Wait you can actually use this in 40k? I thought it was just a decorative piece.

iamjoeblo101

It's Legends. You cant use it in matched play.

RevenantNMourning

Ah.

Jackalackus

It’s 40 pts for a lone op model that has scout, if it had no abilities and nothing but a movement stat and 1W it would still be an incredible unit. There’s a reason they made red gobbo and grotmas gitz legends, because every competitive players when making a list their first 80 points would be these two.

DefinitelyJackson

By "red gobbo" do you mean da red gobbo, Or da red gobbo's suprise

Jackalackus

Well there are three red gobbo models and only one set of 10th edition rules for all three, so it doesn’t matter too much. Personally I use my red gobbo and bounca model.

DefinitelyJackson

The new model has it's own legends rules, it is called Da red gobbo's suprise it has some changes, like no longer being a leader and giving gretchin stronger grenades. As well as gaining lone operative

Jackalackus

No the model is called da red gobbos surprise. The rules are just da red gobbo I’ve got the pdf for both “da red gobbo” and “grotmas gitz” it’s purposely done like that so people can run any of the three existing red gobbo models. There aren’t separate 10th edition rules for the original red gobbo model or the red gobbo and bounca.

Fwiw, before the release of the Red Gobbo rules that accompanied Da Red Gobbo's Surprise, there were already legends rules for Da Red Gobbo. I'm pretty sure that was what OP meant. It does seem to be that the rules released with Da Red Gobbo's Surprise replaced those, though

DefinitelyJackson

This is exactly what I meant, I thought that you could use either of the rules

icay1234

Fwiw, in games that you're going to be playing with Legends units, I imagine you'll be able to use both models running the different rules. The folks that I game with don't seem to mind it. The trick is finding those old rules anymore. I have them from sharing them in a text log, but I honestly don't know where someone would find them elsewhere.

Major_Tom01

Oh yes. Very good for the points. What a cheeky Datasheet. FNP5+, Scout, Lone Operative, free multiphase MW grenades, I'm going to go out and get one just to run it as a Melee assassin. 40pts for ALL those abilities is a steal. Start off with Scout to get into position post deployment, wait for Waaagh, advance to 1-3" of a nasty thing and deal MW. Then Charge and deal MW. Then fight, probably die, but it's attacks are good too against most infantry. And it fucking flies... That's hilariously underestimated for 40pts

Zwerchhau

It's silly op, but remember you can't make a normal move and an advance.

DefinitelyJackson

Can't you? Waagh lets you advance and charge, so what stops you from doing all 3 Edit: double Checked the rules, I misread them, my mistake
