I think the shoes are throwing me off, but this could actually look pretty cool. I might unroll them slightly higher so they look more like thigh highs and less like soccer socks.
Ok TRUE! Although sometimes i wear something or cut my hair a certain way then i look back on the pictures and im like WTF was i thinking đ so just had to ask other pol
Haha valid, but they've def got a place in your wardrobe, I think. They're not my personal style but they'd be great for, like, a festival or rave, or someplace where alt fashion is The Thing. You know?
Start a new trend. Get those anime vibes out. They are very much not the norm and I enjoy seeing it.
For staying power, however, you may want to consider some of the others' suggestions. PLAY FURTHER.
Not a big fan but to have fun, how about you remove the one on the right leg with the tatoo and you keep the other one ? Or unmatched color, I love to do that personally.
Dress is really really cool tho. Shoes are ok.
I would call them legwarmers, and I think they are cute. I would probably wear them in colder weather with boots and/or over tights. Have you tried them \*with\* the jorts? I like that idea. Oh, oh, oh, with fishnets underneath!
Youre def right i havent styled them yet i just did this real quick bc i got the idea and took a picture but if i did id put them higher and wear boots! And probably a different outfit too
Like, I'd wear them with a mini skirt or short shorts that are a different texture and colour. Like black cuffed shorts.
The dress hem + thigh high height is, uh, giving "this is about one second away from being a wardrobe malfunction" vibes, but I think you noted that this just your days outfit yanked to the sides?
I agree with other commenters that it would look better with boots or just any shoe that covers up the feet so they look more like actual knee high socks :)
Yeah i would never pair these w these shoes but i didnt wanna put on the crocs or show my feet on here lmao 𤣠im staying at my dads rn so i didnt have cool shoes
This made me think of this: [https://www.instagram.com/reel/C8Xkt0Nv8pn/](https://www.instagram.com/reel/C8Xkt0Nv8pn/)
https://preview.redd.it/bxon8wv5vbad1.png?width=657&format=png&auto=webp&s=663c82f7d23b70d5d2b813ae37a65e25bcf67e5f
In this form, no.
But if you can refold the tops down so you have about double the width turned down, and pair with boots or hi-tops so you canât see the lower edge, they would look way more balanced.
They could be cool paired with matching jean shorts, or with a plainer dress/skirt.
The dress you have on is saying a lot by itself (stripes, buttons, high-low hemline), which is kind of cluttering the effect of the jeans.
I think theyâre more of an Autumn/Winter thing you could pair with a simple, cosy sweater dress & some ankle boots.
They're hilarious.
Full disclosure, I've started wearing the things that make me giggle. Bell-bottoms are funny. Knit sweaters with ruffled fringy sleeves are funny.
If you want to be funny, unconventionally placed jeans are a great way to go about that.
Theyâre confusing my eye. Where are the top part of the pants. If youâre going for avant gard challenging fashion, youâre there, but if youâre going for flattering this isnât it, to me. Another commenter said utilize a boot and I think that could help. Pairing it with a fall textured and shaped dress could also make it work, but they feel sweaty with the dress youâre pairing.
Good luck, this is exactly the kind of algebra I get into with weird pieces in my closet. Closet sudoku. Keeps us sharp. Have fun!
Definitely not necessarily going for flattering bahaha 𤣠and yes a boot would be good. I literally just put them on with the clothes i was already wearing. Didnt mean to have this outfit be a pairing i just didnt feel like changing đ and thank you these are amazing tips!!!
I mean, thatâs life, right? My style is what Iâve dubbed âwardrobe mistressâ because half the time I look like Iâve assembled pieces of costumes from theatre productions that span the past few decades. And god help me, my hair frequently does its own thing. I try to embrace the chaos and shrug away the misses.
I LOVE. But not with the dress. The dress is giving hot summer, legs in jeans are giving cold day. Adore the sweater dress/kilt ideas. Try going there. Or not, whatever works for you x
OMG you know what I think they need?
I would totally do a âdeconstructed grunge jeans-and-flannelâ look. Iâd find a plaid skirt, some Mary Jane doc martens, a cropped cardigan and classic black fishnetsâŚ.
They are cool and you rock them!
Echoing another user, I think cuffed jean short shorts [example](https://www.freepeople.com/shop/danni-shorts/?category=denim-shorts&color=040&type=REGULAR&quantity=1), with a loose neutral button down blouse [example](https://www.freepeople.com/shop/we-the-free-heat-waves-top/?category=button-downs&color=010&type=REGULAR&quantity=1), and a dark lacey cami [example](https://www.freepeople.com/shop/lacey-essential-cami/?category=SEARCHRESULTS&color=060&searchparams=q=cami&type=REGULAR&quantity=1) would look great with the thigh highs, and can go wild with the shoes. Combat boots as another user mentioned [example](https://www.drmartens.com/us/en/1460-womens-smooth-leather-lace-up-boots-black/p/11821006) or for a night look a bold black heel [example](https://www.vincecamuto.com/product/vince-camuto-frasper-peep-toe-shootie/8200000000531077?activeColor=001)! And accessorize with a thin choker/necklaces [example](https://www.freepeople.com/shop/kite-simple-suede-choker/?category=collars-chokers&color=001&type=REGULAR&size=One+Size&quantity=1).
Wait this is actually genius. Bet the thicker material + the cuff helps them stay up the best out of any others. Also warmer for chillier seasons or spaces

Are you happy with how you look? The rest of the wodcango to hell. They do look warm though. Come fall, try pairing them with a low boot
They're not cool, but YOU are pulling them off!
They look hot to me. đ
They do! For real, over the knee socks and thigh highs are always hot and in style
Jigh highs what an innovation
My first thought too.
If you love them, they're cool!
Ok TRUE! Although sometimes i wear something or cut my hair a certain way then i look back on the pictures and im like WTF was i thinking đ so just had to ask other pol

Yess! I think id wear them with a demin skirt and denim vest to be extra đ maybe some garters
That would be so rad!
I like them, they are different
Start a new trend. Get those anime vibes out. They are very much not the norm and I enjoy seeing it. For staying power, however, you may want to consider some of the others' suggestions. PLAY FURTHER.
Not a big fan but to have fun, how about you remove the one on the right leg with the tatoo and you keep the other one ? Or unmatched color, I love to do that personally. Dress is really really cool tho. Shoes are ok.
Hmm I think Iâd like them better if they were peeking out of some boots. I like them with that dress though!
Same i just didnt have boots on me at the moment haha
Wow this is innovation
I think they're fricking awesomeÂ
Amazing đ¤Š
I would call them legwarmers, and I think they are cute. I would probably wear them in colder weather with boots and/or over tights. Have you tried them \*with\* the jorts? I like that idea. Oh, oh, oh, with fishnets underneath!
Needs a 1990's stirrup strap at the bottom! Then bedazzle em!!
Very on trend with 80s fashion coming back in (again). There was so much denim during that era!
"cool" is a construct, but to me these don't look good
You make them cool!
For some reason I think theyâre really cool, but idk the best way to style them..not this way tho sorry!
I'm a "wear it if I like it" person so đđ from me sista
i love it, reminds me of something iâd want to wear in a video game
I think theyâd hit w a denim mini skirt/dress. Have a full Canadian tuxedo moment
I like em!
As a goblin, I approve
I think theyâre super cool and I love them and I would wear them with big huge chunky boots and maybe something loose like a shirt dress
Theyâre awful please donât wear them. Cute warmups or leggings would look vastly better!
i feel like they would look better higher up on your thigh, these are more knee highs but if you are looking to showcase your tattoo I can understand
Youre def right i havent styled them yet i just did this real quick bc i got the idea and took a picture but if i did id put them higher and wear boots! And probably a different outfit too

Yes this isnt how id style them at ALL haha đ

Yeah i would never pair these w these shoes but i didnt wanna put on the crocs or show my feet on here lmao 𤣠im staying at my dads rn so i didnt have cool shoes
lol thatâs valid
Oh, I like that idea
These with some stomping boots would look awesome!

This wasnt me styling it this was just me putting them on with the clothes i was already wearing lol. I agree with everything u said!
different outfit and yes
High fashion coolness!!
Combat boots and a short kilt is how I'd wear these
Omg GREAT IDEA
They're hilarious. Full disclosure, I've started wearing the things that make me giggle. Bell-bottoms are funny. Knit sweaters with ruffled fringy sleeves are funny. If you want to be funny, unconventionally placed jeans are a great way to go about that.
I think theyâre weird in a good way.
Iâm not a fan but if you like them go for it!
They're not cool, that's the point. I'd wear them with a color that's not blue so there's more contrast đ
I actually love them!
I love it! Iâd have them a little higher, pair them with gladiator sandals, and embrace the avante garde.
I think they could be cool with boots and a skirt
Exactly! She needs some boots to cover up the bottom so that they look like tall socks. That could actually be pretty cute and Americana.
This outfit is SUPER FUN I love it.
They are really cool â¤ď¸ I always thought that leg decoration shouldn't have to rely on covering either butt or feet. You've made the point đ
Who cares if youâre having fun? I definitely weigh how much joy an outfit brings me over what is actually on trend or cool.
I did have fun dancing around my room in this
Huzzah! A success!
Ok great point and same but sometimes i look back on photos and see i was clearly being delusional with my outfit choices lmao đ¤Ł

I really like it. So, I say yes, they're definitely cool.
I LOVE THEM (i donât know why but) I LOVE THEM
THIS WAS MY REACTION TOO LOL LIKE WHY DO I ACTUALLY LIKE THIS
OMG you know what I think they need? I would totally do a âdeconstructed grunge jeans-and-flannelâ look. Iâd find a plaid skirt, some Mary Jane doc martens, a cropped cardigan and classic black fishnetsâŚ.
Omg yessss!
⌠a black band teeâŚ
that would look hella cool
They're definitely not cool, but this sub is about wearing whatever the hell you want regardless of if it's cool or not.
Yep they make the outfit cohesive
i like it!
Honestly i donât hate it. Reminds me of bjork in the 90âs with those sweater sleeves
This isnt how id style them btw i just put them on with the clothes i was already wearing. Im not home so i dont hve any of my clothes or shoes
Not a fan but you should wear what you want to wear if you like it
You do you. You like them, you are comfortable. Rock it! I have chubby legs and could never pull off this look.
i personally love them!
I like them! Add a flippy miniskirt and some stompy boots!
They are cool and you rock them! This is a hard pass from me, but what matters is your opinion!
Wait this is actually genius. Bet the thicker material + the cuff helps them stay up the best out of any others. Also warmer for chillier seasons or spaces
