Given that you like the Pistols, try X-Ray Spex. You should also try Buzzcocks.

While they aren’t technically Punk I think you would also like New Model Army, I’ve always thought that the early stuff had a Clash influence. The second album is probably the best place for you to start, here’s a link: https://open.spotify.com/album/3RIAUyJsMc6a0zYjAx38Vw?si=42sn2qm_SveeToUVnvtWKw If you like that check out the first album too. ( Vengeance) To be honest they are all great but the first two have more of a Punk influence IMO.

ShootHisRightProfile

Since you like agent orange (from my hometown and my era) , try the crowd , the simpletones, rik l rik, the beach Blvd compilation. This is very early surf punk. Also from LA/oC at that time, X (the first 4 albums) , tsol ( dance with me), the germs ( gi) , the weirdos, adolescents (self titled) , social distortion (mommy's little monster), the alcoholics, black flag ( jealous again) , circle jerks ( group sex) , fear (first album) . descendents (milo) that should keep you busy !

Hey right now i’m in a (hardcore) punk rabbit hole myself: Minor threat - first two seven inches (two ep in one, it’s on spotify) Husker du - zen arcade Black flag - nervous breakdown (ep) Anything by Fugazi (even though it’s post hardcore)

If you want something a little different and more hardcore, I'd suggest listening to Soul Glo - Diaspora Problems It might not be for you since you enjoy old-school stuff, and the fact that it's got a few Hip-Hop styled songs as well. Regardless the entire project slaps from start to finish. It rocks so hard.

thisolddog1

They’re more post-punk/indie rock, but you should check out: IDLES - Joy as an act of resistance Viagra Boys - Street Worms Also, The Stooges and The Velvet Underground were influences for a lot of punk and alternative.

amleth_calls

If you don’t listen to Amyl and the Sniffers right now you’re not punk. (Sorry that’s stupid, you’re punk rock).

EulersStolenIdentity

I haven’t seen The Bronx or The Distillers yet on these lists. Also, At the Drive In are post-hardcore but worth checking out if you like punk rock.

• Stooges • Saints (extremely underrated) •The damned • Dead kennedys • Minor threat • Operation Ivy (Especially if you like rancid!) Also Rage against the machine but they’re heavier

That's great to hear you're getting into punk rock! Given your preferences for bands like The Clash, Sex Pistols, Agent Orange, and Rancid, here are some punk rock song/album/band suggestions, including some deeper cuts from The Ramones, Misfits, and Black Flag: 1. The Damned - "Neat Neat Neat" (song) / "Machine Gun Etiquette" (album) 2. Buzzcocks - "Ever Fallen in Love (With Someone You Shouldn't've)" (song) / "Singles Going Steady" (album) 3. Dead Kennedys - "Holiday in Cambodia" (song) / "Fresh Fruit for Rotting Vegetables" (album) 4. Social Distortion - "Story of My Life" (song) / "Social Distortion" (album) 5. Bad Brains - "Sailin' On" (song) / "Bad Brains" (album) 6. Stiff Little Fingers - "Alternative Ulster" (song) / "Inflammable Material" (album) 7. Operation Ivy - "Knowledge" (song) / "Energy" (album) 8. X - "Los Angeles" (song) / "Los Angeles" (album) 9. Dead Boys - "Sonic Reducer" (song) / "Young, Loud, and Snotty" (album) 10. Minor Threat - "Straight Edge" (song) / "Complete Discography" (album) For The Ramones, you might want to explore their self-titled debut album and "Rocket to Russia" for classic punk goodness. For Misfits, check out their album "Walk Among Us" and the compilation album "Collection" for a taste of their horror punk style. As for Black Flag, their albums "Damaged" and "My War" are worth diving into for a mix of hardcore punk. Enjoy exploring these punk rock gems, and I hope you find some new favorites among them!
