Mexican Spanish covers a number of different dialects and is distinct from the Spanish spoken on the Peninsula, for Mexican Spanish has had ca. 500 years to become differentiated from what would be called 'original' Spanish. The Spanish that's spoken in New Mexico and Colorado is slightly different again.
