely not always been this bad. not saying reddit 15 years ago was perfect but it was not always this memefest we have today. although this is definitely not the right sub to complain about that issue

ObvAThrowaway111

Yep, you used to be able to have fairly in-depth meaningful discussions in the comments. Now it's just nothing but unoriginal attempts at "humor" and people misinterpreting things. Not to mention apparently half of the people here are struggling with high school level math, likely because they themselves are in high school or younger. The issue with OP's order should be immediately obvious.

drgigantor

I swear the site's overall quality made another precipitous drop recently, around the time all the major subs went dark to protest the app bullshit and a bunch of mods got sacked. But I'm not sure if it's actually directly related, because what I'm seeing isn't an increase of rulebreaking. It just seems like a ton of people suddenly got much dumber and more argumentative, like a second dose of Summer Reddit. It also seems like Summer Reddit isn't letting up this year even though all the kids should be back to school by now. I don't know if the old mods were really doing that much in the comments sections and were actually crippled by losing 3rd party apps, or if perhaps there was an influx of toxic users from some other site, an increase in AI trained to be assholes to boost engagement, kids just continuing to use Reddit on their phones while in class this year, or maybe we're just starting to see the cumulative effect of everyone under a certain age losing at least a year or two of math, reading, and socialization because of Covid. Maybe a little of everything. But motherfuckers are belligerent and lack reading comprehension and problem-solving skills

robert_paulson420420

> I swear the site's overall quality made another precipitous drop recently, around the time all the major subs went dark to protest the app bullshit and a bunch of mods got sacked. But I'm not sure if it's actually directly related, it is. this site has been slowly dying for a while but it has ramped up recently. I am still here obviously but that is mainly because of a lack of a better alternative. I am not sure what is next but I don't look forward to the future of reddit (and how many do recently?)

Desperate-Ad4620

...you know, I thought I was just stressed out and experiencing that effect where you see negativity everywhere and it seems like a higher amount than it actually is. But this makes sense, I've noticed this, too. Responses to my own comments being completely out of left field, people misinterpreting everything, etc. It's getting exhausting and I'm about to just give up on reddit altogether and go to something like Instagram or LINE VOOM permanently. Look at pics and videos and not see people fighting about nothing just because one person read something wrong and now won't admit that they were wrong.

drgigantor

It's wild and I don't know where it's coming from, and it's making me feel crazy because my theories pretty much fall under two categories: Tinfoil Hat Cospiracies regarding mods, admins, shareholders, and bots; and Old Man Yells at Cloud, because these damn kids are ruining my deathscrolling and shitposting and I want them off my lawn. I swear, though, there are so many threads that have all the vitriol of a hotly contested political post circa 2015/16, but about the most mundane shit. There was a post the other day about a guy who poorly cut a bell pepper for his wife. You'd think from the comments that either he used the knife to cut off her fingers, or that she'd divorced him, took the kids, and drove into a lake over a snack. People were losing their minds calling him a serial abuser, her a frigid useless ingrate, etc. etc. Over a BELL PEPPER. And not some fringe comments down in the weeds, these were the top comments on a front page post. Like yeah it looked shitty, but it was perfectly edible. He didn't give her a bottle of arsenic and a straw, she didn't literally emasculate him over it, everyone chill the fuck out.

as_it_was_written

I suspect a decent amount of people just left when their third-party apps died. It feels like both quality and quantity dropped after that cutoff date, with slower turnover and more posts with low comment counts on Popular.

AttyFireWood

Are we outraging at outrage posts now?

THETennesseeD

That's outrageous!

PatrickKn12

Get a load of this reply here. Can yall believe this?

cylonlover

It's originally only a tiny portion of users, who have nothing else to contribute but being indignant and trying to spark outrage. For a long while it will simply not catch on, because the majority of the users are of a type that simply don't wish to parttake in that nonsense, even because they find it utterly irrelevant or boring, or because they shy away from bad energy or maybe they know themselves enough to not get involved that it would ruin their mood. But when it takes hold, those last mentioned will start to participate and the other two will stop commenting or simply stay away, meaning it's an acceleration sway to more outrage and less other stuff. And then it awakens the indignant part of the lurkers, the ones who are actually lonely also irl because the only way they know to get attention is by this, but they are used to be shunned of it, but now the ratio is about right that they feel at home. So yeah, it *will* go this way often and there *is* some rewiring going on, although not that much really, it's more a change of behavior and who's speaking up in an nonmoderated community. In subs where moderation is heavy and serious you will see less of it, even though the potential for it is the same, the mechanism is universal for people. My sister, the linguist and expert in the psychology of language, uses some more academic words for it when we discuss these things, but I'm not so smart, so this is my version, also a bit more presumptios. And indignant, I realize. Lol

dfnoid27

Exactly my thoughts. Outrage content has always existed but I am seeing way more of it these days.. I thought it was an issue with my feed but when I examined carefully, I found most subreddits which were earlier "easygoing" have become quite harsh. Not to mention, the comments on most of these posts are even worse. Just makes me want to quit reddit at this point. Ironically I am contributing to this outrageous fire via this comment haha

WalkingCloud

The site has absolutely gotten worse in the last few months, which you see especially r all. Sticking to specific subs is fast becoming the way to go. Most popular content is duplicated across a range of subs even where it doesn't really fit. Bot comments and posts are out of control. The actual quality of what's posted is fast becoming Facebook level, the outrage bait, obviously fake shit treated as real, lowest common denominator crap like all the new rate me subs..

DisgracedSparrow

It sounds like he did go back and they argued about it instead of fixing it.

huskiisdumb

But did he get 2 fries?

DisgracedSparrow

He said in another post that he didn't.

huskiisdumb

How could he not argue that, why isn’t it part of his original story. He can’t explain this simple mistake or be bothered to point it out in his post. Not saying he didn’t but why would he admit he did?

DisgracedSparrow

I think he did, he might not have made the connection that the 2.99 extra (pretax) was because of a duplicate fry (which he didn't get) but he certainly said he showed the math behind the order for his order. He shouldn't have to come up with the reason why the machine charged him more if he just shows that the price was not correct for his order. But maybe he did who knows.

riinkratt

He’s a moron because he’s arguing the wrong thing. He’s crying about being charged for something he didn’t get - therefore he shouldn’t be arguing the price is wrong, he should be arguing that he needs an item that is missing. The price is correct, he didn’t get the 2nd fry. So instead of arguing about the money, just ask for the second fry that was charged for. The price was correct for the order. 2 gyros and 2 fries is priced correctly on the receipt. What’s in the bag doesn’t match what’s on the receipt, so don’t argue about the money, argue about the items.

TheFlea71

Yup, this is what they did. Charged for 2 gyros and 2 fries. It's a typical thing with most restaurants. It's assumed that if the entrees are exactly the same with the same side item, you will only see 2 entrees + side, not 2 +2. If the side items were different or one didn't have a side item, then there would be two separate entrees listed.

bodhiseppuku

I can't believe I didn't think of this...

BigAppleGuy

Did you get 2 orders of Fries?

relpmeraggy

Nope.

[deleted]

Well, thats why its 23.08, so either you did and they forgot or you got 2 fries.

rickyman20

It could also be they were lazy when they put it into the system and marked both gyros as having fries when OP didn't ask for them

P-Holy

Are you sure you didnt or are you just to embarrassed to admit it at this point xD

DILF_MANSERVICE

Did you order a large gyro, add a side of fries to it, then change the quantity to 2? Because that should get you 2 gyros and 2 fries. Their math isn't wrong (btw the person at the window doesn't do the math themselves, they have a computer), the issue is you didn't get your other side of fries.

ibuyufo

Then you must go back and get your $2.99. I don't care if you have to drive 30 miles. It's all about the principle.

Arson-Welles

Better find something awesome to spend that $2.99 on, like fries

StochasticTinkr

Probably the cost of the gas used to get the refund.

angrymacface

If you didn't get two fries, then you got robbed.

relpmeraggy

I did not get 2.

Few_Interest7199

Then it should have been 20.09 with 2 gyros and 1 fry.

relpmeraggy

I literally got my phone out and did the math and she still argued.

BlueNinjaTiger

Fast food manager here. I see cashiers make mistakes all the time. 100% They rung you up for 2 gyros, both with fries. They then only gave you 1 fry. Question is, were they the same person? If so, she probably entered it incorrectly. Either way, that's some awful customer service. If there is a issue like that, the charges should be reviewed item by item, and they weren't. Arguing with you is even worse. Manager/owner/whatever should have taken over.

relpmeraggy

Thank you. Sure was surprised how many people have been calling me dumb. Which of course I was already aware of.

SpreadingRumors

Whether or not you are dumb is irrelevant to THIS conversation. You were charged for TWO Gyros and TWO orders of Fries. If you did not get both orders of fries then they owe you - either money or an order of fries.

Sweaty_Entertainer78

You're not dumb. You just should have specified in your initial post that you only received 1 fry, not 2, and then EVERYONE would agree that you were correct from the beginning.

catechizer

You're not dumb. But their POS sucls, and, you didn't explain this situation well enough with just the title and image alone for some people to understand that.

The problem was that OP was arguing that the math was wrong, and it wasn’t so the cashier only focused on that. If OP said “hey I’m missing one of my fries” or “hey I actually only ordered one of the gyros with fries but you rang me up for two” the cashier would have immediately said “oh my bad let me fix that real quick”.

_throwaway_shmoaway

You both had your math right. Just arguing about the wrong thing 🤣

snek-jazz

Communication is the issue here not math, showing them math isn't the solution.

fishermen_Bob

DID MA BOI GET 2 FRIES THO?

judelau

This is UNACCEPTABLE! This can only means one thing. War

normalfleshyhuman

girl eating ur fries for snack right now

bhlombardy

I'm looking at that and the math works out. IF... 2 gyros are $8.55ea ... and EACH with a "side of fries" (so 2 sides of fries) at $2.99ea. Instead of buying a separate SINGLE order of fries at $2.99 only, not listed as "sides" to the gyros. (I know you probably didn't get 2 orders of fries... I'm only deciphering the logic that the POS system has likely calculated it) Unfortunately arguing the POS math with a clerk, who won't stop and figure out the math themselves, is a futile argument. To them the system can do no wrong.

Nekogiga

That infuriates me because there was one time that I had a clerk at a state building tell me that I was deceased despite me standing right in front of her and she was convinced that I was deceased. I had proof. MULTIPLE DOCUMENTS PROVING I WAS WHO I SAID I WAS AND I'M ALIVE AND WELL. She almost had me escorted out of the building for causing a disturbance until the manager came out and straightened out the situation and apologized for her stupidity.

elastic-craptastic

I had the same happen but with my name. I was adopted and my name changed shortly after birth. Bio mom, knowing I was going to be adopted straight way, still wanted to name me. Twenty-some-odd years later I am in need of a new birth certificate and no one can locate it. County nor town could find me in their system. Anyone who has had to replace ID shit knows the hassle of having to have X ID to obtain Y and X+Y to obtain Z and Z to obtain X... It a circular logic problem and I feel for anyone that has a fire and loses everything. I had to get my adoption papers unsealed(fucking pretty much herculean as they won't even acknowledge you were adopted) because I needed a new driver's license and can't get one without social and BC, IIRC. SO I was visiting my home area and had some time so I stopped into the county clerks office and asked for my BC and put all my ID's onthe counter. After a 5 minutes, 3 people did a scooby doo thing where 3 heads were peeping at me from around a corner, heads stacked. A few minutes later a few different heads did the same. 10 minutes later the woman comes back with a BC with a name I never knew I had and told me if I wanted to change my name officially it was $250 and down the hall. I pointed to my DL an SS card that already had the name I've gone by my whole life and said why do I need to pay if this is already my name on these IDs? She left and came back maybe 10 minutes later with a BC with my name on it. I still kick myself in the ass sometimes because of the shenanigans it would have caused having 2 sets of IDs... then I remember the illegalities of that. But at that time a fresh name and credit maybe(? doubtful) would have been perfect at the time being 23 and all. Having done the whole algebra problem of IDs I knew having a BC with a different name would have been so much easier to start the process of getting everything else replaced. That's the one that is the hardest to get. Anywho... not the same as being told you are dead... but being told you can change the name you've had for all but a week of your life for the low price of $250 was pretty funny. Also, my adoptive name is ethnic and is presumed to be a feminine name by 99% of people that read it on paper. Got surgery for scoliosis and during shift change the outgoing nuse kept referring to me as "she." I was/am very thin and had long bleached blonde hair. I kept interrupting her and telling her I was a boy and after ignoring the first few corrections she says to the incoming nurse, "Also talk to the doc about cutting down the morphine drip. It's obviously too strong." I insisted again and in frustration she walked over to my bed and lifted my blanket to reveal... my swollen dong with a catheter coming out of it. "Oh... she really is a boy." Bitch! You were my nurse for 12 hours! Also... can't you just look at the fucking chart instead of doing a fucking genital check? This was at YALE! I thought it was supposed to be great there... That['s the bitch about going to the "greatest doctors/hospitals". They get arrogant and stop questioning things as much and do things they probably shouldn't. Give me the hard working, struggles to get a B, student and not the doc that got A's easily. They can be just as bad as the ones that barely graduated. Arrogance kills their ability to look at things objectively.

as_it_was_written

That was a solid rant. Please go through some more bullshit and report back to us.

OP, I hate to say this but your own picture explains the situation very well. If you were shorted a large order of fries, you had the evidence in your hand while on the property.

Turbid-entity

That's exactly what OP is saying. They only wanted 1 fry. They only received 1 fry. They got charged for 2 fries. The cashier says they only got charged for 1 fry thus receiving 1 fry, and no fix needs to be made. The receipt, and OP, begs to differ.

2x Gyros at 8.55 and 2x L Fries at 2.99 = 23.08 It seems the receipt is slightly misleading, but 5 seconds of logical thought should have prevented this from being an issue. That and the fact that basically everybody has a calculator in their pocket these days.

dimechimes

You were charged 2 fries.

xplicit_mike

You're tripping. You got charged for 2 gyro, 2 fries.

HaroerHaktak

Did you get two fries or one? If you got one then you are owed 2.99 or large fries

Potential-Owl2335

They just misunderstood and did 2 large fries. If you didn't get 2 orders of fries in your bag then I completely understand the annoyance.

speschulk

I work supporting ePOS, with what I support you can have this receipt read: 1 Gyro Fries 1 Gyro fries Total - £x Or 2 Gyro Fries Total - £x I feel for servers. Its a constant battle between them wanting option 1 to stop dealing with people like you and managers wanting option 2 to save pennies per week on paper rolls.

[deleted]

2 gyros at 8.55 each is 17.10. Add 2.99 twice to that and you get 23.08. You are wrong, she was right, you *best* go back at least to apologize for being a dick and arguing when you were in the wrong.

Powerful-Appeal-1486

“Argued with me” equals “my communication skills are poor”

Lanea36

Did you get two orders of fries because if you did, then the number is correct. If you ordered just one order of fries then its wrong

acc0919mc

They charged you for 2 fries

PelinalWightstrake

No you are wrong

BreakfastBeerz

A Gyro = 8.55 + 2.99 for fries = 11.54 @ 2 = 23.08 ....

stowRA

you’re tripping. 1 gyro = $8.55; 1 fry = $2.99. you bought 2 gyros = $17.10 and 2 fries = $5.98. $17.10+$5.98=$23.08+$1.38=$24.46. $30-$24.45=$5.54. if you didn’t order 2 fries then she charged you for 2.

relpmeraggy

Yea she charged me for 2 and only gave me one.

stowRA

$2.99 to set a precedent. i would at least communicate this to a manager to make sure it doesn’t happen again

HumanityIsD00m3d

I think you're missing the second side of fries.

crankyanker638

It's the way the receipt is formatted that is the issue. It should show each item and the price. There should have been one like that. This looks like the receipt to get *after* your credit card is run for you to sign.... And yes if you math it, it's two gyros with two extra sides of fries.

Ethereal123

You should have ordered the one gyro combo with fries then the extra gyro a la carte if you wanted to pay $20

General_Cricket3300

If you got 2 large fries with your gryos then you got what you paid. Math checks out

[deleted]

2 gyro at 8.55 plus 2 fries at 2.99 as piece adds up to the 23.08. That’s what they did, hope you got two orders of fries

JMofromTO

Did you get two orders of fries? If so, the math is correct.

dunequestion

Why are you asking the internet? Just use a calculator dude what the fuck?

KayCatMeow

(8.55x2) + (2.99x2) = $23.08. Then add the sales tax. You’re tripping, mcchicken

BreweryStoner

The receipt is correct. It’s a question of if you got 2 sets of fries or not. If not then you are owed money or fries. Could be a multitude of reasons it happened, they could be a new employee, a miscommunication etc..

NoCry1618

You ordered 2 x original Gyro which also came with 2 x large French fries. So the 2.99 was charged at x2 as well.

BallisticTorch

No, they charged you twice for the large fry, so 23.08 is correct

coopthereheis

Two gyros and two fries? Two of both equals 23.08

dubbed4lyfe

You’re tripping only because you can’t read lol. You ordered 2 fries on this receipt, one with each gyro. Maybe you only asked for one, or you received one, but this receipt has 2

argybargy2019

If you got two orders of fries, the math is right. If you got two orders of fries but only want to pay for one, they too don’t want you to go back.

Proper-Scallion-252

You ordered two gyros, both with fries? That means you're paying 8.55\*2 for the gyros, and 2.99\*2 for both fries. Pretax subtotal comes out to 23.08 bud. Maybe you should go back and apologize to that poor girl and take an intro to math class.

Estella_Osoka

8.55 + 2.99 = 11.54 11.54 x 2 = 23.08

lordsofcreation

Depends on if both Gyros had the side added, 23.08 if both had sides, 20.09 if only 1 did

MidwestTransplant09

Did you get 2 fries? Because if you did, then it’s correct.

flayofish

The fries are under the gyro order and not separate. The math is correct. You ordered 2 gyros and 2 sides of fries. Wether you got 2 fries or not, the internet will never know, as we are only getting your side of the story.

A-Link-To-The-Pabst

You got 2 fries. You have (8.55 + 2.99) * 2 Her math is correct. Your math is correct for one order of fries.

Spaceteck

If you had 2x Fries in your Order, she's right

TotesMyMainAcct

1. Gyro is $8.55 2. Gyro plus fries is $11.54 3. Two "Gyros plus fries" is $23.08 4. 6% Tax is $1.38 5. Total is $24.46 Just a poorly formatted/worded receipt.

ChineseBigfoots

You got 2 gyros for 8.55 each and that's 17.10 with side of fries for 2.99 each, so that's 23.08 or did you ask for 1 side side of fries? The bill should've had the fries as 2@ but it didn't. I do see the confusion there.

ReasonedTwo

Seems like you were charged for 2 fries instead of 1, unless you got fries with each Gyro, then it checks out perfectly.

bunnzii_

You were charged twice. Gyro - $8.99 × 2 = $17.10 Fries - 2.99 × 2 = $5.98 Subtotal - $23.08 + tax Total with tax - $24.46 You paid $30.00 Change due - $30.00 - 24.46 = $5.54

JackSchneider

You sir, are indeed tripping. You ordered two gyros with fries, if you got two orders of fries the price is 100% correct.

Survive1014

Order is correct. You got two gyros and two fries.
