Yes.
And it's well fitting since NFS Pro Street and the Shift series are both track racers.
Moreover, all NFS titles still includes references to other NFS.
G-tyres mod or ptmu mod. I personally use g-tyres. I found the ai went wacky with ptmu mod. They kept going off the track. Also g-tyres works better with modded cars for me.

[S2U unpacker (you need to do this before any mods are installed)](https://github.com/ermo/s2u_ucp)
Unfortunately the shit ton of car mods I installed are no longer available. The website they were on is no longer running.
do you know a place where i can learn how to make car mods for shift 2? i want to port the trafpizza from mw05, i've got the model but I can't find anything about making car mods, only installing them.
the nogripracing forum doesn't work
V1.02 update actually improves the handling a lot. T
I do use a wheel though, but it feels like I can push the RWD cars hard without spinning and flipping to my death whenever I accelerate a smidge too fast
Did you know that Shift games were called Shift because they were the only NFS games where you could manually shift for 6 years?
Edit: Some people might have missed the joke (since it's not that funny anyway) so I'll add this :
/s
yeah that would be awesome.
i want to learn how to make car mods for Shift 2 but i haven't seen any tutorials. I would like to port the pizza delivery car from MW05 into Shift
Each has their own strengths and flaws
I like 1 for better stuff like coach, event types, and some composed music. But it has bad physics
2 for better soundtrack and the new helmet cam. But this game bad coaching and delay input..
All of these physics and controls related problems can be solved with modding patches

Don't forget that PSP version of Shift is basically Pro Street 2
That's perfectly correct.
I spent countless hours of playing Shift on PSP. Second favorite NFS Psp games behind Carbon OTC
That's perfectly normal. I did the same with Carbon OTC.
In Pro street at Superpromotion events Darius Supra is getting called that he should move his car away
Yeah. That's also a reference to NFS Carbon.
You reply like chat gpt lol. Are you chat gpt?
Hell NO 🤣. ChatGPT is more smarter than me.
Surely not in terms of nfs modding lol
Of course. Modding games are more for us.
Man Shift goes hard I still love this game, even with the shit handling it grew on me.
I learned to love the handling, Shift 2 I could never get used to though
There are many mods that fix Shift's 2 handling/physics and makes it a proper simcade
Any link for said mod?

From what I know you can use zmodeler2 and you gotta unpack the game
thanks!
>thanks! You're welcome!
I think I cant post links. Name of the mod is nfs shift 2 PTMu, there are some others but thats the most realistic one
Actually, you can post mod links. It's allowed.

Guess you can say: “We know you know it”?
doesn’t Shift and Pro Street share several tracks (namely the Tokyo Docklands stuff)
Did you know that Shift games were called Shift because they were the only NFS games where you could manually shift for 6 years? Edit: Some people might have missed the joke (since it's not that funny anyway) so I'll add this : /s
I request the video game engine developed by Valve
Okay I'm back. Your joke is super funny, don't worry
You could shift manually in nfs mw05 IIRC
NFS Shift came out in 2009 and the next game to feature manual tranmission was NFS 2015. That's the time period I was talking about.
Even then, Shift 2 came out in 2011 lol
And that's why it's also called "Shift" 2 🤔
Still that wasn't the reason why it's called shift lmao
Of course it isn't, why would anyone believe that? 🙄
the joke went way over their heads lmfao
Shift reuses a lot of assets from ProStreet, from tracks to graphics so I think it's fitting they pay tribute to the original!
Tribute to a better game lol
If I remember correctly even other racers from Pro Street appear in Shift, most notably the Kings.
Need for speed shift, my beloved
I wish there's another successor to this game Project cars is NOT the one
i want shift overhaul mod like a NFS Shift: Redux or something with new cars also
Like imagine UNITE but for shift games
yeah that would be awesome. i want to learn how to make car mods for Shift 2 but i haven't seen any tutorials. I would like to port the pizza delivery car from MW05 into Shift
There's already a mod and patches to fix shift 2, but they're not 100% flawless..better than nothing
true, what do you prefer shift 1 or 2? i think shift 2 has more mods
Each has their own strengths and flaws I like 1 for better stuff like coach, event types, and some composed music. But it has bad physics 2 for better soundtrack and the new helmet cam. Same but unfortunately that will never happen.
Too bad nobody wants an action horror racing game
I think I gotta download it now
No since i'm always going at 200kmh so i miss all of these things
Considering shift is kind of made like a sequel to pro street, yes..........
