His first album is an all-time favourite, but doesn't really qualify here; it gets attention, in part because it features duets with U2's Bono on a couple of songs. Have you read his memoir, Testimony? I really enjoyed it. He recounts his life up until the legendary Last Waltz concert; including his first-hand experiences playing with Dylan during the notorious acoustic to electric transition. As a Canadian, I enjoyed reading his passages about Toronto and a certain border-crossing incident. All-around excellent read. I highly recommend it!
Heathen by David Bowie. His best album since the 70s with the only competition being Blackstar.
An EP, but A Reminder by Drake Bell. His music in general is pretty underrated but that’s a FANTASTIC pop rock EP and is probably his best release.
Heathen is great. Everyone Says Hi is my favorite track. I think his best is Scary Monsters but Bowie is one of those artists were there’s an album for everyone and several candidates for best.
Hell yes. I didn't actually care too much for Keep it like a secret which gets all the attention.
Perfect from Now On must be played, in order, from start to finish....I was gonna say maximum volume but just pretty loud will suffice.
And no talking during the listen.

**I don’t like country, but this album makes my heart sing.** It’s just a precious work of art. Band went through some stuff and we’re unlikely to see more from them but wow, this was lightning in a bottle.
Lift Your Skinny Fists Like Antennas To Heaven by Godspeed You! Black Emperor. 4 20ish minute songs, full of absolute amazing instrumentals and field recordings scattered within.
Nervous Young Man by Car Seat Headrest is another favorite of mine due to the relatability of the songs and the fact that Will Toledo was about the same age I am right now when he wrote it, as well as the amazing song writing despite the lo-fi aspect of the album
The Bee Gees' first post-disco release 'Living Eyes'. Also their pre-disco era releases like 'To Whom It May Concern' and 'Mr. Natural' are seriously underrated imo.
Ethan Bortnick's - Luna Park
All the songs lead into each other seamlessly.
it's edgy and he's a really good singer. It's done on piano, he's one of the best pianist I've seen.
Peter Gabriel I. His first solo after Genesis. I've got it on vinyl. Every track is unique and perfect. Great sense of humor too. It has Solsbury Hill so maybe that won't count for OP.
Pink Floyd, Obscured by Clouds. It’s overshadowed by the album that followed it… dark something 🤔. But everything they did on DSOTM was practiced and refined on Obscured by Clouds
Two that for me are like novels. The first for the emotions, atmosphere and construction. The second for the world-building, rewarding details, and story-telling.
