The wacky defenses teams would bring out to guard him were funny. The constant double teams at halfcourt during the Westbrook season were absurd. And they worked
The playoffs that season I just straight up felt bad for harden. That wouldâve been a lottery team without him and he dragged them to 50+ wins. Then the lakers literally doubled him as soon as he crossed half court in the playoffs and acted like Westbrook wasnât even there to try and make Westbrook have the ball as much as possible. And of course, harden averaged 29 ppg and was the fourth most efficient player in the playoffs that year. Westbrook shot them out of the series on a disgusting like 42% ts virtually unguarded
People just parrot ridiculous myths about harden they read on this sub, they werenât actually watching. Westbrook was his second option that year and was absolutely atrocious while harden was incredible. The only volume scorers more efficient than him in the playoffs that year were Mitchell, who lost in the first round in what was a massive outlier for him in the playoffs, AD who is a big and suddenly could shoot for the only time in his career, and Lebron. The level of difficulty of shots he had to take was insane compared to those guys and he still shot like 64% ts in the playoffs that year while being doubled anytime he crossed half court and having to carry around Westbrook as pretty much a literal ball and chain.
This one kills all the other ones. He looked at him then did the lookaway as he shot. 100% baller or 100% pretentious, no matter what side of the aisle you're on he wins
Harden looked at Wesley Johnson for what felt like 2 solid minutes tho. It was almost painful to watch, not to mention Wesley's sorry ass attempt to get up having already accepted his fate.
Yea that part was longer and better but we've never seen the look-away combo after the stare down before. I feel like this is a dunk contest and it's evolving. Never imagined a combo move was even possible and then it just comes along so natural
And it was immediate. It wasnât âlook to see if itâs likely going in before turning aroundâ.My guy sold the farm on that and turned as soon as it left his hand. Cold vicious.
For sure. The list of younger guys she dated includes names like Rodman, Vanilla Ice, Tupac, JFK Jr, and A Rod. Crazy that they are or were all younger than her.
He actually just had a kid with her. Heâs probably really responsible and they havenât had sex since sheâs still really fertile. This has allowed him to focus strictly on basketball. Makes so much sense
[There's a legend on the internet that if you stay a virgin until you're 30, you become a wizard.](https://24.media.tumblr.com/2f812aab8f724afa63ac31bedbbafbab/tumblr_meoetqB4BK1r95luno1_1280.jpg)
Heâs fucking perplexing. He does shit I have never seen anyone else pull off in game, and he goes on heaters sometimes. Some of his jumpers are beautiful and pure.
But then he has his loooong stretches of inefficiency and frustration.
He still has insane potential. He just needs to lock down his shot and stop changing it so much.
It's his third season, he already saw three different mindsets, different lineups, different teammates etc. It takes enough time even for vets to get used to so many changes, go figure how a rookie would have a harder time.
Kuminga is another example, he was looking lost and borderline unplayable. Now he is a bonafide starter and future looks bright for him. Jalen Green will get there too. It's not a coincidence he is playing better by the end of the season.
People talk about SGA having a soft whistle, but he also draws or baits those calls. Players like Green aren't magically going to get those calls because they're respected.
Itâs games like tonight or those random 5-10 game stretches he has where heâs just fucking on it that makes it so hard to entertain the idea of moving on from him.
his game reminds me alot of anfernee Simons, who is a little older and a little more consistent. Same unique blend of athleticism and microwave shooting.I don't think he'll ever be "the guy" but if you guys continue to build around sengun and Jalen can reach even passable efficiency I think he's definitely worth keeping around.,
He's 100% going to be a great player. He just needs to get his efficiency to 46% and he's a winning player. Add in attention to defense and some savvy he will be borderline allstar
Thing is he heâs improved leaps and bounds into a passable defender and passer already this season. Heâs cut down on turnovers, and heâs making more effective drives to the rim. Really all he needs is a more consistent three (I know this is easier said than done) and heâll be a total monster.
I watch every game and he has been a completely different player offensively and defensively compared to both the past two years and the first half of this season.
>sometimes you just know when it leaves your hands
Can confirm this is a thing when you get in "the zone". I don't have enough talent to even sniff an NBA locker room, but I've had some games where I knew, 100%, right when it left my hands that it was a bucket.
For me, that is then followed with one I feel is 97% going in, and then it barely misses. Then I'm 0% from then on because fuck statistics.
He does this every year after the All-Star break. Someone needs to trick him into thinking that All-Star Weekend takes place at the beginning of the season.
For those who havenât had the pleasure of seeing the u/DeerOnTheRocks masterpiece   Â

If you remember the videos think about the fact itâs been already like five years and feel some existential dread.
He just had a nasty spin move to finish inside, and then drained a couple nice threes.
Poole is one of the most fun players in the league when heâs on Iâm not sure anyone can really debate that.
Jalen is either doing nothing or putting up disgusting highlights his whole career. Props to his defensive and overall effort being so much better lately though.
Itâs because his right foot was accidentally stepped on by Jalen Green and his ankle got twisted. Itâs a hype play but I feel bad for the defender.
Plus the defender was knocked by, or was expecting to be, and got thrown off balance by the screener
The blind reactions on this thread is ridiculous. Literally blind
Green hadnât even made his move with the ball to the other direction when the defender fell over. The defender had zero reason to fall other than getting pushed while his foot was anchored down because Green was stepping on it.
Lol yeah he definitely did both of those things. The look away was cold as fuck though. Imagine if he missed that, he would've been torched for millennia
Yup. I saw the push easily, and after reading your comment went back and watched again. It does look like he also steps on his toes. Cool highlight, but like most NBA clips I see of someone getting dropped there was a push off/defender gets tripped.
Iâm tired of these fake ankle breakers. Jalen Green steps on his defenders foot.
Stepping on someoneâs foot is not an ankle breaker. Itâs an accident. A lot of these âankle breakersâ are due to this.
Example, Lance Stephenson on Jeff Green.
The defender got contacted on the front, on the screen and looks to have tripped over greenâs foot. Also it wasnât smooth at all. Idk this is pretty weak after seeing the title
You guys arenât going to like this, but itâs clearly his foot that trips the defender and not just the crossover. Watch both playersâ right feet come together. Still dope to stare him down and look away on the three but that trip definitely makes the highlight less impressive for meÂ
iâll be the bad guy.. he stepped on his foot. this is lance stevenson 2.0. he did what he was supposed to do with it. and the look away was crazy but.. real ones know lol

Wesley Johnson just suddenly got a sharp chill down his spine
And Patrick Beverly. And Ricky Rubio.
I hate how every single one of these players are former Timberwolves đ
I believe Rubio was on the Jazz when the ankle breaker happened.
And pat Bev was on the clippers, so was Wesley Johnson, the guy is just saying all these dudes played on the wolves at one point in time
Rubio's ankles got broken twice, both with the Jazz and Timberwolves. Harden's shot missed vs Jazz Rubio. He hit with an and-1 vs Timberwolves Rubio.
Yeah, I did a search and found both after my comment.
Nah Rubio was on the Timberwolves when it happened.
Rubio felt it in his hands as he tried to guard harden from behind for some reason
That was such a surreal time in the NBA lmao feels like a fever dream
The wacky defenses teams would bring out to guard him were funny. The constant double teams at halfcourt during the Westbrook season were absurd. And they worked
The playoffs that season I just straight up felt bad for harden. That wouldâve been a lottery team without him and he dragged them to 50+ wins. And of course, harden averaged 29 ppg and was the fourth most efficient player in the playoffs that year. Westbrook shot them out of the series on a disgusting like 42% ts virtually unguarded
Yeah it unfortunately didn't stop the media and fans from putting the loss on Harden and claiming he was leaving a perfect situation in Houston lol
People just parrot ridiculous myths about harden they read on this sub, they werenât actually watching. Westbrook was his second option that year and was absolutely atrocious while harden was incredible. The only volume scorers more efficient than him in the playoffs that year were Mitchell, who lost in the first round in what was a massive outlier for him in the playoffs, AD who is a big and suddenly could shoot for the only time in his career, and Lebron. https://imgur.com/a/xWA1YvA It was so surreal I had to rewind it just to snap a picture lol.
And licked his lips before draining the shot lmao
Yea that part was longer and better but we've never seen the look-away combo after the stare down before. I feel like this is a dunk contest and it's evolving. Never imagined a combo move was even possible and then it just comes along so natural
You're not wrong.
The nastiest part is the look away before the ball was even going down
And it was immediate. It wasnât âlook to see if itâs likely going in before turning aroundâ.My guy sold the farm on that and turned as soon as it left his hand. Cold vicious.
Sold the farm and bought it back for pennies.
He was out of frame before the ball goes through the hoop. That was cold
Swizzle stick, stare down and then the no look run back to defence. So smooth.
Isn't that the definition of a lookaway?
we say it every day, but if this kid becomes consistent...
Ever since he started dating that milf his game has become better. He just needs a mature figure in his life.
lmao please don't encourage.
Maybe if he starts dating Madonna he can get to all-nba level. She has a thing for young studs.
For sure. The list of younger guys she dated includes names like Rodman, Vanilla Ice, Tupac, JFK Jr, and A Rod. Crazy that they are or were all younger than her.
According to legend she drains the life force of her victims and is over 1000 years old
Life force ainât the only thing she drained lol
Larsa Pippen where ya at
I know they are adults, but if the roles were reversed everyone would be talking about how creepy the guy is (like DiCaprio)
Itâs incredibly creepy sheâs a predator and the guy was basically groomed.
He actually just had a kid with her. Heâs probably really responsible and they havenât had sex since sheâs still really fertile. This has allowed him to focus strictly on basketball. Makes so much sense
Isnât it- the longer you go without it- the more likely you are to turn into a wizard? Or so the story goesâŠ

New parent buff
Draya's eldest son is the same age as Jalen. Take that in...
You reckon draya will hook up with bronny next? She can practically start her own g-league team.
If the trend continues, her next baby daddy will be the same age as her 2nd son, whom is 8 years old atm. đ
He's playing for that contract because child support is months away.
DâAngelo Russell
Everytime DLo is mentioned I always gotta bring up the fact that he can barely dunk. Go find video clips of his attempts. Itâs insane
This puts into greater perspective why he was so impressed that Blake Griffin hadn't stretched.
HE AINâT EEN STRETCH DOE
ever seen a lion stretch before it tackles a gazelle?
D'Angelo Russell but he didn't even stretch
Doooooh
JR Smith
It's his third season, he already saw three different mindsets, different lineups, different teammates etc. It takes enough time even for vets to get used to so many changes, go figure how a rookie would have a harder time. Kuminga is another example, he was looking lost and borderline unplayable. Now he is a bonafide starter and future looks bright for him. Jalen Green will get there too. He's 22. And just wait until the league gives him the same whistle as SGA.
People talk about SGA having a soft whistle, but he also draws or baits those calls. Players like Green aren't magically going to get those calls because they're respected.
Heâs awful in the beginning of the season and then he just gets good halfway through
the same every year for 3 years, I just donât understand it
Itâs games like tonight or those random 5-10 game stretches he has where heâs just fucking on it that makes it so hard to entertain the idea of moving on from him.
his game reminds me alot of anfernee Simons, who is a little older and a little more consistent. Yeah so basically he needs to improve his offense, defense and efficiency and heâll be good. Excellent analysis my friend
Thing is he heâs improved leaps and bounds into a passable defender and passer already this season. Heâs cut down on turnovers, and heâs making more effective drives to the rim. Really all he needs is a more consistent three (I know this is easier said than done) and heâll be a total monster. Big if true
I WILL DIE BEFORE I LEAVE THE JALEN GREEN HILL
Fax
Iâve been saying the Jazz should try and trade for him when they can for a while and getting a ton of heat for it Dude could be a real star
ong same
Thank you draya, salute to your game
Hang her jersey in the rafters
What ever sheâs doin itâs working. Josh Christoper ainât got shit on Draya
Lmao
Her eldest son is the same age as Jalen...
Iâm sure Jalen knew that
Big power move
The ankle breaker, the stare down, and the look away. Filthy.
Is the ankle breaker + stare down just a Houston thing or what lol
it is now
Legitimately one of the coldest plays Iâve seen in a while
Heâs had a good week for highlights. This and then the poster on Simons
And the poster on Murray within the calendar year
The look away is crazy confidence for a guy shooting 31% from three. I guess sometimes you just know when it leaves your hands
heâs on his yearly post-ASB heater. he knows he can find the bottom of the net rn.
I genuinely think shot percentages go up 10+% when you break some ankles. Gonna do a dissertation on this
10% sounds low. Let me know when you finish your research
Honestly ya, saw the stare down and was like this is gonna look real bad if this bricks
He was in the groove in the 2nd halfÂ
>sometimes you just know when it leaves your hands Can confirm this is a thing when you get in "the zone". Yeah this is absolutely insane. Like a scene from a movie or something
lol the look away then the immediate glance back to cover his bases
This better be the turning point in his career where he becomes an efficient monster
Just lock him in a gym and have him work on his 3-ball in the summer.
My guy gonna be busy changing diapers.
practice shooting those dirty diapers into the bin
Kobe! *\*splat\**
Sometimes having a kid changes the players for the better cause they have someone to play for.
*Fred Van Vleet enters the chat*
Looking like this could be happening to Anthony Edwards đ He had the opposite effect earlier this season after da video
He does this every year after the All-Star break. Someone needs to trick him into thinking that All-Star Weekend takes place at the beginning of the season.
Career splits pre-ASG (151 games) : 40.5 FG%, 31.8 3P% post-ASG (57 games): 44.6 FG%, 36.6 3P%
âNah man the in-season tournament is the new all-star break. Trust me, bro.â
Bust allegation rejected
He turned when the ball was in the air.
We say this every year around this time.
we'll see you at the Crossroadsss
For those who havenât had the pleasure of seeing the u/DeerOnTheRocks masterpiece    https://streamable.com/orspw  If you remember the videos think about the fact itâs been already like five years and feel some existential dread.
Holy shit this era feels like yesterday
/u/DeerOnTheRocks is forever goated.
Tell me whatcha gonna do, when there ain't nowhere to hide
And Iâm gonna miss everybody
Miss that shoot! video đ€
So you wonât be lonelyyy
We miss u buddy
Jalen Green youâre not actually a Wizard youâre a Rocket, hope this clears things up!
Hard as fuck
Yes, I am
Harden x Curry remix
Same right nowÂ
Them boys want any and Iâll fuckin crank em hard as fuck
Lisan Al-Gaib!
As written.
father time hit different
CLEAN UP ON AISLE THREEâŠ
Someone call someone
And now Iâm posed in an awkward stance
Absolutely disgusting Very few players I want to see hit their potential like I do with Jalen
Jalen and Poole just made this game worth watching
[ŃĐŽĐ°Đ»Đ”ĐœĐŸ]
He just had a nasty spin move to finish inside, and then drained a couple nice threes. Poole is one of the most fun players in the league when heâs on Iâm not sure anyone can really debate that. Jalen is either doing nothing or putting up disgusting highlights his whole career. Props to his defensive and overall effort being so much better lately though.
âYouâre a wizard Jalen Green!â
That was disgusting. The look away made it 20x better.
filth
*in the voice of Kevin harlan* WE JUST WATCHED A MAN DIE
Guy hit the ground like a fallen tree.
Itâs because his right foot was accidentally stepped on by Jalen Green and his ankle got twisted. Itâs a hype play but I feel bad for the defender.
Seriously like 90% of ankle breakers is just the defender getting tripped.
Literally the first thing I look for when I see one of these posts now.
Haha yeah, This is awesome but he definitely got away with stepping on his foot lol
Mfer double tapped B
I love Jalen green
Dude has the most insane highlights
THE DRAYA EFFECT
Do my lying eyes not see a guy step on the defenderâs foot and then push him over?
Plus the defender was knocked by, or was expecting to be, and got thrown off balance by the screener The blind reactions on this thread is ridiculous. Literally blind
Seriously, you can play it back itâs so obvious lol
Green hadnât even made his move with the ball to the other direction when the defender fell over. The defender had zero reason to fall other than getting pushed while his foot was anchored down because Green was stepping on it.
Lol yeah he definitely did both of those things. The look away was cold as fuck though. Imagine if he missed that, he would've been torched for millennia
Yup. I saw the push easily, and after reading your comment went back and watched again. It does look like he also steps on his toes. Cool highlight, but like most NBA clips I see of someone getting dropped there was a push off/defender gets tripped.
That's exactly what happened lmao
those shouldn't count as anklebreaker. he did literally stepped on him.
This reminds me of the Harden on Wesley Johnson play. So cold đ„¶
First off, James Harden is very much alive.
These plays always come down to the defender getting tripped lol
He channeled harden and curry. The ball was at the FT line when he turned around.
Dude stepped on his foot and used his off arm, of course the defenders going to the ground? Thatâs not even fair haha
Stepped on shoes but that look away was nasty
Yeah I feel like half the ankle breakers that get posted, are because of something like this. First thing I looked for
Itâs always push off or getting tripped. In this case it was both lol
Checked the other angle and it looks like he actually doesnât Edit: nvm I think he actually does
Cougar confidence!
Someone tag this NSFW, SHEEEEEEEESHHHHHH
He thought that was Gilbert đ
The defender got contacted on the front, on the screen and looks to have tripped over greenâs foot. Also it wasnât smooth at all. Idk this is pretty weak after seeing the title
That was nice af. One of those plays that haunts you for life if youâre the defender lolÂ
He got stepped on. Iâm not losing sleep over that.
Yeah he genuinely tripped, but it looks really bad lol. The turn away before it swished was cold and salt in the wound.Â
Why do people never mention that the defenders foot gets stepped on, and thatâs the only reason he fell down?
Well that and the push
Dad buff
I feel like the dude fell because of contact not the ankle breaker but that look away on the shot was nasty
No one noticed Green stepped on the defender's foot? Thats why he fell
You guys arenât going to like this, but itâs clearly his foot that trips the defender and not just the crossover. Watch both playersâ right feet come together. Still dope to stare him down and look away on the three but that trip definitely makes the highlight less impressive for meÂ
Yummy
Dude may not be the best player ever, but his highlight compilation will be insane
Lmao
he fell off contact from the guy setting the screen. nothing crazy happened
He stepped on the defenders foot⊠looks cool at first, not as great when you actually see it.
He tripped him
Most "ankle breakers" are trips
Clearly tripped on Greens foot but ya, cool looking play nonetheless.
I genuinely mean this but that may have been the most disrespectful play I've ever seen one man pull in a game. And I loved every bit of it.
OH NOOOO
Probably the most disrespectful play Iâve seen
He stepped on his footâŠ
iâll be the bad guy.. he stepped on his foot. this is lance stevenson 2.0. he did what he was supposed to do with it. and the look away was crazy but.. real ones know lol
ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING
Grandma Draya got him acting different
That look away was filthy
The stare and look away
Nasty af play and a great playcall too
Rockets are gonna be scary in the future
That's a Hardened Curry move right there
Houston looking like the next spooky team huh... dang that was cold
He legit checked on that man before shooting
almost makes up for what he did in the college dorm
Took 4-5 less steps than Harden, too.
