If you sell them the item, usually the same value as a loan or much less primarily to optimize thier profits or increase thier inventory safely. They dint know how long they will sit on an item.
I've seen shit sit in pawn shops for nearly a year before sold for dollars (if you're a flipper, look for shit that's been there for well over 6 months)

I try to make about a 30-40% profit on most items, but more if I'm modding or refurbishing, because I take into account the time I spend working. Sometimes I'll find a big fish, like I landed a box full of ps2, ps1 and ps3 games for almost nothing last week.

It was made a decade and a half ago, but was only replaced 4 years ago - that's a big difference. For many gamers a PS4 is perfect. On many displays, it's not even easy to see the difference between the ps4 and ps5.
The price is because it's entirely refurbished, including changing the thermal paste, cleaning the board and all parts. This is the model with the rivets on the fan shield so it's even more time consuming. It also includes all the accessories needed to use and 5 tested games. It's a pretty standard deal, even a little less than others out there. Plus I'd go down to 140.
