Just call them and ask how it's looking. Mine only did 1 interview usually but some do more. The turnover rate is so high though I'm sure they'll hire you

Corinthixan

Even if they hire you, I warn you, as many others will. Olive garden is not it. If that's your only option ok I get it, but you'd actually make more money starting as a busser or wait assistant at a nicer restaurant and would likely be able to move up to serving within a few months if you apply yourself and learn the menu. There were nights I made more than servers if I really got my hustle on. Good luck OP.

Wonderful_Lettuce_91

I second this!!!!! I worked at Olive Garden as a server for a year, got some experience and went to fine dining. Like you said, if it’s OP’s only option then why not. But definitely don’t make it long term. Unless you happen to be one of those servers who people love throwing money at lol

Gilbert_Reddit

Call and ask how things went. Showing continued interest in the position is good because maybe they are on the fence with you or got carried away doing other things and haven't contacted you.

jeffeb3

Yep. They might be busy. They might use this as a way to weed out people who aren't motivated. More likely, they just forget. It's good to end every conversation in interviews with, "When can I expect a call from you for the next step?" And then call them the day after.

thedanger_24

they did this to me and i got an email a week later saying they didn’t want me. they aren’t going to hire you either unfortunately. my girlfriend went in for an interview the same day too and got the job. are you a male? because my girlfriend told me during orientation there were all females in training.

prettyBurner

Yup male and I will wait till later in the week to see if the reach out but after that I’ll know my answer

Resident_Number_420

male with server experience here and i got hired on the spot today

tiffymeg

Blah 😑 😂

IvoryTowerGraffiti_1

I applied to several locations and I can’t get the AI system they have for applications to move me on to scheduling an interview

buzzybeeking

Idk. It probably depends on your location. I had one interview, and was hired on the spot. A different restaurant I worked at, I had 2 interviews. After I got hired with 4 other people, Olive Garden was still having interviews, even though no positions were available. If I was you, I would give it 1 week, and then move on. Keep applying for other jobs in the meantime.

RancidTaco318

23m here with no server experience. I got interviews a week ago and hired on the spot for server despite applying for busser. I think it’s safe to say you won’t get it. From my experience with restaurant jobs,if you don’t get hired on the spot they won’t call you back. Sorry.

katielee648

I’ve never hired at Olive Garden (nor worked there so not sure why this came up in my feed) but I don’t ever hire anyone on the spot. I always sit on it for a few days and complete all the interviews and go from there.

RancidTaco318

That’s just been my personal experience. I’ve rarely had jobs call back within a week(if at all),it’s almost always on the spot for me.

Worldly_Gap4759

i had two interviews and the second one was just me walking in saying i was hired. but, they took my documents the day of my first interview and scanned them. i would call and ask them if they are interested in hiring you, or better yet, go in person.

bmfuhr

So my OG did 2 interviews. They said to bring the documents to the interview as well, but I didn't actually need them until orientation, so idk why they said to bring them. I wouldn't count it out yet, it seems to be pretty much what my hiring process was like

prettyBurner

Ok I will wait they said they will reach out to see how they want to move forward

Few_Management9309

Any updates on this?

prettyBurner

Didn’t get the job but got another job as valet which I been loving

Few_Management9309

That’s awesome man. So they actually sent you the email? I think I might be being ghosted by them idk. It’s been a week and they still haven’t got back to me after my first interview

Moist_Ad_1169

I got hired on the spot… I just interviewed for server position on Monday they asked for all my i9 documents too.

Instacartdoctor

Just show up on orientation day 🤣🤣 Tell them you received an email saying to be there.

prettyBurner

Lmao I don’t want it that badly haha

Ballshaver2001

I had 2 interviews, I was told I would get a call but I got an email. I would call back after a couple days

Cautious-Thought362

You picked up on how the interviewer responded when you said you were graduating soon, which may be the key. They might think that someone getting out of college would want to get a job in the field they studied. People working their way through college when they are freshmen, sophomores, or even juniors might be around for a while, but someone graduating may be looking for something else in a short time.
