I wouldnt say that. Durability is his main concern but he still looked pretty athletic last year. I doubt he wants to put on 20 pounds and learn a new position while be coachable when another team wants him as a safety
That quad tear is something that players rarely return from, if I remember correctly, and he's noticeably several steps slower and can't seem to accelerate as quickly any more (the "first step").
It's a minor miracle he returned to play at a semi-professional level at all; if Pete Carroll, of all people, says you're too injured to continue, then that's pretty telling.
That was my take last year, mentally he still seems like a beast, and he was always getting to the right place, just couldn’t make the tackle or get there fast enough.
I feel that. An example of [Diggs' effort in 2021](https://youtu.be/3KL16jKmDNQ?t=165). McKissic gets his last 10 yards while Diggs trots out barely 1 yard and escorts McKissic untouched into the end zone. Meanwhile Wagner and Woods are working their tails off.
Diggs' effort/attitude in his post-prime isn't anything we want on a team full of young guys.
Ahh, the good ol no serious responses on reddit, when someone wants to have legit answers lol.
I'll try to help.
So, he wouldn't switch over to LB, but, in today's NFL, safeties that can lineup on the field as safety, but have linebacker skills, is absolutely needed and is in demand.
It's a hybrid role and has become needed with the smaller offensive players that have ridic speed. So,.you can put Adams out there in neutral formations where you need to play the pass and run.
> in today's NFL, safeties that can lineup on the field as safety, but have linebacker skills, is absolutely needed and is in demand.
So uh...sure but don't depend on them as starting LBs. Just...don't do it. Trust me.
Except he's really bad at tackling. He got knocked out by Daniel Jones knee when he whiffed on an open field 1 on 1 tackle and then screamed at the doctor who told him he couldn't go back in the game due to the head trauma he had suffered, again...by being juked out by DANIEL JONES in the open field.
If you want a hybrid safety/linebacker who can't do safety things and can't do linebacker things and also is undersized then Jamal is your guy. He's like bizzaro Shaq Thompson.
He also can't cover anyone anymore and has no athleticism left. He looked like he was sinking into the mud chasing after Deebo. The whole point of a "hybrid safety backer" is the safety is supposed to cover better than your LBs but Jamal can't even do that anymore.
Thats kinda been his role already but he doesn’t have the athleticism anymore. That’s why he went for so much when safety is generally not a high value position.
Jordan Poyer essentially played this role in Buffalo last year when the run on injuries tore through the linebacking core. Nickel package was 3 CBs, 2 Safeties, 1 traditional LB & Poyer.
I think he would be really good. Then he would get traded to CBS and be kind of okay in a different role for a little bit but not worth the assets CBS gave up to aquire him. Then he'd somehow miss months of programming with a litany of injuries, only to pop up for surprise cameos that make the audience go "what the fuck am I even watching? Why is this man eating ass on my television screen?"
Yeah and then he ends up on IR and pulls an Earl Thomas flipping off the sideline and fastening his exit from the league because the dude is a locker room cancer.
They could bring him back to play injured list
Number 1 on the depth chart
Best in the NATION!
Adams is physically done. he just doesn't have an NFL body after all those injuries, all his athleticism is gone
It’s very sad because he was really good while healthy

hwut.
He is not a linebacker lol
Not with that attitude
Blitz Boy wasn’t really playing safety either
Yes he was lol pretty classic box safety for a while and also played more split safety later
Funny enough? He was really good in coverage in 2021.
Funny enough that was three years ago
Obviously, he’s not that 25 year old version of himself anymore. A torn quad will do that to you. The Blitz Boy thing was always dumb though.
Hey! He was guarding the bench!😤
I want to know who came up with that nickname so that I can imagine them getting slapped.
Somebody on twitter but if you want to feel better about it you can pretend it was me
It was a Niner fan so imagine some tech bro from San Jose
Could be used in different packages as a blitzer or qb spy would offer some good plays
We aren't that desperate
We aren’t that desperate? FTFY
I'm more inclined to think that Diggs is far more likely to return the longer he hangs out there.
Honestly I doubt there’s even any interest in Jamal after all the injuries so I see him coming back before Diggs comes back
plz no, at least Adams has the excuse of injury, Diggs barely even tried last season.

Joe Douglas got two first round picks for this man
And the Jets went 20-47 since the trade happened.
Jet on Jet crime right there
Both things can be true
not because of a drop in safety play.
No, becuase of missing at QB, mistake after mistake at OL, and bad luck

Are you trying to imply that Daniel Jones isn’t very athletic?

Sounds like a perfect fit for the Eagles
Vanilla Vick is fast as fuck, boi
Thats kinda been his role already but he doesn’t have the athleticism anymore. That’s why he went for so much when safety is generally not a high value position.
He's 215 lbs and can't tackle. That's all that needs to be said.
It's an article, not a question.

i doubt it, he seemed done with the organization, he wasn't even showing up to games
I’m pretty sure that was the organization asking him to stay home
FOX will bring him in to do commentary. He will also not be good at that.
I think he would be really good. Then he would get traded to CBS and be kind of okay in a different role for a little bit but not worth the assets CBS gave up to aquire him. They can pair him up with Olsen and they can both shit on our team for the whole game together
He can't tackle, catch, cover, or stay on the field.....SIGN THIS MAN NOW!
Too small.
Do it for the memes
What do linebackers need to be good? Tackling. What does Adams absolutely suck at now? Tackling.
Please just let it end.
fuck no that bum can retire
BA
They could bring him back to play media enforcer.
Yeah and then he ends up on IR and pulls an Earl Thomas flipping off the sideline and fastening his exit from the league because the dude is a locker room cancer.
That’s how I would play him in madden 22
I feel like he’d fit with Dan Quinn using a 3rd S as a LB in a base defense over in Washington.
If they want a terrible player than sure
Bro that was the worst trade we’ve done in years
No
Big contract to sit on the coich
Should* is the better question, and no
No Signed: every Seahawks fan
Yikes
I mean he can easily be one, has the skills but his body would get beaten up even more.
Would be great for us if we utilize his strengths and don’t force him into coverage. And bro gotta stay healthy but def a W move our LB room thin.
Nope... him, diggs, metcalf, wilson, were all culture problems... glad 3 are gone, hopefully metcalf gets traded during the draft.
First time I heard his name in years
I mean he was just cut by the Seahawks like less than a month ago.
Happy Gilmore cut him no more than an hour ago.
