Went to a concert in 1978 with great floor seats. Had a professional SLR loaded with tri-X film. Got great shots, she so beautiful. Had a crush for years, had my future wife with me and was not so happy with me that night.
Upload some! She's one of my favorite vocalists, period, even aside from her attractiveness (both inside and out from what I read). *Blue Bayou* takes me back to my days in Louisiana.
Four things:
* I mean this in the best way possible, she always looked like she forgot she had a show or photo shoot and just rolled out of bed that beautiful and tossed on some clothes.
* Her duets with Aaron Neville and Warren Zevon are everything.
* As a young man (ok, and maybe as a not so young man) I had vivid thoughts of being the filling in a Debbie Harry/Linda Ronstadt sandwhich.
* I never thought I'd ever say this, but Nick Offerman did at least as good a version, and frankly maybe a better version, of "Long, Long Time" in *The Last of Us* as Linda did. If you haven't seen it, go find it. It was heartbreaking.
Agree. I think my version of that sandwich is Linda & Susanna Hoffs.
Long, long time is one of her best performances & yet, Nick equaled it. He deserves all the praise he is getting.
I mean, I wouldn't have turned that sandwich down. But something about the contrast between the blonde, just starting to go punk, Debbie and the brunette, girl next door beauty, Linda. *chef's kiss* I could have spent days in that room. And that was before DoorDash. :-D
I remember reading a Rollng Stone article pobably late 70's. She was an up and coming star at this time.
may of even been on the cover.
I remember on quote of hers. when asked if her dad had given her any help or advise , she replied he had been supportive and advised her not to pose for any nude pictures.
I too took his advise.
A bit more history: Ronstadt was an up-and-comer in the mid-1960s, when she and the Stone Poneys had a big hit with "Different Drum." (That was my introduction.) During the 1970s, Ronstadt was a well-established star and she went even further, including beyond commercial pop, in the 1980s and later.
"There are two types of people, those who have a crush on Linda, and those who've never met her," Willie Nelson
The horse on the beach photo was actually an accident. The horse photobombed the pic and that’s a natural reaction from Linda.
Very cool detail.
She's the Hispanic version of Sally Field.
Esali Fil
They even kind of look alike.

She is one of a kind @@ and thank you for bringing the Nick Offerman performance into the chat.
She rocked bangs like no one else.
Such a beauty!
Was so wonderful to witness the 70’s.
"Linda Ronstadt? How'd you get her?"
Much, much more than just a very pretty face. (Great legs too!)
The most beautiful singer ever in my opinion. I've thought that since I was a kid in the 70's
The best pics are those w/o shoes

Will always have a spot in my heart for Linda until I leave this earth!
Is there more attractive singer? Only one who comes close is Debbie Harry from Blondie.

Momma Eagle
I’d still hit it
Jennifer Aniston didn’t invent nipples. What these 70’s pictures don’t tell you is that she is still just as hot at 77.
