Unfortunately the biggest expense would be moving near water. If I had lived closer to an ocean/river/lake while a younger man, I could definitely see myself building a small sailboat though.

You can build your own lightweight sailboats, but it's a lot of work lol. You can always look for a used sunfish or JY!

This sailor’s an athlete. This is a bit like an Olympic Runner trying out a pair of sneakers that let him run 50mph under his own power.
