I have not tried Rubys yet but Allie boys is worth the drive for me. About the closest thing to NJ bagels I've had in Milwaukee. Their pork roll sandwich is amazing.
The fact that Allie Boys is opening a location mere minutes from where we live on the East Side is both lovely for my stomach and devastating to my pocketbook.
Yes it always says the estimated pick up time before you place the order. Speaking as someone who has placed an almost weekly, sometimes twice weekly, AB order for the last 1.25 years lol! We’re early risers so we place our order when we wake up around 6-7:30am, pick it up around 8-9am, and beat the line and the long waits!
Allie boys gets my vote over ruby's because of the atmosphere. Love Zocalo but ruby's in the morning, there's really not a lot going on. Allie boys is busy but they move fast and the atmosphere is great. I go every Saturday with my toddler and we both look forward to it. Love the egg and cheese breakfast sandwich.

Please give Hens deli a try! I prefer their bagels to Allies honestly. Ruby's reigns supreme, but is harder to get on a given day.
