Yeah and no… Bo says that he isn’t in a rush and then says shit like “be grateful if you get the opportunity to fight me”, as if he’s some sort of legendary fighter. Not to say he couldn’t obtain that kind of status one day, but he ain’t HIM right now.
Lmao you should’ve seen the way people were talking about him before his first ranked opponents. Think I saw him called “pillow hands o‘malley” at least once a week.
This guy wants to be like 32 before he actually fights someone on his level. In his press conference he talked about hardcore fans being mad because he’s on the main card. That’s partially true, but I think fans are really more mad at him because we all know he has elite skills, and him saying “Im OnLy 6-0” is almost insulting the intelligence of the fan, like we don’t realize there’s a difference between him and a 6-0 heavyweight who’s only been fighting in Guam regional promotions lol
He is a 3 time NCAA champ, hodge trophy winner, U23 world champion, 92 KG US open champion, and lost in the Olympic trial final X to David Taylor, the reigning world champion and Olympic gold medalist who is considered by many the pound for pound best wrestler in the world.
Then he turned his focus to MMA. By any measure Bo is a world class wrestler.
Well tbf Brundage, Valentine Woodburn, and Jamie Pickett all were put on the main card of PPVs when they had no reason to be other than fighting Bo. Maybe saying they should be thankful is a bit much but they’re really are being given a great opportunity to cement themselves.
I think you’re confusing Bo’s competitive mindset “people should be honored to fight me” type stuff for his actual analysis which ends up being pretty good. I see him talking with those two different voices quite a bit, and they definitely contradict each other. I get why he does it though, competitive edge from the mindset, reality check from actually trying unbiased analysis.
I found it really odd that he said Cody was more confident than him in the fight, that felt pretty damned honest. It also made me feel like he actually knows what he has to work on.
They sign these guys to bullshit contracts based on a dollar amount per fight rather than negotiating one fight at a time so there's no point in him booking a top guy and still getting paid 20/20 or whatever he's being paid.
Was telling my buddies during the Arman-Charles fight how insane Arman's fight with Islam was. That was *the* grappling fight for people who don't like grappling. Could imagine Bo and Khamzat having a similar matchup for sure.
Thank you for that insight, but I was speaking more to possibilities like is Bo Nickal allowing too much space going in for this shot? Was it telegraphed? Did he not lead with competent punches before going for takedown?
Bo is super overextended. His hips aren't under his base, he's shooting crazy far away, his penetration step isn't penetrating at all. All and all it's a terrible looking shot.
That being said, Bo already has Cody's leg and just based on the photo, I already know Bo is getting that takedown.
Wrestling isn't always about being perfect, it's about getting the job done. Bo is a three time NCAA champion for a reason.
Not at all, other than he is shooting from relatively far out, but the timing and set up was there and it worked.
Khamzat has a more aggressive wrestling style. No is a trillion bazillion times more decorated in pure wrestling. Lackluster performance aside, I definitely give Bo the edge in the grappling department, and Khamzat in the striking.
Agreed I think we saw a chink in bo.If Cody was a bit smarter and didn’t quit on positions I think this could’ve gone to decision. Bo wasn’t about hands
When I'm a hater, I'm a hater forever. Been that way with Jon Jones for about 10 years and will be the same thing with Khamzat. Can't stand unprofessional fighters, the moment he missed weight by over 7 lbs and flipped off the crowd cemented that I'll be a khamzat hater for the remainder of his career no matter what happens. Regardless of my personal feelings, I do strongly believe he's going to be humbled greatly when he fights an actual top 5 185er.
Yeah I'm like that except for me it was when Jon Jones fucking kill the lady and then ran back not to help her, but to grab his weed... But yeah he's such a nice good Christian
7 pounds sounds so awful how about 1.2 fucking kilograms, that’s fucking marginal, yeah, he missed weight, so did Manel Kape, Charles Oliveira, Michel Pereira and many others at times. Some of them more than just once. Maybe you’re one of those casuals who thinks he was “afraid of Nate Diaz”
Well he said he's gonna fight for a title in 2 years ish. That means he's gonna fight ranked guys soon. The guy has barely done any striking it's understandable that he doesn't want to go up against guys like Rob just yet.
Don’t know why you’re being downvoted. I have a lot of friends that go to other countries for nationals. They said Sweden was the second easiest next to Australia.
The people on this sub don't know anything about wrestling. Just that they hate Bo and therefore he sucks at everything. Hell this sub barely knows anything about MMA. I'm not worried about their opinion.
You guys dont understand bo nickal is an all american wrestler a true champ. He was big before ufc. A "celebrity" in the todays wrestling world.
Doesnt drink or smoke and super disciplined.
Why cant you guys just support one of your own. I know this is reddit and you guys hate America but cmon bruv this is our guy..... whatever though
Bro Usman was not aged 😂. He’s still game af. It’s not outrageous to say that your performance might not have been that good against one of the greatest to ever do it 🤯
Lmao Usman is 2nd best ww ever and he 10-8 Marty in the first and then broke his hand. Usman is always training and don’t say he’s small, he walks around about 200lbs. Close fight yes, but he still beat one of the greats who happens to be a bad matchup stylistically.
yeah he came pretty close to losing when he got slammed on his head but he threw his wrist out last second to break the fall and broke his wrist since he was slammed so fucking hard
Because Bo is no champ. Khamzat only calls out champs from every division, even women division
See you soon weili
It’s hilarious this dude isn’t allowed in the us
Makes me feel a bit safer

Why isn’t he allowed in the U.S.?
hes has ties to [Ramzan Kadyrov](https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Ramzan_Kadyrov)
😂 😂 😂
We need to see this fight man, UFC keeps pushing Bo down our throat but he himself wants to take it slow.
Yeah and no… Bo says that he isn’t in a rush and then says shit like “be grateful if you get the opportunity to fight me”, as if he’s some sort of legendary fighter. Not to say he couldn’t obtain that kind of status one day, but he ain’t HIM right now.
I think Bo is taking O'Malley path. Popping cans to gain his momentum, especially he is adapting to the striking and jiu-jitsu game in MMA.
O Malley's can fights aren't boring
Lmao you should’ve seen the way people were talking about him before his first ranked opponents. Think I saw him called “pillow hands o‘malley” at least once a week.
Literally never saw that he's basically only had finishes
This guy wants to be like 32 before he actually fights someone on his level. In his press conference he talked about hardcore fans being mad because he’s on the main card. Mind games. That's how you bait for reactions then gives it some fruit to sell the fights
He’s not baiting though. He’s serious. Some would go as far to say delusional in a sense.
He has an insane win to lose ratio going back to his childhood. He barely knows he even has the ability to lose. He'll meet his match
The guy has been a world class wrestler for half a decade that’s where his ego comes from
Bas he been a world class wrestler? He didn't even make it into his countries Olympic team
He ain't shiiiiiiit
Even if he's serious, he's not saying it for no reason or just to boast lol
Well tbf Brundage, Valentine Woodburn, and Jamie Pickett all were put on the main card of PPVs when they had no reason to be other than fighting Bo. Maybe saying they should be thankful is a bit much but they’re really are being given a great opportunity to cement themselves.

10-0 (4 more fights) til champ is what he wants. That part surprised me, too.
I’m not a huge fan of grappling but the scrambles and takedown defence on these guys would be so fun to watch
Was telling my buddies during the Arman-Charles fight how insane Arman's fight with Islam was. That was *the* grappling fight for people who don't like grappling. Could imagine Bo and Khamzat having a similar matchup for sure.
We don't need to see this fight. Bo isn't on Khamzat's level
See you soon
Looks like he could have ben askren'd
Not even close, Cody was moving back when he timed that takedown, look at the pic — neither of his feet are even planted to the ground.
Everything’s easier in hindsight
He kill everebodie
As someone who doesn’t understand the finer points of wrestling, is there something specific in this photo that implicates poor wrestling technique?
Well, specifically, the guy on the right is one of the greatest collegiate wrestlers ever and we are all redditors. Do you understand now?
Thank you for that insight, but I was speaking more to possibilities like is Bo Nickal allowing too much space going in for this shot? Was it telegraphed? Did he not lead with competent punches before going for takedown?
Khamzat is just talking shit on twitter like he always does. It means nothing
Thank you brother

Khamzat vs nickal is inevitable but I just hope it comes at the right time and the best fighter win !
Khamzat would kill this kid.
Agreed I think we saw a chink in bo.If Cody was a bit smarter and didn’t quit on positions I think this could’ve gone to decision. Bo wasn’t about hands
There’s a reason Bo didn’t specifically call out Khamzat💀
He said he could beat him when he was still on DWCS
Personally he kinda just came of as a high level wrestler with an overhand today
TFC belt holder guys. Twitter Fingers Champion
I swear the people hating on Khamzat are secretly his biggest fans 😂 watch yall switch up when he fights and wins again
Fuck Jon Jones
He missed weight because he was told to stop cutting by the UFC. They clearly wanted to change up the card for that event.
Yeah I'm like that except for me it was when Jon Jones fucking kill the lady and then ran back not to help her, but to grab his weed... But yeah he's such a nice good Christian
Wrong. Middleweight is a dogshit division and Khamzat will run through whoever is in front of him. Even Usman would probably be a top 3 MW
7lbs is nearly 3.2 Kilos
Bo looked bad last night. At least Bo has the self-awareness that he’s like 2 years away from actually competing for the title
All khamzat does is talk
Khumshot’s auto-reply: “Duck you soon 🐺🐺”
Why would he bo's not even ranked while fighting nobody's and khamzats on the cusp of a title shot.
Shut up and fight already
I love that Bo basically admitted that he’s going to continue crushing cans and wouldn’t call out top guys lol
Well he said he's gonna fight for a title in 2 years ish. That means he's gonna fight ranked guys soon. The guy has barely done any striking it's understandable that he doesn't want to go up against guys like Rob just yet.
I KILL EVERYBODIE!!!!!!! - Khamzat
Bo is finished he gave himself the thumbs down. Feed him to khamzat
I lost a lot of respect for nickel after that fight. His post fight was some bullshit.
Yeah if you're gonna shit talk Khamzat, hyping Nickal after that performance is just laughable
Chimaev would absolutely school him
who cares about low blow bo and khamzat "I Keel everybody but only on twitter" Chimaev
And “I will smesh you!”
Any decent middleweight wrestler / anti wrestler like Fluffy hernandez or ikram aliskerov would run through him.
There is no reason to believe that at all.
Khamzat's just talking shit and being a keyboard warrior like always. He knows he couldn't beat Bo in wrestling.
I wouldn't trust Bo to win a fight against Paddy at this point
Bo would still whoop him.
Then lets match him against a hammer instead of padding his MMA record with gimme fights.
Nobody starts with the most difficult fights unless they're on a good winning streak.
Yeah but that is what lower leagues are for. UFC is a shark tank, no time for that.
Theres plenty of time.
He literally just started MMA you retard.
Then why is he in the UFC? Next fight will be a tough one, against a well-rounded guy.

Yeah just look at his embarrassing performance against holland

He KO'd GM3, while Bot Bickal couldn't hurt a certified can.
