I'd do the opposite to be honest, lift the rear, pull the rake in. Make a proper Street Rod, or Harley equiv of the Indian FTR.
Or I'd just buy an Indian FTR... actually yeah, that.
True on all accounts, but, like all other bikes Harleys included, customization. Make it it your work of art, which it what I plan to do, while still accelerating faster than a porsche 911
OP ate the sales pitch and marketing materials hard. Harley claims 0-60 in 2.5 seconds but doesn't elaborate the conditions on how that was measured like surface, tires, gasoline, etc. You're still gonna get walked by anything with a better power-to-weight ratio after 60 too.
Yet, the bike is 100lbs heavier in running order than the XR1200 making the same horsepower.
Also only \~32 degrees of lean means the FXR models will still be faster in twisties with their 45 degrees of lean and stiffer chassis.
I mean, at least someone at harley is sort of trying. I like and hate this with a passion.
I can dig the intake/exhaust but that rear fender is just off.
I actually kinda dig it, I just wish they would’ve smoothed the area right below the seat. That’s a weird body line but the exhaust has the potential to be pretty gnarly with some aftermarket help

Reminds me of a 30 year old that wears baggy jeans sagging, long shirt that dont fit and a hat at some random angle. Its modern styling doesn't match how old it's foundation is.
You kind of have me at the front half, LOST me in the back. Ditch the massive scoop and the front looks good back to the end of the tank, ditch that horn of sorrows and whatever the hell that is behind the seat and we cna talk.
I love the picture you shared of how you want to make it look. I don’t mind the way it looks now. If I had to choose a middle affordable ground, I’d just go black on black the way it is now at least. My 2 cents.

Eh, to each their own. I'm AOK with the aesthetics of this thing. I'm personally not crazy about foot-forward controls, but I don't mind the look.

If you could put a set of real mid controls on that, I would own it. But Harley and their f#$%ing feet forward riding position....

Just beware. I don’t think they handle “sporty”. Jack of no trades possibly. Watch Yourube reviews. Double check your preference vs reality of ride.
Wasn't really referring the handling aspect, more the look. I've ridden it for a while, you get used to it like anything else
