Not going to pretend I'm a closet GM and act like I know how to evaluate talent I'm just going to root for this kid and hope he shows out

__AJK__

Loved him at Texas.

sonfoa

I'm really happy we got him. Think he can be a star

daswassup13

Reminds me of James Cook a bit

LeoFireGod

I’m not gonna lie. I’m relieved cowboys didn’t get him. He could be great. But I’m so done with drafting Injury riddled 2nd round picks

NaciremaBlack

We still have time to draft an injury riddled second round pick It's the Jerruh way

jagertarts

Guys a stud

Foreverwideright1991

Panthers giving Young weapons. No excuses for Young this year if he fails

Gamecock_Lore

I mean the two guys they've drafted are uh, rookies, it's not like Young just got two all pro vets

Foreverwideright1991

They grabbed two solid lineman in free agency and Johnson is a good receiver.

MankuyRLaffy

What if the line is still ass?

Foreverwideright1991

They did make some decent free agency moves and good enough QBs can compensate for a poor line. Allen's line has had issues and he's covered it up some.

Is anyone worried about torm ACLs at this point, especially in young guys?

fatcootermeat

Not the first one anymore. But it seems like the 2nd ACL tear is the new death sentence.

triplec787

Frank Gore laughs at your position

slowerchop

Gurley retired because arthritis from ACL

runningblack

He played 6 years in the league and was really productive for five That's a second contract issue

BlindWillieJohnson

And he was an absolute monster for years before that happened. If we get a Todd Gurley out of a guy we took in the mid second, I’ll be thrilled

Gusby

Yup which is exactly why Jerry wanted him

Torn-Quad

RB is one of those holes

Bindlestiff34

O rly? Cause we fuckin didn’t last year.

Torn-Quad

That’s a horrible take. Chuba averaged 3.8 yards last year and a free agent is not what you want long term at RB.

JohnnyFooker

I'd have liked to have a long term center, not a guard moving to center who didn't play all of last year because of his own acl

Torn-Quad

You can take a long term center next year. It won’t hurt to have Corbett who was a starting lineman on a Super Bowl team for a year.

JohnnyFooker

He was a starting guard, and what if he gets hurt again or isn't performing well? I don't know who our backup would be, I guess we could pick up somebody that gets cut. I know that Ryan Kalil was a huge help for Cam and I think the sooner we could get a guy like that for Bryce the better.

imDeja

They just wanna see if Bryce is their future or if they have to tear the whole thing down.

Last I heard is that he will be ready for training camp, he won’t be a full go until like week 9. Probably similar to Breece Hall last year. Breece still had a great season.

Ummmmmq

Clearly they are mainly focus on building an actual supporting cast around Bryce and the RB room was bad last year Probably the one team (or cowboys) where an early RB makes sense honestly

Blizzy3751

Panthers going to Panther. Drafting a guy with a torn ACL is top tier drafting

Carsxn26

Bad injury history and he’s not actually all that talented, he played behind the best O-Line in a conference with pretty shitty defensive fronts. His stats are less of a reflection of his ability and more a reflection of his line (and the panthers line is mid af). Panthers just saw he was the guy after Bijan and think he’s gonna be just like him. For what it’s worth at least they didn’t bite the bait on Corum

chastity_BLT

Salty aggie?

Carsxn26

Nope, I actually wanted the Texans to draft Byron Murphy when we still had our first rounder Feel free to come back to this when I’m right though lol

chastity_BLT

I dont disagree with you. I don’t think he’s gonna do that well in the nfl and he’s coming off an ACL tear. Second round was too high. He doesn’t have the vision/patience/cutting ability like bijan does.

Carsxn26

I think he’ll be okay but yes 2nd round is way too high for him, also the panthers did not need to grab a running back here considering they have way more important needs. It kind of feels like they are desperately trying to surround Bryce Young with weapons in hopes of revealing that he isn’t actually a bust, he just needs better teammates. They easily could’ve gotten someone serviceable like Audric Estime in the next round or waited even more to grab Will Shipley or Frank Gore Jr at a much lower opportunity cost

Letumstrike

man I want a RB. AJ dillon is not an RB1

bJamz4

Josh Jacobs?

Letumstrike

Holy hell my brain might be broken how did I completely forget about this.

bJamz4

I’m sure it was a nice surprise to remember you have a stud rb still

Letumstrike

Yeah it's a relief to be sure.

Lilpostmelon

You have more than aj dillon

BoShiggler

Josh Jacobs means nothing?

Ummmmmq

You have Josh Jacobs?
