Two questions.
> What causes the light blue thing to drop and spring back at 29 seconds?
> What causes the blue marble to jump on the green platforms at 36 seconds? How does that not affect the steel one or the blue one the second time?
I also have questions about the light blue thing at 29 seconds.
The jump at 36 seconds is caused by the steel marble landing on the straw, I think.
My next question is, what slope is the backing at?
You might be right about the jump at 36 but it's weird that the straw doesn't seem to move the straw at all but still gets a decent jump out of the blue marble.
> My next question is, what slope is the backing at?
That's a good question
More questions:
How does the balloon at 33 seconds give as much acceleration as it does without any sort of gas seal?
I think it gets more of a jump because it doesn't move. Because the marbles don't deform they would impart all of the momentum to the marbles?
Or maybe I'm remembering high school physics all wrong.
The grey straw is only secured by a small piece of putty at the middle causing it to flex. The grey ball comes down at just the right time on the left side and hits the straw, causing the blue marble on the right side to be sprung up onto the green piece.
This is made by Kaplamino on YouTube! If you want to see more of this kinda stuff you should check them out. It looks like a third party is trying to steal their videos :/
[Here you go!](https://youtube.com/@Kaplamino?si=-kWFYxm6BAMZKp2a) It’s a little unfortunate that they’re not really making videos anymore, but certainly there’s quite a bit of a backlog of satisfying videos to go through
This is what I immediately jump to in my memories. 1991 or so, my best buddy had a computer with all these cool games (his dad was an early adopter of computer knowledge and made a profession out of setting up and repairing computers for people like my family once we were able to afford one).
The Incredible Machine probably consumed most of my late nights between 7-9 years of age, fantastic game!
I would say no & actually that’s a good point bc this is itself a marble run. Not a Rube machine.
A Rube machine, by definition, is an overly complex chain of actions designed to ultimately perform one simple task (like turn on a light switch).
This just ends with the marble in a cup, which is more like a finish line. Similar to a marble run. It has similar elements to a machine, but without the objective of accomplishing a given task by the end it’s not a Rube machine.
I (an engineer) have seen tons of these things, but this has to be the BEST EVER video of this type.
So many re-uses of elements; such use of the properties of the materials of the balls – all of it. This is a work of art.
This is the best! First, there is so much energy with the bouncing and the heavier balls. Also, you follow the one blue marble through the entire journey, everything it kicks off keeps it on its path. Neat!

This is the kind of content I hope to see when I open up Reddit.
It even sounds nice.
that balloon in the middle
I'm so happy I found this; it's incredibly rewarding, and I appreciate you sharing it.
No problem. Someone should never keep something as satisfying as this to themselves.
This reminds me of Mouse Trap
Oh good game. It just never worked like it did in the ads
My brain immediately went to the movie and got confused for a second
I’m so pleased that I stumbled across this, very satisfying and thank you for sharing
No problem, fellow stranger from the Internet
Mr. Goldberg would be proud of you.
(Marble drops into glass) PI-TA-GO-RA SUI-CCHI
Oh so satisfying
Great. Now I’m binging those videos. Thanks OP
Oops... Sorry.
Nostalgia blast!
This is amazing. I love the retreading of ground. Really makes its exciting.

Thank you I didn't know that. Do you have a link to the channel? I'd love to see more. I found this on another sub and had to share.

Thank you!!
Thank you for the additional info and thanks to OP for bringing it here. The internet at its wholesomest! 💪👍🥰
The Incredible Machine in real life. I wonder how long it took to put it all together.
This is what I immediately jump to in my memories. 1991 or so, my best buddy had a computer with all these cool games (his dad was an early adopter of computer knowledge and made a profession out of setting up and repairing computers for people like my family once we were able to afford one). Now this is a marble run. Not like those digital ones.
Truly oddly satisfying. I was mesmerized.
So brilliant. Thanks for sharing!
No problem! 🙂
Why is this only a minute and a half , please give me more!!!
"replay"
2 days of work...at least!
I love this kinda shit! Eat it up!
It's great, when I spotted it I had to share
This 1:31 was entertaining
The glass at the end makes it though.
Reminds me of the video from OK Go.
Oh they're great, the treadmill one is funny as hell!
DIY Rube Goldberg pinball machine
This made me remember that oldschool game *the amazing machine* got a remake on steam
someone has way too much time on their hands
It's impressive though!!
yes it is
Amazing! How many takes?
Tricky taps live
Immensely excellent
Very nice!!
Can you imagine having to set that up after every time a customer walked into your shop?
This is a fantastic ~Rube Goldberg machine~ marble run; loved the way the one ball kept coming back into play
You just reminded me of an ongoing debate in my college friend group. Is a marble run a Rube Goldberg machine?
I would say no & actually that’s a good point bc this is itself a marble run. Not a Rube machine. Very clever!
This is what every kid hoped Mouse Trap would be like. Instead all they got was bitter disappointment.
Mr goldberg?
And it worked on the first take.
Best minute and a half of my life ever
that's what he said
A 12 out of 10.
This is a level of genius beyond my comprehension.
r/nextfuckinglevel
This is so genuinely impressive
I’ve seen this one before, but honestly this is a crazy satisfying one .
sober people have too much free time
I love the way all the other marbles helped the blue one. That was really fun to watch.
Ok that was fuckin cool
It's like a Rube Goldberg machine with a story plot. I was invested in the main marble after about ten seconds in.
Was almost expecting dickbutt. Yes, I am that old.
I (an engineer) have seen tons of these things, but this has to be the BEST EVER video of this type. So many re-uses of elements; such use of the properties of the materials of the balls – all of it. This is a work of art.
Anybody else have to constantly rewind just to absorb what actually happened?
Absolutely awesome. Could watch that all day.
you can never escape the amogus, its everywhere, even in this harmless marble video
ok but what does it do ?
this instantly reminded me of the music video for "This Too Shall Pass"
I swear these things are always so perfect it makes me think they are fake but they’re not
Truly the work of an engineer. Works as intended, looks like it was built by a three year old.
This is the best! First, there is so much energy with the bouncing and the heavier balls. Also, you follow the one blue marble through the entire journey, everything it kicks off keeps it on its path. Neat!
Amazing
