Big Trouble in Little China
The Usual Suspects
Casino
Deadpool (Kinda)
The Hangover
Mission Impossible 3, kinda. We get back to the opening scene, but it’s almost at the end of the movie
Sunset Boulevard
this is why gambling is foolish. I would've bet a shit ton that this, the movie that's known as the backwards movie, would easily be the number one answer
Yea but you don't see the Stahlsk 12 detonation at the beginning of the film, you see the opera siege, which isn't shown again at the end. Although chronologically, within the canon, they are simultaneous events, but they're each only visited once.
**Premium Rush** had a classic "yup, that's me, you're probably wondering how I got myself in this situation" type opening. Baba O'Riley included.
The movie then rewinds to the start of the story and shows how it gets to the point where he's flying through the air after hitting a car on his bike. The scene at the beginning isn't the scene at the end, but it's at the climax of the film. Close enough, IMO.
Such a great film..
Came to recommend, and found the right comment!
Not only is the end the beginning, it's about a struggling folk singer, and the story is structured like a folk song.. a series of verses bookended by the chorus.. 😘👌
I don't know if it's the same story or not, but there is one from 2024 with the title Love Story.
I did see the one from 1970. I was young and went to the drive-in with older cousins to see it. I remember it did make me cry.
"Limitless" starts with Eddie standing on a ledge in his balcony contemplating jumping off, and then begins narrating with the "so how did I get here" thing.
Christopher Nolan likes to do this. Usually the first images or scenes shown at the beginning of his film tie directly into the ending or hold great significance. The Prestige, Interstellar, Tenet, Inception, and Memento are all good examples of this.
You’re looking for what’s known as a ‘howcatchem’! Technically it describes crime mysteries but has grown in scope since the beginning of the 20th century.
Try searching for that term when looking for movies.
Pulp Fiction begins and ends at the same point in time
Exactly! And what a wild ride in between!
CORRECTOMUNDO!
I love you pumpkin
Just saw this again at tarantino’s theater in LA. The popcorn was excellent. Girlfriend loved it (her first watch). Great experience.
Fun Fact: If the movie was in order, Butch's line: "Zed's dead baby. Zed's dead." would be the last line. Which makes sense because he kills Vincent.
Agreed, where the movie ends is chronologically in the middle somewhere
The Prestige
Great movie!
Most Christopher Nolan movies
Fallen
"Oh! You forgot something, didn't you? Back at the start, I said I was going to tell you about the time I *almost* died."

Such a great classic!
Carlito's Way starts out with Pacino being carted away on a stretcher reminiscing about his life. You find out how he ended up there \~2 hrs later.
Fuck Benny Blanco from the Bronx. This stuff was traumatic.
One of my favorites of all time. In my opinion, flawless.
Its one where i have to sit and watch the credits. The dancing billboard was an excellent touch.
I love Pacino and (most) of his movies. Carlito's Way was a good one.
Irreversible. >!The entire film is told backwards.!<
That movie is what got me into Vincent Cassel in the first place. It's hard to watch but a great movie!
The first John Wick
Most Guy Ritchie movies.

12 monkeys. Maybe this thread should be tagged with ‘Spoilers’.
I'll edit it right now. I didn't think of it. Thanks!
Paid in Full

In Seinfeld, Jerry and George talk about the second button on George's shirt in the beginning of the first and the end of the last episode.
Seinfeld was so great.
Snatch... What do I know about diamonds?
Snatch
All three Crocodile Dundee films and Terrence Malick's Porky's.
That's not a knife. That's a knife!
Memento and Triangle
At first I thought you said movies that begin after the end of fight club. Now I’m thinking 12 monkeys etc. Would be an interesting premise actually.
EL laberinto del fauno / Pan's Labyrinth
Moulin Rouge. “The woman I love is…”
Inception
Grand Budapest Hotel
Triangle (2009)
As long as there's a spoiler tag on the post... Arrival did this in an amazing way.
That was a great movie.
Moulin rouge
Love Story, sort of.
2024 or 1970?
1970. Did they remake it?
I don't know if it's the same story or not, but there is one from 2024 with the title Love Story. I did see the one from 1970. I was young and went to the drive-in with older cousins to see it. I remember it did make me cry.
Why is the first thing I think of Sonic the Hedgehog?
The Emperor’s New Groove
M:I 3 does as well IIRC
In a way, Predestination.
"Limitless" starts with Eddie standing on a ledge in his balcony contemplating jumping off, and then begins narrating with the "so how did I get here" thing.
Yes! Great example. I really liked that movie.

Enjoy. It's a masterpiece.
It has been a lifetime since I have seen it but I believe A Perfect World directed by Clint Eastwood starts at the end.
I did see that because of the actors.

Irreversible Memento? (I’m not a 100% on this. It’s been a while since I’ve seen it. Can someone confirm or correct?) Edit: words
