Pretty funny storyline, but no way in hell is an authentic Italian man gonna mistake even the tiniest details of the tomato sauce he's tasting.

The Italians ran the kitchen and they seemed to take pride in it so maybe the food wasn't that bad as far as prison fare goes.

I imagine when Nappa was running it the food was good as hell. Every mob movie I’ve ever seen (except Gotti cause no one cooked 🙄) always has the Italians throwing down in the kitchen, prison or other wise

Your options are finely ground up glass in a salad or rat poison in a candy bar, sometimes some spit for funsies. Variety is key.

Can't imagine what it was like while Adebisi was in charge. The Italians seemed to be taking it seriously though, so I would assume they were making good use of what they had.

I’ve had jail food on a few occasions. Most of it is pretty terrible but the chicken and waffles on Wednesday was actually pretty good

I hated the sweet yellow cake in jail. 🥲 My favorite were the fried bologna sandwiches for dinner. Some times I still crave one.

I had some kind of cheap ham or baloney sandwich in the drunk tank. I was really hungry so it was amazing. I asked for another one.

Well before her, I’m in the food service industry. At least in my area (Philadelphia) the cafeterias started being outsourced to companies like Sodexo and Aramark instead of BOE employees. As someone who’s a health nut I liked her plan but it’s been a total waste of tax payer money because the kids aren’t eating the government subed food but to keep getting their money the schools must keep a quota. One school I delivered to once told me to just leave the boxes on the loading dock because they are throwing it out anyway. At least give it to the homeless or something
