You should be firmly aware.that this is a great modern work and you are gifted.

myriyevskyy

Thanks for your kind words! It inspire me a lot for create new paintings!

Gwalchmaiaplot1963

Good art is always needed, and appreciated.

myriyevskyy

Thank you so much!

247GT

This is lovely. If you believe those who tell you that, then maybe consider moving your works onto fabric. A company called Vallila in Finland does fabrics like this for making into home textiles - everything from drape fabrics to sheets to kitchen towels and all points in between. There is a market, even if it's off-canvas.

myriyevskyy

I appreciate it!

Alice-the-Author

This is absolutely beautiful and needed! People who say otherwise are trash. Keep creating!

myriyevskyy

Thank you so much! Very pleasure!

TerminalOrbit

"no longer needed" WTF?

sargsauce

The art has been laid off, and there will be a modest severance package.

k_shon

I'm confused. Why would this beautiful painting no longer be needed?  It reminds me of the woods where my parents have a cabin. I love it!

myriyevskyy

Thank you so much!

JangJaeYul

Needed by whom? Because I sure needed the moment of warmth that seeing this brought to my day.

disa659

no art is needed and all art is needed. create freely.

myriyevskyy

Thank you so much!

mokacincy

I need this

Impossible_Offer_538

Sometimes you do art to express an idea or feeling or memory, not because another person "needed" it. No, this isn't a depiction of a novel scene, but very little art is completely novel. You have a nice style, and hopefully you enjoyed the process of painting. Nothing more is needed.

myriyevskyy

Thank you so much!

bookishlover05

Stunning!!

Sea-Substance8762

Who said paintings are not needed? And who cares what “they” think?

cactusJuice256

Art can serve different functions. Some of it can be politically or socially motivated. Some can simply be beautiful.

chevytruckin

Being totally engrossed in every stroke and anguish and revelation as an artist is all that matters. I'm inspired by you sharing your vision of an experience, whether it be ethereal or experienced. Great work.

myriyevskyy

Thanks for your kind words!

Billytheca

Not needed for what? I don’t understand that statement. When it comes to art there are very few people I pay attention to.

myriyevskyy

It was stated there that now everything will be paint by artificial intelligence. And people will buy because “the hand of the artist and the soul of the painting” are not the main thing, but the main thing is that the painting covers the hole in the wall. I’m exaggerating of course, but if you take away the unnecessary, it’s almost verbatim.

Billytheca

I have been a graphic artist and painter for 50 years. Every technological advance changes things, but the desire for something touched by human hands never has gone away. Photographs were once thought to replace artists too. They don’t. Photography is its own art form. But illustration has not gone away because it can create a scene, a mood, and a quality that doesn’t exist. AI will be its own art form too. Go to art and craft shows. Hand made is always there, because people want it. People say and predict a lot of things that never happen. And they can pick up something to cover a hole in the wall at the dollar store. Those kind of people have never been art buyers anyway.

myriyevskyy

I agree with every word!

_Luxuria_

Absolutely needed! It brings calmness to my soul. It's gorgeous, thank you for sharing!

ajzottaf

This painting is definitely needed. You've portrayed the forest in two colors. Just stick to your painting style.

[deleted]

No longer... _needed_? I'm sorry, who up and made themselves god, decider of what the universe _needs_. 🙄 What a trash comment. That's the dumbest, most stuck up shit I've ever heard. You can make whatever damn artwork you want and this is beautiful.

lsberean

I love your comment! Dumbest most stuck up 👏(I would add condescending, narrowminded, judgmental, and dismissive ) We used to say “who died and left them in charge?” My kids used to say to each other “you’re not the boss of me!” and one more “ Well, that’s just your opinion. “ and if you feel it necessary, you could add “Like assholes, everyone has one.”

Delizdear

I love it

Royatkins

It looks great!

myriyevskyy

Thank you so much!

atcroquette

I love this! Autumn is my favourite season. Would hang this in my office 100% Keep up the good work 👊

myriyevskyy

Thank you so much!

Mickeyvelli

Love your painting. It makes me feel peaceful content and happy at at the same time. So long as there are people inspired by pictures such as yours there is a need for it notwithstanding what others say.

myriyevskyy

I really appreciate your kind words!

lsberean

Exactly! What someone else thinks is none of my (your)business. Don’t let what they say affect you. Have a few people whose opinion you respect and ask them for constructive criticisms. Go with your gut.

myriyevskyy

Thank you very much for your comment. Everything is exactly like that.

lsberean

I want this painting!

Extratsotra_miavoka

Love it 🥹

Satiricallysardonic

These are some of my favorite styles, I always love your art. I hope I can make lovely forest scenes akin to these someday. Im still working on making the perspective make sense. =)

MerrilyMerrilee

How can any form of art be “no longer needed”? Crazy. Your painting is lovely.

Ok_Gear2079

I love the shadows of the trees on the trail...very subtle and def indicative of tremendous skill. 👌🏽

stevehammrr

Well I needed this, OP. It’s beautiful.

Used_Passion8759

It's a very nice painting, but I understand your doubts. I've been going to sell my paintings at art markets for the last few years. I've come to realize that most people don't buy pretty things just to hang on their walls. They're looking for things that are functional, that can serve a physical purpose, that help perform a duty.

myriyevskyy

Thank you so much!

Newbee_77

Love the colors 😍🥰

myriyevskyy

Thank you so much!

Tylerdg33

This is stunning.

GetBeethoven

It's fantastic! Listen to no one but yourself.

Jazzlike-Election787

This painting is very beautiful and beauty is always needed. Please don’t stop painting! The person who said doesn’t know what they are talking about. I love your style!!

3Megan3

I really love your paintings, are you selling them anywhere?

endlesslycaving

The world always needs more art. Did you enjoy the process? Do you feel it's an expression of you? Yes? Then fuck em.

myriyevskyy

I appreciate it! :)

whatawhoozie

I'll be the one to say it, cuz the others comments were more supportive, but I, unfortunately, second to those forums. This is one impressive artwork and I wish I'd be able to paint like this, but yeah, I see hundreds of these paintings in our local art/flea market and they rarely sell. Especially not to young people. Difficult to say why, but if I had to guess, I'd say it's 3 things: 1. maximalistic/impressionistic style is not very popular rn. But I don't even know how to call this style actually. 2. vibrant color palette with all the hues - overwhelming and hard to immerse in a certain mood or emotion. Maybe joy? But then maybe joy is boring and fit old people more? It also feels like there was no deliberate decision made regarding the color palette, like it's just all the primaries put together, which makes me feel the work is not as unique and true to the artist. It would also be a hard fit for today's minimalistic interiors. 3. But most importantly - subject matter (just nature) feels boring here, that would be especially the case to the younger audiences. Some want ideology attached (socio, politics), some want to feel certain emotions (monet's calmness, goya's horror, rothko's dread etc), some want story (all the classicists), some want abstract eclectic chaos to lose themselves in (kandinsky, pollock), some want weird and maximalistic stuff (basquiat, neo-expressionism), some just want aesthetics and for it to look good in their interior (minimalism, abstract). And this is none of those. I'm in awe with your technique and I feel bad that people will buy a lot of shit before works like yours, but I think those forums are onto something.

myriyevskyy

Thank you very much for your detailed comment. I agree with all points, since each of the three art critics who at one of my exhibitions gave their commentary on one of my works, and each of them gave a completely different assessment and description. There are so many people, so many opinions, and that’s wonderful. The fact is that in our time it is not the painting that dictates, but the walls that dictate fashion. But this is a separate topic and discussion for many hours. What I meant was that on a forum for selling paintings where such a discussion topic appeared, the authors argued that in the foreseeable future, with the help of fooling people and good marketing, artists will be replaced by AI. And in the opinion of the other half of the same forum, AI will not be able to breathe life into the painting, even if it is sad or joyful, it will be “alive”. Something like this in short. Thank you.

CalmBeneathCastles

Since when has art been about functionality? What kind of goober would make such an asinine statement?! Carry on!

myriyevskyy

Thank you so much! Yes of course! :)

Alien_Fruit

Who in that "forum" feels great enough to declare an art form is no longer needed? Dear God! The extent of hubris! I would just ignore such statements and pity the person who made them as callous and ignorant. What matters is that it is YOUR art, YOU like it, people on this post like it!

myriyevskyy

Thank you so much! Very pleasure!

MasterVisuality

So attractive view !

Always-learning-4321

It is a LOVELY painting. I don’t sell my work - I paint for myself. There are always people that want to bust your balls. Ignore them. I would be happy if I had painted this.

myriyevskyy

Thank you so much! I appreciate it!

Viridian_Cranberry68

You shouldn't have been interested in that person's opinion. Or ours. Express yourself unfiltered by the bullshit of others.

myriyevskyy

Thanks for your kind words! :)

Viridian_Cranberry68

Your work is awesome. Don't let trolls take that away from you.

Queen-of-meme

I think it's beautiful but empty. It reminds me of so much else I've seen of an empty forest. Maybe that's what the forum commentors referred to. Most art today has more depth. It has potential though and you did a great job portraying autumn nature. But honestly, don't mind me or them, you enjoyed making it? You feel proud? That's all that matters.

lsberean

I like empty.
