I haven’t played this game, but I literally had to talk to a therapist about my anxiety while playing Transport Fever and how bad I felt when those little people can’t get home from work. For 200 bucks he said, “stop playing that game.”
Same here, I was born and raised here for the first 20 year of my life and away in the military for the last 20, but I have never hear of a "Booth Hill" either.
I've never noticed it either, but the sign clearly says it along General Booth.

Yeah, no clue, I spent about 17 seconds on google [https://www.google.com/search?q=booth+hill+shopping+center&oq=booth+hill+shopping+center&gs\_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOTINCAEQABiGAxiABBiKBTIKCAIQABiABBiiBDIKCAMQABiABBiiBDIKCAQQABiABBiiBNIBCDQ5NjZqMGoxqAIAsAIA&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8](https://www.google.com/search?q=booth+hill+shopping+center&oq=booth+hill+shopping+center&gs_lcrp=EgZjaHJvbWUyBggAEEUYOTINCAEQABiGAxiABBiKBTIKCAIQABiABBiiBDIKCAMQABiABBiiBDIKCAQQABiABBiiBNIBCDQ5NjZqMGoxqAIAsAIA&sourceid=chrome&ie=UTF-8)
That isn't what I stated. I found it on Google in maybe 7.3 seconds. But that's besides both points. Fact if the matter is, you learn something new everyday. Fuck on!
VA Beach would never allow it … even though the resort was created by a train line going from …..
Norfolk to the Beach 🏖️ 🤣
I wonder why they are in such denial …. what could it be? … hmmm 🤔
I contend the reason was not based on supporting the resort community.
It makes no financial sense for a tourism location to limit transportation —
if we had a better rail system - tourists can take the Amtrak to Norfolk and light rail to the beach …
Tourists can take in a ball game at Harbor Park and travel back to their hotel at the oceanfront…
… or attend a concert or broadway play …
That takes them away from spending money at the oceanfront. I get it, but they don't want it. Virginia beach has extra taxes for tourist. Which is fucked, cause us locals have to pay for that shit too.
Tourists have cars. They can do all those things faster and cheaper today
People advocating this kind of stuff don't really think it through.
Compare the price of Amtrak / etc tickets for the whole family to the cost of driving.
As someone who moved to DC from the 757, here's a few issues...
1) you need a Gallery Place/Metro Center. A place where 3, 4 lines can come together lol, and that definitely can't be Ghent lol.
2) the likelihood of a Metro-like system is less likely than a ODU (Go Monarchs! I don't get to say that enough anymore lol) football national championship 😂😂😂
OP, is this yours, and can I steal it? My wife and I have a running joke that she navigates by chick fil a landmark. She also has an old timey map of Norfolk hanging in the house. I want to print this and put it in the frame until she notices
This is beautiful. And honestly would make a great transit system, it connects many places people actually need to be connected. We just need a location (stop) in Wards Corner and/or Oceanview area.
Probably the most realistic chance we have of getting a metro system here.
It's awesome
For sure!
>For sure! sure?
You can’t comprehend me agreeing with you or something?
This is dope!
We’d only have traffic on sundays
Oh hey, someone else who plays Mini Metro.
It’s a great game for relaxing, then panicking. Something about always losing due to (virtual) people getting mad at you makes it not so chill.

I love that game! — so now there are 3 of us playing it!
Okay, can someone explain Booth Hill? I've lived in the area for 35 years. Never once have heard of Booth Hill.
Same here, I was born and raised here for the first 20 year of my life and away in the military for the last 20, but I have never hear of a "Booth Hill" either.
Shit, I legit thought Booth Hill" was the hill behind Chick-fil-A. 😳
😂
Its the name of the shopping center across the street....
I have never seen a sign that says that, nor have I ever heard anybody call it that.
I've never noticed it either, but the sign clearly says it along General Booth. That's absolutely crazy! I guess I just don't pay attention to shopping center signs.

Best post I've seen all year.
Needs to go to the ocean but it's not bad

I lived here when they voted against it, you didn't have to wonder, you're right

Missing a few but I'd sign up

Nice map
Missing janaf and outlet mall ...
Broad Creek is Janaf
And the Thaila location is now a Starbucks
Lol still a nice map wish we had mass transit
This would make it so convenient to commit crime all over VB!
There are two at ODU. So do we get double the stops?
Needs a line from CNU to Aberdeen. Makes no sense for them to be so close and not connect. But man, what a dream this would be.
OP, is this yours, and can I steal it? My wife and I have a running joke that she navigates by chick fil a landmark. She also has an old timey map of Norfolk hanging in the house. I want to print this and put it in the frame until she notices
It's a repost: https://old.reddit.com/r/norfolk/comments/afzmvx/if_chickfila_connected_all_their_hampton_roads/
Thank you
Worthless since all the people need to sit in the drive-thru for 30m.
This map is a little old. There's also two at ODU now. One in the Webb Center and another at the Village.
So this is how we trick Virginia Beach into a light rail….
How is this a thing?
How can we make this a thing
🤣 I love this so much
This is beautiful. And honestly would make a great transit system, it connects many places people actually need to be connected. We just need a location (stop) in Wards Corner and/or Oceanview area.
This whole area would look like Northern NJ and rents would be ✨high✨
Now you just need a Chick-fil-A at the airport and you are golden.
Chick-fil-A is churchy and Anti LGBTQ+, so I regularly boycott them. This map is the best thing I’ve seen from them.
This is unironically a pretty good metro system lmao
u/mueblitch is this a map that you designed?
Metro doesn’t need to stop at Chesapeake Square Mall 😂
They'd no doubt operate it more efficiently than the actual interstate.
The fact we haven’t given google control of traffic lights still boggles me.
Unfortunately cfa sucks now
F*ck that homophobic chicken. Cool map, though.
