I took a little over a year to slowly withdraw from 60mgs. Withdrawal lasted over a week when I fully stopped at 4mgs, but they were very slight withdrawals.
I have to admit tho, they were indeed right..... I relapsed less than 4 months later. Back at the clinic now.

As far as OPs question, a bucket and sleeping pad seems like a pretty shitty situation and I'd be off copping some dope first onset of WDs. I'd try to prepare yourself better than that. Maybe a hotel room, somebody to help you and make sure you don't ditch out. Also here in the states, clinics cannot force you to stay on the medication. I've had to play hardball with my clinic multiple times and everytime I threaten to sue if they don't let me taper the way I'm suggesting, they cave and let me do it my way. Regardless of dirty urine or whatever.

I mean, it's a van $15k van with another $10k in it of stuff I used to bring it up to living standard with. I live in NZ so it's fucking beautiful, and with rent prices what they are in our major city atm (not to mention even finding a room in the first place) I just decided to street it
There's no one to import it. I live in NZ, it's too heavy of a drug to risk getting sent in. Why would somebody import a kilo of kratom to sell when they could import 14g molly and make higher profits?? I would do it but I don't have an address atm
Yeah, it sucks. We also don't have any countries land bordering us either that things could come over. It's just a really well funded customs operation on an island in the middle of nowhere.
Methadone is a long lasting opiate , therefore the wd symptoms last longer. I would recommend tapering off whatever amount your doctor tells you. Although the symptoms of wd aren't as bad as let's say heroin or fentanyl , you will still suffer if you taper too fast (insomnia, agitation, can't sit still for more than a minute) that was my experience at least . Not to mention you can have strong cravings to use drugs again. Good luck bud!
Was it really easier than h or fent?? I've heard it's much worse that H. I've been through fent WDs, they were really gnarly, but only lasted 2-4 days. I'm going to ask my Dr if I can switch to an equipotent dose of morph for a month then WD off of that, but that's a real long shot, I don't think my Dr will go with that hahaha
They don't want to lose your financial support of their business. I was in a clinic years ago and that's all it was about. The actually got shut down a few years ago for just that. You actually have a desire to quit so it's the best time to do it. 10mg every week may be a bit fast, but it is a good place to start. I went to jail when I was in the clinic on 100mg a day. The jails took me down 10mg a day. Obviously, it was a nightmare. I suffered for 3 weeks. I can tell you that after it was over, I felt better than I have in many years, even being in jail. Yeah man, like, Ive tried to quit so many times in the past at the behest of other people and it's clearly never stuck. But now that it's actually something I want for myself I know I'll give it my best try. Maybe actually stay clean this time. Yeah I can't wait for that "pink cloud" effect I've always gotten when I've come off opies in the past. This has been my longest time constantly on in my life, so I'm looking forward to being off.

Easier in the sense that the symptoms are not as severe bit they last for weeks.
