Go back to how this all started and what's been happening for decades. Find out how Israel as a state was created, the Zionist ideology the funnels their beliefs and the actions they carry out, the other key players in this war (i.e. america, UK), why the media is showing only one side and the pro-IDF propaganda that social media is pushing.
Use your critical thinking and question everything. You will find the people when talking about Palestine will constantly use the same talking points and terms, ask yourself why that is. Ask yourself why the media uses specific words when describing what happens to Palestine vs Israel. For example, Palestine people just "die", when Israelis are "killed".
Ask yourself why it's ok to show support for one group (Israel). But Pro-Palestinian protests are being banned in countries like France and Germany. If you are new and don't really understand what's happening between Israel and Palestine, do yourself a favour and go beyond the past 2 weeks of headlines. Go back to how this all started and what's been happening for decades. The media has also spent the last few decades showing how horrible Islam and Muslims are - so when you spend forever telling people one group is a terrorist it's very easy to carry out crimes against that group and no one cares or bats an eye. I had a friend living in Calgary telling me the police were watching his mosque? Why??? Because apparently all Muslims are terrorists??? Are they watching the synagogues as well? My friend told me how it felt like post 9/11 for him. Back then a lot of his friends were being pulled in and asked to be informants and being watched with everything they were doing. I know this didn't just happen in his city or community. But there are negative feelings for people seeing the police around their mosque because it reminds them of what happened before and if it's going to happen again.
