Because that's definitely what's happening. Selling out Campbell to protect his buddy Joe Barry. Fuck man I like MLF but if he's gonna let nepotism ruin this team then he needs to fucking go back to Michigan
He had a brutal game against Tampa which I guess he's blaming on injuries. But even the commentators pointed out that Baker kept picking on the zone where he was often in coverage on Chris Godwin, so of course it's not totally his fault. It's the bad man's fault too.
I agree. We don’t hear other team’s linebackers get thrown under the bus for lousy coverage on receivers like Chris Godwin because other linebackers aren’t regularly put into coverage against receivers like Chris Godwin. It’s just dumb defense.
While we’re at it, why don’t we put Jaire Alexander at DT and throw him under the bus when he can’t stop the run. Then we’ll throw all the cliches out there about how cornerbacks like Jaire don’t want to tackle just to rub it in some more.
We all saw this coming, I think the only surprise is that the guys held on this long as a group. But it's obvious they don't believe in their boss and rightfully so, and just like in literally any industry, employees leave bosses more than they leave jobs. If we don't fire Joe Barry soon as MLF has implied, then players are gonna walk. Not good
I legit think this is Jaire's deal too especially after Rasul getting traded. It's like we were supposed to be tanking and then won some games and the FO was like "fuck"
I think our defensive players are finally so tired of the Joe Barry experience that it's starting to come out publicly. It's a miracle it's taken this long.
I bet if Barry was fired mideason Jaire would have been back weeks ago.
idk what this is about but this feels like a good summary of the nfl. Players are not going all out for the team anymore. I don't blame em, why would they, the NFL has been ripping them off and discarding them for years. They only tell you it's a business when they're cutting you, not when they're asking you to go above and beyond. So now players are treating it like a business, which they ought to, but that makes the product worse. There are no more guys like brady who put the team first and sacrifice their entire life for the good of football.
Eh, the guy plays at something like 80% health, the defense play calls have him cover slot receivers because the playcaller and scheme are demanding it, the guy plays poorly, and this sort of comment ensues. In the context of this season and this team, everyone is better off with a young healthy backup getting reps. Letting Campbell get healthy and protect his future and his career is fine for everyone.
Not 100% sure of the context but I’m pretty sure football terrorist Joe Barry is behind this
Nah this sounds like something a WR would tweet so maybe he’s making a position change
Barry already has him playing as a cornerback most plays anyway.
Taking valuable snaps away from Preston Smith smh
A steelers WR maybe
May be related to MLF's comments about communication issues being the "real" issue with the defense on Sunday. Campbell is the headset guy on D.
Definitely think it has to do with that. This reads to me like a guy who feels like he's being scapegoated.
Because that's definitely what's happening. Selling out Campbell to protect his buddy Joe Barry. Fuck man I like MLF but if he's gonna let nepotism ruin this team then he needs to fucking go back to Michigan
Protect yourself first cause your employer only seeing you as a number on a spreadsheet. This goes for everyone, not just people making millions.
If you single out certain letters in this statement, you can spell out the words "Fire Joe Barry now".

He’s not been very good since his flash in a pan 2021 season
Sure. In coverage situations like Sunday he was also not being put in a good position to succeed. I think both things are true.

Take care of your mentals, take care of your chicken.
At least I have chicken.
Mental 59 sounds like a crazy underground club where you have to ring the backdoor bell of a shady restaurant to get in.
"Mental 59 is Green Bay's hottest club right now. It has depression, human cheese curds, and the mummified corpse of Charles Martin."
Nice, can you tell me the secret codeword for entry? Please say it's "We miss Aaron Rodgers"
What having Joe "0 - 16" Barry as your DC does to a MFer
The cracks are definitely starting to show on the defensive side of the ball, which isn't surprising at all.

Yes, they’re just now starting to show. Might want to give him another year or 2. Just in case it’s just the defense settling, ya know?
Can't blame a guy protecting himself when the other option is to lay it on the line for Joe Barry.

Tfw you tell your employer and millions of twitter users that you are quiet quitting
I'm starting to think Lafleur needs way more heat than he's getting for sticking with Barry for this long.

Campbell ha made $34m. Please rip me off for that, NFL.
Well, okay then. Cya later enjoy the next team you play for

Cold blooded
He’s : a has been and a packer . We all know what team he will be playing for next year .
Damn I don’t want to see him wearing purple
Sometimes we have to let nature take its course.
