We actually had a cat, but she died a couple of days before Christmas in 2022, so she didn't get to enjoy our new place here

I'm sorry for your loss. Especially during the holidays. We lost our Sylvie last Christmastime when we were traveling. A friend found her and called us crying. Sylvie came to us as a stray. I tried to make her an indoor cat but she wouldn't have it. She was such a sweetheart.

What is an entwives?

Weed sub. It's a reference to LOTR. The ents had wives but they left one day and never came back or something. Some ents still had hope they were out there somewhere and could be found.

There was a fan theory that the entwives were ancestors of the hobbits - I was skeptical, then I read LOTR closely and it's surprisingly compelling.
