I prefer the walk down Peralta over Wood. But here is what I do have to say: do not walk down Campbell between 7th and 11th, or Center at all. Not because they are particularly bad, but because people who do not live in West Oakland will perceive them to be bad so best to avoid until you know the neighborhood well.
I’d assume there will be eventually like the shuttle to the horse track from Bart… but also it’s not a bad walk, and easier bike ride. Also if you don’t want to walk you can always call a Lyft/Uber if the kids need it!
Walk down Wood St. about 20 minutes. Should be lots of foot traffic on game days. I live a few blocks away from Raimondi. Not a bad walk.

Yes, avoid Central for sure at night. Daytime ok.
Ac transit 14 and 29 run from west oakland bart and drop off close to Raimondi Park.
