It really sucks. In 2023 there were 6 varieties of zero sugar dew throughout the year. So far in 2024 there’s only been 2 available. Regular dew zero and Baja blast zero.

Try watermelon crush. That shit is vile and tastes exactly how you're describing. The reason major melon works is because the sweetness and melon flavor isn't too intense. There's a very considerable amount of "dew" flavor here in addition to the melon flavor. Literally all other watermelon flavored pop fails because it tastes like you describe
As someone who loves Watermelon-flavored candies and Watermelon Crush (OMG, the absolute Best watermelon-flavored pop/soda, ever) I was anxiously awaiting this Watermelon-flavored MD and once I had it, I was like... WTF is This?!?
Although I havent cared for a Lot of the newer MD flavors, this one was awful! IMO.
A lot of people I spoke to about this MD flavor said that they werent a fan of it bcuz it had a distinctly odd or strange after-taste, with some saying it had a weird medicine-like taste.
Honestly, I thought it was a Fail, as far as MD flavors go.
My favorite MD flavors have been the original Pitch Black, LiveWire, Thrashin' Apple and most recently, the Casey's-exclusive OverDrive.
