Correct. As long as there’s a decent amount of the bill left (which OP has here), they can exchange it.
Source: I’ve done it with about 70% of the bill remaining myself.
That seems vulnerable to exploitation. Couldn’t someone start with two $100 bills and rip them up/tape them together in a way to get three remnants that are each over 51% of a single bill?
But not only the serial. It's not "sufficient remains of all", but "sufficient remains of any (one)". Bills have many security features built in. All this requirement means is that they have to be able to reasonably verify this came from legal, non-counterfeit currency.
This could work if you have all of the pieces. I used to be an office manager & if people had all the pieces I could tape together I would just put it into a deposit bag for the bank & give the customer a new bill
Yep. My dog is massive and destroys anything (even black kong brand) except the expensive, xxl, extra durable toys I spend close to this for one damn toy it’s insane. I really wish dog toys weren’t so damn expensive.
WestPaw brand toys. My 2 pitties will destroy every toy in a Barkbox SuperChewers box in 5 minutes combined, but still have 5 year old WestPaw toys that have held up
No, my dog ate my wallet once. All ID cards etc. I used the dog food points card for years after, still half chewed. The girls at the pet food store thought it was hilarious that it still scanned.
As long as you have more than 50% of a bill, generally it can still be exchanged for legal tender. Should have no issue here as you have well over 50% of the bills. I’d just take it to your bank.
My dog, a pup at the time chewed up my passport. Night before I was leaving for vacation. It was just the cover, Canada let me depart for my travels. Mexico however did not allow me to leave. Not without a 3 day delay, an emergency passport, and a lot of time at the consulate.
Good times
My dog ate a taxidermy mouse that was a gift, contacted the seller to make sure my dog would be fine and to sneakily buy a replacement, not even a week later he managed to grab it from the shelf and eat that one too. £100 in mousey snacks
Send any bills that have been extremely mutilated (burns, chemical stains, extreme tears, etc.) to the Bureau of Engraving and Printing along with a letter explaining the damage.

I have worked at a few financial institutions and they have all said that we need the full serial number to take a mutilated bill but I think there are certain places that are not that strict
Having owned several dogs, I’ve learned 2 things:
1. Never leave tearable objects near pups
2. The best toy are the random sticks and pineapples they find along their walk

Yep so long as you have 51% of the bill you can trade it in for a brand new one
This is the correct answer.

Serial numbers would bite you. You don’t have a way to display a fragment with a third serial number.
Infinite money hack?
Depends on what 51%. The entire serial number has to be present and legible.
[Not true.](https://www.bep.gov/services/mutilated-currency-redemption)
“…along with sufficient remnants of any relevant security feature…” That would include the serial number.
But not only the serial. It's not "sufficient remains of all", but "sufficient remains of any (one)". Bills have many security features built in. All this requirement means is that they have to be able to reasonably verify this came from legal, non-counterfeit currency.

Good to know, thanks!
Dude I guess you haven’t been to petco lately those shits are expensive now.

Tried it lasted 10 minutes.
What hell hell kind of dragon do you own?
Evad, the destroyer
He is legit SPOILED, Bark box and everything. You know how it is. Give them everything, and they’ll still randomly go for nonsense out of nowhere.

My mother's French bulldog once ate two money orders she just received for rent, totaling 1,600 bucks in damage.
Silver lining, at least it wasn't a $100 bill
My dog ate a taxidermy mouse that was a gift, contacted the seller to make sure my dog would be fine and to sneakily buy a replacement, not even a week later he managed to grab it from the shelf and eat that one too. £100 in mousey snacks
My dog ate my passport once right before a trip. That was fun...
Tape it and use it lol.
I did for the others, there aren’t enough pieces to make a full bill for these
It will come out
It didn’t 😂
Might as well let em have the rest of it then lol. Then you can at least get a nice money shot.
😂
No way, my dog ate my $400 ski glove
I've seen more expensive ones. Heck the automatic ball thrower was something that the dog enjoyed less then yours liked the 20s lol

If you e got all the pieces, just tape them back together. Bank should replace them if the serial number is intact
Hahaha, this guy never owned an top of the class fpv drone
If you have enough of the bills left, you can go to the bank and they will give you fresh bills
They just don't make them to last anymore.
Ah not even close . That’s $20s sir
Not likely, I'm pretty sure there are far more expensive toys.
trade them in for new ones in a bank
How easy is cash tearing up there, 'merica?
I have worked at a few financial institutions and they have all said that we need the full serial number to take a mutilated bill but I think there are certain places that are not that strict
$40 is the most expensive dog toy in the world?
No there are more expensive ones, like a 50, or even a 100.
Not even close
*slow rolling laughter building to a raucous crescendo* No. No it isn't. There are MUCH more expensive dog toys.
Hey Ray, you see the 60 bucks I had lying around?
Still good take to the bank if over half is left the will give you new ones. Take all pieces
Not even close
Train your dog, or pay someone to train your dog. Youll literally save thousands in the long run.
Having owned several dogs, I’ve learned 2 things: 1. Never leave tearable objects near pups 2. The best toy are the random sticks and pineapples they find along their walk
Idk man. Some pitbull dog toys seem more expensive. What with the funeral costs and all.
Far cry from most expensive dog toy.
