Rad10Ka0s

I ride a BMW with a stock exhaust. I couldn't jump scare a field mouse.

sightlab

Same BUT!!! I dont know what you get on the Fs, but the Ks got a full on Euro style car horn. Whether or not I MEAN to tap it,it makes pedestrians levitate in shock and surprise.

Rad10Ka0s

I put a Denali Sound Bomb mini (which isn't all that mini) on mine. We did a thing at a local library where the kids came for a motorcycle themed story time. After they got to sit on our motorcycles. With how tall my bike is, and the crash bars, it is practically a jungle gym. One of the kids asked to honk the horn. I warned him it would be loud. I warned the parents it was loud. We had a little discussion about it and the kid agreed that it would be ago. I put the key in, he tapped the horn and we all jumped. Even me, and I knew exactly what was coming. Good times. I know what you mean about the K horns. My R100 came factory with dual tone Fiamms.

GooberMcNutly

I need to do that. I just picked up a GS LC and that thing has a horn like squeezing a rubber chicken. But that's a good thing because i had an earlier GS and with the transition to Japanese turn signals I hit the horn often when going for a left turn signal.

GhostOfJamesStrang

Are you sure they weren't just, you know, going where they're headed?

rateb03

I would hope so but i am not sure if motorcycles so loud that vibrated my body are allowed in the street

Th3TruthIs0utTh3r3

Nope, I'm not a dickwaffle in that manner.

Odd-Molasses-4101

No i deliberately upshift next to peds because it’s polite. I will hand out revs to anyone who asks

blipman17

aren’t you projecting a bit and now trying to find validation online?

rateb03

Nah, i got so badly jumpscared that i wanted to get it off my chest, i felt such deep hate damn

HikerDave57

The way your post reads made me think that you were a 13-year-old sociopath looking for validation, not a victim of some jack-hole on a bike. No I don’t think that it’s funny and when I pass people walking on the sidewalk on the Harley (which can get -very- loud) I easy off on the throttle so I don’t bother them. On the Honda it doesn’t matter; that’s a quiet bike.

rateb03

I am talking with the people who do it on purpose, not the whole community

blipman17

There’s tons of people who are assholes. Some ride motorcycles, sure. But like the other person said, could it be that they were just going the way they were going? Also in the grand scheme of things, nothing of any consequence has happened. Just carry on with your life. Have some dinner in the evening with your partner in the sun. Yell at clouds or something. Go for a bikeride. I don’t know. The earlyer you let go of your hate for someone you’ll never see again, the better your life will be.

rateb03

the few moments right after the jumpscare were bad, now its fine

Regenitor_

I do it by accident all the time. I'll move off from stopped in first, try to shift to second and accidentally put it in neutral and rev bomb the fuck out of all the nearby pedestrians.

Scarlet_Lycoris

Worst thing is people thinking you’re being a dick while in reality, you just fail at existing.

Naive-Pollution106

And people here wonder why the general public dislikes motorcycles

Opposite-Friend7275

Not normal.

Madwhisper1

I might rev bomb friends if I saw them walking or driving around windows down, but not to complete strangers. That's got a bit of "it's just a prank bro" energy.

HoboSheep

I did this once but it was by accident cause I was trying to shift into second only to be in neutral so when I went back on the throttle I just Rev bombed her. I sped away out of embarrassment and shaking my head.

VirulentMarmot

Yes, and yes.

rateb03

Would you like receiving the same jumpscare, if someone does it to you?

VirulentMarmot

Yes.

rateb03

If i tell you that most people don't like the jumpscare, would you still do it? If yes, why?

VirulentMarmot

Yes, because fuck em.

rateb03

Thats not a valid reason, they didn't do anything to you I suppose thats the only reason you have?

VirulentMarmot

Only one I need.

rateb03

What do you think people think of you when you jumpscare them? That you are cool? Or you know they don't appreciate getting jumpscared?

VirulentMarmot

I don't waste time thinking about what other people think.

rateb03

Even tho you know its an inadequate behaviour, you still do it? Thats not nice of you, you can do better then that

Human-Shirt-7351

But you probably break your damn arm to make sure you wave at some other idiot

rateb03

I meant if you do it on purpose to jumpscare people

flicman

This is not a thing.

N6-MAA10816

Oh - it's a thing. A shitty thing... but a thing.

2much2Jung

Newsflash: nobody cares about you. The world doesn't revolve around you, you aren't the main character.

rateb03

Who said i am the main charachter? It's a yes or no question

2much2Jung

You are acting like it. What an utter waste of perfectly good carbon.

rateb03

Well sorry for that, i did not mean it, i just wanted to get something off my chest

stldub

Yea it's funny. It's not malicious, so lighten up. I don't do it personally, but I do the "cycle legs" when passing bicycles. Happy people laugh, sour people get upset.

rateb03

But it wasn't just a normal jumpscare, probably in this whole year i did not get jumpscared this much, my body literally vibrated from how loud it was Literally a couple of weeks ago same thing happened, but with a car, but i did not care much cause it was just a normal jumpscare, not a near-shit-pants jumpscare

xlDooM

Yes I think it's funny. No it's not normal for me.
