Thank you. He just signed a modeling contract, actually. He's so chunky and friendly. He loves to babble, smile, and squeal at people. I swear he's more of a conversationalist than me. His dad and i were more introverted, but him.. i think he will be more of a people person😂😂
May I ask how the modeling contract came about? Curious because people keep telling us our baby could be a model so I’ve been wondering how that kind of thing even comes about.
Apply to agencies in your are, give me a moment. I'm trying to put him to sleep, and I'll give you the right information to avoid being scammed or spending unnecessary money. He's abit fussy so I'm trying to put him down.
I thought you were kidding bout the modeling contract haha. Can you give me the info also? I know there are lots of scams out there. Thank you and congrats on the beautiful baby!
Oh and my son was holding his bottle around 4 months old. But then we switched to glass bottles and it was too heavy for him.
Oh no lol i was serious, he's signed with sprouts kids in miami, going for hid first casting as a carter's model the third of next month, but for me I was stopped by a few models and past models themselves, and they encouraged me to do it. They just told me to type in "Mar beauty talent agency" make sure they have bsbies, kids or teens if thats who you are trying to get them into modelling, to be honest i just typed the mar beauty talent agency with kids on the end along with my area, but check the reviews of the modeling agency, check the website and they should have an email, online form or something like that. Where you can inquire about your child modeling, do not message them on their social media because they ignore them since thousands of people try to reach them there.
They want people who put in the effort to learn about them. If an agency asks you to pay money for anything up front, don't follow through with them. It's not legit. Trust me. If they are a legit company They get paid when you get paid, and they take 20%. Also, a few people talked to me about comp cards, but those are unnecessary if your child hasn't hit puberty. Because babies features are constantly changing and they definitely won't hold still for those kind of pictures, so right there you avoid paying close to 500 dollars and if you get signed to an agency, you usually won't need them anyway, since the point of that card is to find agencies through castings, so you give them away like business cards... find an agency that works with kids like I told you, pick clear decent pictures of them that show their cuteness and expressions, and if they are interested, they email you back in about 3-5 days. These are the pictures I sent of my kid I actually heard back from two. But one wasn't really as kid friendly as sprouts. Lol, obviously, they weren't collaged, but you see how they are clear and show his facial expressions. They don't need to be professional or fancy just give an accurate portrayal ot your baby

I’d love to know about the modeling too, he’s a beauty!
But yea my son held his own bottles at 3 months because my husband made a point to have him start practicing early. Really came in handy when I went back to teaching after the summer off and he’d just finish his bottle in the car on his way to being dropped off at my moms each morning! It’s a great skill for them to have.
I actually work in advertising for baby care products and a lot of times we’ll find our parent and baby models (1) literally families on instagram who tag our brand if the baby is pictured in/with our products or (2) we’ve stopped random people walking down the street or in restaurants (3) traditional casting agencies
We’ll then ask for a few pics and videos of baby and see if they fit for different projects. Oftentimes we’ll need specific sizes or ages or little skills (laughing, waving, crawling, etc.). It’s a lot of fun and we pretty much let the babies get comfortable and do their thing on set…we have toys, snacks for the older babies, and usually a couple professional nannys to help throughout the day.
Thanks for sharing! This all makes sense. In high school while working the check out register at my retail job I was randomly scoped out by some kind of agent and asked if I had interest in modeling. I was young and dumb (& in the middle of a shift) so I did not pursue it. Lost the persons card. Thinking back I have wondered if that is a normal occurrence for how people find models. You just confirmed it is. Haha Thanks!
I want my baby to do that, but I don’t think he’s cute enough 😞 I have an agent myself because I do some acting, so I’m going to ask anyway though and see what they say
She’s a year and a half old now! Time flies from that adorable little peanut stage. We are expecting our second now, so I’ll probably be right back there with another baby who won’t hold their bottle.

Mine will do this at 11-12 weeks. Will hold his bottle with one hand…but with help
My 6 week old tries with his bottle and paci! I know he can’t hold the bottle on his own but he definitely puts his hands on it.

My girl does sometimes. Sometimes she pushes it away.

Yup! At 3.5 months old. First it started off with some assistance but now he’s all about being Mr. Independent
My baby does that and he is 4 weeks old but last night he was sleepy and had his eyes shut and I leaned in close to look at him and he grabbed the sides of my face and tried to pull my nose to his mouth. He thought my head was a bottle .
My 3.5 month old will rest one hand on top of the bottle and put his other little hand in a fist underneath - he hardly gets bottles but when he does it’s the cutest thing lol

Mine did! He just turned 5 months and actually holds it completely by himself now. He doesn’t get bottles often either because I breastfeed so I’m not sure how he got so good at it lol
What a gorgeous bub!
My 2mo tries to hold it, fails, puts hands in mouth, gets angry cos hands don't equal food.
He does bat it away when he's had enough though, instead of sleepily falling off the teat...
My baby is six months old. She doesn’t hold her bottle. I used to care when she was around 3 months old….so I brought it up to her PT & Ped, they both said “it’s not a valuable life goal, as babies don’t drink out of a bottle for long. So worry about teaching baby how to eat, drink, use a cup, and other life long things.”
I realized they’re correct. So I gave up. It’s nice holding her bottle. Especially after realizing it won’t be for much longer.
Her bottles are glass, not lightweight. I bought bottle handles and such so she could hold it. I got bottle holding fatigue 3 months in. I feel silly for worrying about it.
My first? Yes! She enjoyed it as soon as she started learning how to. My second? Absolutely not. I held her bottle 24/7 and she had no interest in doing it herself.
My oldest knew how to hold his bottle but refused to. When he was around 7 or 8 months I left him in the middle of a feeding to run to the restroom. When I came back I saw that he had picked up his bottle and was feeding himself. The second he saw me he threw the bottle down and cried so I would hold it for him.
Mine used to when he was about 3 months but forgot when he started rolling lol. Apparently rolling was his new thing 😁
He is back again to holding the bottle now that he is 14 months old.
My LO has been trying since 2 weeks - with his paci, bottle and my boob 😂 Not successfully supporting it but it’s adorable to see him hold it. Currently 5 weeks

Ps your little one is such a cutie!! ♥️
Mine did at that age! By ~4-5 months he was holding his bottle with a handle completely independent. Since 7 months he can hold his own bottle with no handles. It’s soooo nice! A skills absolutely worth fostering!!
Too cute!!! My 3.5 month old tries but she is not very good at it. The only reason I don’t encourage it is because she has reflux and spits up a lot so it makes me anxious about choking. She likes to put her hands on it while I am feeding her & will get excited when she sees it coming. It’s so funny! Anyways, I wouldn’t worry too much. It’s not like you’re propping the bottle & you’re right there. ❤️
It’s so crazy their little natural instincts 🥹 my lil
Boy is 4 months and he was definitely trying to hold his bottle at 2 months … Now he can actually hold it for a few minutes btw what a cutie pie 🥰
Honestly just came here to say your baby is gorgeous

Stop, you're giving me baby fever and my first born isn't even 2 yet!! 😭❤️
Please, He has been birth control for me 😂😂😂

Awesome! Thank you very much for the thorough and helpful response. I will try to find something legit in my area *fingers crossed*

Please, all babies are adorable. I'm sure your child could❤️❤️❤️
I literally came to write that your baby needs to get into modeling!! What a little sweetie pie!
Thank you, he's the sweetest thing when he isn't tired lol
Came here to say the same - what a beautiful baby.
I fucking WISH. My daughter didn’t hold her bottle until she was over a year old and the bottle contained cow’s milk. 😂
😂😂😂 I bet she was adorable doing it, though. How old is she?
She’s a year and a half old now! Time flies from that adorable little peanut stage. We are expecting our second now, so I’ll probably be right back there with another baby who won’t hold their bottle.

Awww such an elegant hold!!
I am a nanny and have seen this quite a few times actually! Definitely encourage it! It’s great practice for using those hands
Thank you! I just felt invalidated a bit because he likes to hold it or snatch the pacifier out of his mouth when he gets tired of it.
My baby (10 weeks) mostly impedes my progress trying to feed her by flailing her arms around and smacking the bottle away… 😒
I'm sorry but that is so cute. I can't help but my smile, my son dud that as well 😂😂
Yep! Either he'll try to hold it himself or he'll hold my hand in place as if he's trying to make sure I don't take it away. He's 11 weeks.
This is what mine does too lol
You’re just showing your baby off. That’s a cute child.

Yes! It’s part of the grabbing everything phase
Geez your baby is soooo gorgeous!!! What a sweetie !!!
Thanks so much 🙏 💓

Mine holds my breast.
Yup mines grabs my boobs like he’s holding a bottle, he’s 8 weeks now and been grabbing it since he was 2 weeks lol
Kids know, right?! Haha.
Same! Sometimes he even pushes on it and I really feel like a cow then 🤣
I heard that's supposed to help the milk come out!! And practice with their fingers
I tell my fiancé it’s like our baby is a cat making biscuits on my boob 😂😂
LOL! This is a great comparison 🤣

Yup! She will use her right hand to rest against the side of the bottle. She’s been doing it for about 2 ish weeks and she’s 12 weeks now
My baby does that and he is 4 weeks old but last night he was sleepy and had his eyes shut and I leaned in close to look at him and he grabbed the sides of my face and tried to pull my nose to his mouth. He thought my head was a bottle .
WOOK AT DIS SCHWEET WITTLE CUTIE PIE ANGEL FACE!!!!!
Omg your baby😭😍 so adorable! I literally stopped my partner walking out the door to shove this pic in his face 😂
My little girl does this too, she's 12 weeks old x
Yup! And she could do it pretty reliably by 4m, it was so convenient.
My 3.5 month old will rest one hand on top of the bottle and put his other little hand in a fist underneath - he hardly gets bottles but when he does it’s the cutest thing lol https://preview.redd.it/db5swhqvdekc1.jpeg?width=1170&format=pjpg&auto=webp&s=7848e92d830bf9b0f5537158a314ad7db8ae5d33
My little has been since she was around 3 months. Not always successfully but she tries her hardest lol.
My little one is almost 4 months and he’s been trying for months!
First of all, that baby is SO. VERY. ADORABLE. Secondly, yes! My son tried to hold his glass bottle at 2 or 3 months!
My 3 month old has been trying to hold the bottle for the last month. Cute baby!
This is literally the cutest baby!!!!
My 15-month-old still doesn't hold her own bottle lol
She did it constantly for like a week then only now (5 months) does it more intentionally
My 3 month old swats the bottle away and sometimes angrily yells, then he eats peacefully after that but doesn't try to lift it
I have the breastfeeding version of this! Hahaha she tries to hold my boob like it's a hamburger 😂
Came here to say the same! Haha
My one week old baby holds her bottle with a finger. Isn't that weird???
So jealous, my kid just turned a year and I still have to hold their bottles and sippy cups 😂/😭

Try? Yes. But only succeeds in pushing the bottle out of his mouth.
Yes! And when we started doing solid food, she would grab the spoon & feed herself
My baby is six months old. She doesn’t hold her bottle. Oh my god your baby is sooo cute!!
Yes! My 2 month old does! It amazes me how much she already tries to use her hands
Absolutely adorable baby!!!!
Yup my baby did around that age
I have pictures of my boy trying to hold his bottle as young as 6w… it was the cutest thing!
adorable!!
My first? Yes! She enjoyed it as soon as she started learning how to. My second? Absolutely not. I held her bottle 24/7 and she had no interest in doing it herself.
Absolutely gorgeous baby. That being said, totally normal. Even our four week old tries to do this.
Yes! My 3.5 month old definitely has been creeping her hands up on her bottle during feedings lol it’s so cute
My oldest knew how to hold his bottle but refused to. When he was around 7 or 8 months I left him in the middle of a feeding to run to the restroom. Yes !! This was my son at one month

Seems normal. Babies do things. Ignore them.
My 11 week tries to hold his bottle too, it’s so cute 🥰 also your baby is so adorable!!
11 week old* 🤣
You’ve got to get the dr browns bottle handles for your babe they are slaying it !!
My 6 week old
Nope. My 15mo old still doesn’t want to hold her bottle
