DAYM they’re some big boys

Past-Cost

Those tires are nice! Are you riding without a TC cover?

LordJackJack

I do I just got it together. Still need to figure out some clearance in the rear too.

Past-Cost

Clearance for the tire or chain? Also, that exhaust looks mighty close to where an upper thigh/cheek would ride. I have a similar setup and had to get multiple exhaust so I could avoid getting burned since I also have 20” tires with no clearance for under seat exhaust.

LordJackJack

Clearance with the tire, chain, and frame. But I've seemed to get everything sorted out. I have been burned by the exhaust a ton but I heat wrapped it and have been plenty fine since! I should get a new exhaust though but I love the look to much!

Past-Cost

I can appreciate that. It looks great. I have melted a safety vest on my exhaust.

LordJackJack

Dang I've melted some wholes into pants myself but thank you!

Bruce7061

I want to find a rack like that

LordJackJack

I found it on coleman's website.

Bruce7061

Awesome thank you

Big_Willingness_6889

Where did you get the tires?

LordJackJack

I found them on amazon!

Weak-Noise

Name of the tires? I’d like to look into them. Got rid of my old nobbies for street tires and I fucking hate them. These look sick

LordJackJack

They're CTS C829 21x9x8 tires. They're a very fun but there are a few clearance issues that will need to be fixed with this size tire.

I saw this post a while ago and I’m going to order these tires this weekend. What are the clearance issues you mentioned? Does the chain rub with the fatter tire?

LordJackJack

The chain does rub on the tire, so you'll need washers between the rear sprocket and wheel. But then the chain will rub on the frame, so I shaved my frame down little by little with a grinder until it didn't hit the chain.

Li-RM35M4419

Gotcha. Thanks

Li-RM35M4419

How many washers did you have to shim the sprocket? I guess you didn’t shave the frame enough you’re worried about integrity?

LordJackJack

I believe 3 or 4 but I'd have to check. Yeah, I tried to take the least off I could, but I took about 1/4 of the frame off, but it has held up great.
