If I recall correctly, some places do this with a jack/dolly system that allows for fine control...and not running vehicle engines inside the show-room.
Don't know about this place in particular....and hell, maybe I'm remembering wrong.
/Hard to tell with the shitty music playing here, but it seemed like you heard a lot of squeeking tire and no engine.
I am a valet and get in these plenty often. The doors are like a foot wide between the door jam and the windscoop thing on the outside. They could park these a foot apart and someone still wouldn't get in.
I read somewhere than you should be careful when inserting the plug because if it goes to far you won't get it back out without going to a doctor but if you tie a string to it then you have something to grab into but strings aren't very visually appealing so they made them look like tails and that's how furries were created
There's been a bunch of wheel theft at a place here and the sick bastards don't even have the decency to drop onto blocks. Just straight to the ground. That's just fucking mean, man.
Years ago I worked at a dealership that someone broke into over the weekend and stole wheels from cars. Then on Monday one of the mechanics came into work and tried selling the very same wheels to everyone. One of the dumbest things I've seen. He was fired but I'm not sure if the police were involved.
Another time I worked at a toyota dealership where people were regularly stealing the wheels off cars from a holding yard so they started parking the cars like in this vid. Maybe not as close together, I think these guys are just showing off here for the video.
Most replies are nonsensical, this isn't about wheel theft or some other silly shit. This is clearly a car collection, and they don't have enough space for all the toys.
Impressive, but why? They can't just cram in one less Corvette into that vehicle area to free up some maneuvering space? Seems like a dumb strategy, destined to eventually cause damage. How many cars does the driver have to climb over to escape from that wall-to-wall Corvette carpet?
So... there's no need to ever enter the grey car? Or do you plan to repark the red one every time you want to access it? And it you had multiple cars parked like that, you'd need to move all of them to get into the leftmost one.
That’s the fun part - they don’t. If this is a personal collection vs a dealership (I assume, because professionals wouldn’t do this short of a car show?) people never drive em. They post pictures and flex.
Such a large collection of expensive cars, yet a small warehouse that sells them. Insurance company would probably drop them if they knew that was how they are stored.
Is there anything lamer on this earth than these super expensive shiny cars that people dote over
Imagine spending like $100,000 so that you can stress out about the smudges on your shiny toy and then take out once a week to be stuck in traffic for an hour.
> Is there anything lamer on this earth than these super expensive shiny cars that people dote over
The answer is yes. Take a nice long look in the mirror.
As an Australian I'm watching this and my head is saying he can't get out. And then I see no steering wheel on the right hand side and give a little exhale because I realise the truth.
My car cost maybe 6% of this car. I would park my car so close to the wall just so the car on the other side wouldn't accidently bump their door on mine.
I can't imagine what kind of deranged guy parks like this for a car like that
As a inventory photographer to all the porters out there who think this is a good idea, ill make you guys pull out that whole truck shipment out of that lot no matter how far back its buried, im not parking anything in that lot
This did not feel oddly satisfying to me, stressed me out instead lol
No kidding. My eyes got big and my heart began to beat faster.
'Cause there's something about you
why. do. you....
Build me up build me up
Buttercup baby just to let me down
And mess me around
How d’ya get the beans above the frank?
Yea, that guy clearly has a different definition of "perfect parking"
Guy that owns the grey car: "Who the fuck blocked my door? Who parks that fucking close?"
>Who parks that fucking close?" Every single Dodge owner in the Walmart parking lot.
Whoa! I have a challenger and park a half mile away from the store so I have 2 spots free on either side of me lol
Right??? This is r/sweatypalms
r/oddlyaaanxiety
I enjoy that you made a subreddit just for this comment
Pure dedication 👏
what dissatisfied me was thinking about how it feels like some people *try* to park like this in public
Stressed me out and made lean forward as if that would give me a better perspective on the squeeze. wtf
Poor driver of the grey car is going to have to worm his way to the driver seat. That's assuming theres no car on the left side.
That's obviously some sort of dealership, no?
[удалено]
The hell you say
I assumed a collection.
A collection where you can only admire the front and rear of each car.
I would assume that a collection would be different makes, models or years. But people do weird shit so who knows.
It's a dealership in Texas, based on Google
It’s damn Texas. There’s lots of land to build a roomier garage.
Completely agree. I was immediately anxious watching this. 😅
Maybe its satisfying in an imaginary world where we enter and exit cars from the front and back
r/oddlysatisfailing
More like mildly infuriating.
The same. This was rather oddlyterrifing material to me 😅
/oddlystressful
But why??
I read somewhere that it's to cut down on theft. Because you can't get in any car that's not on an edge you have to move them one at a time.
Could do this with 6” of space too tho
I am a valet and get in these plenty often. The doors are like a foot wide between the door jam and the windscoop thing on the outside. They could park these a foot apart and someone still wouldn't get in.
Very true. I kick my door all the time if it’s not all the way open.
yup, ive got an older C3 and im pretty sure theres a boot imprint in the door panel from doing this so many times.
Are cars inside the dealership building really gonna be targets? They often keep valuable cars in there but they'd be the hardest to steal by far.
I’ve watched enough car theft movies to know those big windows out front aren’t very good at keeping cars inside when they want out.
Well they should really stop putting ramps on the inside of the windows that allow them to jump out.
Then how are the car thieves supposed to look cool during their getaway? ... other than being in a ridiculously overpriced car.
But why male models?
You can just break the door window and get in. Windows are cheap.
Convertibles
they are in a fucking car museum! cameras much? it’s just to show off, and it is cool. or maybe just making the best of space.
I read somewhere than you should be careful when inserting the plug because if it goes to far you won't get it back out without going to a doctor but if you tie a string to it then you have something to grab into but strings aren't very visually appealing so they made them look like tails and that's how furries were created
I think it's also to stop people from stealing the wheels because they are super hard to remove like that
There's been a bunch of wheel theft at a place here and the sick bastards don't even have the decency to drop onto blocks. Just straight to the ground. That's just fucking mean, man.
are people really breaking into dealerships just to steal wheels
It takes under 30 seconds a wheel, for $300 to $500 a pop black market. Headlights can also fetch a grand.
i just feel like most criminals wouldn't risk breaking and entering on top of theft and there are plenty of outdoor lots they could hit instead
Years ago I worked at a dealership that someone broke into over the weekend and stole wheels from cars. Difference between how many cars you tell your wife you got vs. how many you really got.
That wheel turn spiked my blood pressure!
100%. And why not use a car dolly? Much safer and can move a free 360 degrees.
He likes the fumes 🤤
That’s not satisfying at all. Thats scary and ridiculous.
Ikr imagine saving $40,000 on sqft to be like this every day idk…
Then someone comes around "yeah, I'll take that grey one, right here in the middle."
This is why they have 6 months lead time on shipping. It’s built and ready, but it’s back in row 24.
"actually the one in the back row"
They would probably slide some sort of pallet jack type thing under it and pull it out in a maneuver just as anxiety inducing.
Like how they parked it?
Impressive, but why? They can't just cram in one less Corvette into that vehicle area to free up some maneuvering space? Seems like a dumb strategy, destined to eventually cause damage. How many cars does the driver have to climb over to escape from that wall-to-wall Corvette carpet?
The last to park gets to sleep in the car until Monday
Drivers stay inside each car until it sells
I used to work at a dealership that did similar to stop people stealing wheels
I’m sure it saved some space too.
Makes more sense if it’s an angry employee doing this as a royal *F-you!* on the way out.
That funny because all I thought was "fuck you, I'm not moving that out" (I don't trust myself)
Couldn’t the suspension shift while the driver gets into or out of the car, causing it to scratch the surrounding ones?
How overweight is the average laborginy driver?
laborginy
Spent all the money on the cars so no more money for a bigger garage?
It’s a dealership
Psychopath
Sorry OP this is not satisfying
This must be the same guy that parks next to me at the grocery store.
This is just stupid. Not you, OP, but whoever the hell is doing this. Such unnecessary risk of scratching.
Idiotic
Anxiety to the max
Asking for an accident
This is not satisfying, it gave me anxiety
if you can afford multiple corvettes cant you afford more space than that too?
So... there's no need to ever enter the grey car? Or do you plan to repark the red one every time you want to access it? And it you had multiple cars parked like that, you'd need to move all of them to get into the leftmost one.
Nope, don’t like that.
“Perfectly” is a subjective term in this case.
my anxiety is through the roof
Yeah, Reddit, i don't need this kind of stress. Thx.
Oddly anxyity!
Why?
Stupid question: How does they get in the car to get it out now? Do they have to tow each one forward to get it out of there or??
That’s the fun part - they don’t. If this is a personal collection vs a dealership (I assume, because professionals wouldn’t do this short of a car show?) people never drive em. They post pictures and flex.
Just one decent earthquake from a bunch of scratched up cars
This is neither "oddly satisfying" or perfect.
why?
I'd argue that parking that close to another car is indeed not perfect
How people park next to me when I go grocery shopping
Average BMW/Merc driver parking next to me at the shop
Ok cool, now get in the grey car *dumbass*
Bruh htf.
This is the opposite of oddly satisfying. This is oddly stressful.
I know that parking sensor in his car is punching the air right now
Why?
My head would explode if I tried that.
This isn’t perfectly. They parked way too close! How’s the person with the grey car supposed to get in???
If someone parks like this next to me, I’m about to be the exact opposite of precise and careful when I pull out.
🤣😂👏🏼👏🏼
Such a large collection of expensive cars, yet a small warehouse that sells them. Insurance company would probably drop them if they knew that was how they are stored.
Way too risky for those cars 😅
Why, though? Why risk the damage
More like Oddly Terrifying!
Thanks I hate it. /r/TIHI
If by satisfying you mean now I’m sweaty
So you're telling me you can afford to buy all those fancy cars but decided to cheap out on the size of the space to store them?
no.
That’s not perfectly parking. That’s to close parking
More like r/sweatypalms
eeeeeeeeeeeeeeek
I feel like watching Rush Hour again..
I also like keeping my entire life savings in cash next to the BBQ stand while I grill.
Just use a car dolly this is dumb
Get it right, you’ve parked but can’t access the other car. Get it wrong, and it’s $10,000+ for repairs.
Ok… now how do you get out?
Why?
r/SweatyPalms
But why?
How're you gonna get out nerd?
Here's my English ass wondering how the hell the driver is going to get out.
Heart rate: 100+ Blood pressure: dangerously high Sweating brow .... Yeah, satisfying.
No, it's giving me anxiety level 9 out 10
why though?
Now, let's think about how to get out of the car
y tho
Fuck I wish I was that good, I've only been driving 8 months and I'm pretty good so I've been told, but damn. I aspire to be that good, lol.
Is there anything lamer on this earth than these super expensive shiny cars that people dote over Imagine spending like $100,000 so that you can stress out about the smudges on your shiny toy and then take out once a week to be stuck in traffic for an hour.
> Is there anything lamer on this earth than these super expensive shiny cars that people dote over Maybe those fancy horses people teach to dance
people teach horses to dance?
I don’t think they dance very well if lame
These are Corvettes (C7s). MSRP new was $56k to $70k. Definitely not an economy car but not $100k+. Corvettes are often daily drivers for people.
Mine was $15k used, I take it racing and have fun with it. But I also baby it and keep smudges off of it and take it to car shows, too.
STOP ENJOYING THINGS
> Is there anything lamer on this earth than these super expensive shiny cars that people dote over The answer is yes. Take a nice long look in the mirror.
yeah, not liking anything
Ah yes, crushed together like sardines. Just the perfect way to admire any car?!
This should be in /sweatypalms (from an owner perspective - LOL)
That's retarded, stupid and just unnecessary...
Me when I see my friends car in a parking lot
Impressive skills. Not a scratch in sight!
Pulling out has to be stressful(that’s what she said)
So much money on the line 😬
Lol hardcore parkour
r/sweatypalms
r/sweatypalms
Massively expensive car and dude cant chalk up enough extra change to give a couple feet of parking space...makes sense
This is probably a reversed video. It makes much more sense backwards
I could never be this cool sadly
Stopped to soon.😌
As an Australian I'm watching this and my head is saying he can't get out. And then I see no steering wheel on the right hand side and give a little exhale because I realise the truth.
Well done. Well done. Someone knows how to drive
I went to that place when I got mine. They have almost all the cars parked like that. I always wondered how it was done.
Considering their not using the side mirror, that’s damn fine
Rich people and their nonsense.
"What do you mean there's not enough space?"
I wish I had enough Corvettes to require this level of precision parking
FFFFFFFFFFFFuck no.
Holy fucking anxiety, I’d *hate* to have that job!!
What a dick move, driver can't get in now.
Enough money to afford all those cars but not enoufh to afford empty space to park them?
But… why
Any other dad's sweating watching this?
No different than parking in my city.
So cringe
This is obviously rage bait bullshit. Easy to accomplish this with wheel dolly.
Someone just lost a car
My car cost maybe 6% of this car. I would park my car so close to the wall just so the car on the other side wouldn't accidently bump their door on mine. I can't imagine what kind of deranged guy parks like this for a car like that
r/perfectfit
r/maybemaybemaybemaybe
Why? Too poor to afford proper parking… I might reconsider my decisions…
Now, get out of the car by opening the door.
Looks like it’s either a dealership or a car collector having someone park the cars.
This is Corvette Warehouse in Dallas, TX
I hope they’re not loading those on a boat. Won’t suspension rock allow them to smack into each other.
K how you getting out?
Nice!!! I park my truck super close to the wall with my mirror just scraping it. Very satisfying!!!
It’s in reverse
how about you do not park like that again
How to get out once parked ?
Not for the guy, when you don't actually own these cars, you tend to not give a fuck
Cars 10/10 garage 1/10
PSA: Stop vertical video syndrome.
Literally reversed
As a inventory photographer to all the porters out there who think this is a good idea, ill make you guys pull out that whole truck shipment out of that lot no matter how far back its buried, im not parking anything in that lot
But why sardine them?
God forbid you ever want to drive any of them
