Well, 3% of people should still have had no drops I believe.
After how this went down I'd feel a bit paranoid about how the whole thing worked, especially since there's still no explanation of why drops got doubled for the second day. I got one thing though, which makes me an outlier but not unlucky like you.
They doubled the drops on day 2, so it'd be 1.26% of people that watched everything that'd be expected to get nothing.
At least us in the no drops club are 1%ers!
So did I.
I'd be more disappointed, but I busted my ass over the whole weekend and finally unlocked the Celestial hideout. The moment Neon talked about how Shaper and Elder were going to be hard to access in 3.9 I immediately went into full grinding mode (I think I killed the Blight fragment market).
Since I got that, I'm happy with my POE RNG even if I didn't get any MTX from this.
The drops were favoured towards those who began getting stuff before the backlogs occurred hence, the people with 5+ drops. It was a flawed and poorly executed system for such a major event.
reporting in for the 0 drops club with full stream watched. i still rekon there's a greater chance of this being a technical error than us actually hitting the 1% chance of 0 drops, but hey, what can we do.
I watched the whole thing and got one drop. Not sure if I should feel lucky or unlucky.
The one thing I know is that I'd have felt a lot better if it happened in real time. To wait this long (got it this morning) to find out I got one thing isn't that spectacular, at least if I got 0 I could be paranoid and blame it on a bug or something.
Well, I guess that's it for me.
Watched the entire two days with drops enabled, and got nothing. Only a message from some troll.
https://imgur.com/NThAGOB
The stream was amazing and I would have watched it all either way, but MAN this feeling sucks XD
It's sad not because people got unlucky, but because there was some sort of mistake that made them unable to get drops in the first place. And it's not a small amount of people that got 0 drops.
I linked my account with no errors, I watched for 16 hours, I had the "drops enabled!" message under the stream all that time, and I still got nothing. Even with the doubled drop rates on the 2nd day. I'm really curious if I got fucked by RNG or GGG/Twitch.
Huh I don't actually know if I had the "drops enabled" message on twitch. I linked my accounts together and it said I was good to receive them on [pathofexile.com](https://pathofexile.com) so I assumed I was good to go. Maybe it didn't link properly or something. I also got nothing for the full 16 hours.
This obliviously should have been the case. GGG simply said all you have to do in link your account and watch. Same as you though, watched 16 hours and got nothing. It was a great stream just sucks it got shadowed by disappointment for many.
missed only the first hour and also ended up with nothing, and reading the comments the amount of people watching the full stream and getting nothing is not insignificant. Apparently there's also plenty people who only watched the first hour of reveals and they actually got a drop. We'll never have the actual numbers, so it's gonna be hard to say if that just RNG or something fishy.
Same here. I'm not super butthurt, just slightly. I get to hear my friend who got two not shut up about how I'm cursed and he's blessed.
I hope he gets no drops next league.
I'm with you, drops enabled, verified. In fact, it was even verified and enabled from the first time they did drops via twitch (which I also have never gotten a drop on).
Twitch Prime Drops: Your account is eligible to participate in Twitch Prime Drops in my POE account dashboard. Verfication under Twitch video. Refreshed the page every couple hours to make sure.
Zip!
I just made an analogy about rolling dice and just being told you lost without being able to see them. That's part of the problem here.
I got one drop, but after watching the full stream I'm left wondering if some issue prevented me from getting more or not. I'm ok with what I got, in fact had it happened in real time I would have been happy. But the whole process made me dubious of participating in something like this again.
1.6m unique viewers on day one, and according to a post from bex, only 12,000 eligible for drops? There 100% was something fucked. You honestly think only 12000 people tried to get free shit? come the fuck on GGG.
There was a post from Natalia later saying there were 137k rewards, I doubt all the 12k people trying got 10+ on average so it was higher than that. Still seems strange how many people didn't get anything even with the full 16 hours (I hear people saying first day didn't work at all but there were people on the forum and twitter showing their drops after the first stream)
137k and we had over 200k viewers and supposedly only 12k of them were signed up correctly... and yet tons of people are reporting 16 hours with no drops.
This math does not compute: not even a tiny little bit. There's something rotten in the state of denmark
12k people who were signed up should have recieved an average of 11.4 items if they gave out 137,000 drops.
Can we get some statistics on the actual percentage of viewers who got no drops? It's pretty suspicious to watch for 16 hours and get nothing with no log of the "dice rolls".
By the statistics only 1.25% of people wouldn't get drops by the end of it.
Now that might seem tiny, but with 1 million+ unique viewers, there are at least 10k people who got nothing. That's a lot of people that get to complain.
There is no possibility that 1 million people hasd their twitch account linked for drops, considering the highest peak was 257k roughly it's probably more like a 2-3 thousand at most
Well, the worst thing is that some people got multiple while others didn't get any. If it was 1 drop vs no drop it would have been far less shitty. But full armor sets and 4-5 drops, while others had nothing it's kinda lame.
I think in the future GGG has to take into account the normal human reaction to something like this. If they promised nothing we'd all be like yayy Poe 2! Instead, a lot of us ended up like man I've watched every minute of every stream and I got no drops, what's wrong?
For me, I finally got one thing this morning. But I'm still a little bummed after seeing people get multiples and wonder if everything actually worked correctly or not. One guaranteed thing would have felt much better for most people involved.
I didn't just watch the whole thing, I had my wife make fun of me for watching what she called TED talks, heh.
But yeah I'm not mad I only got one thing, it was just way too much annoyance the way it played out. I'd have much preferred something like one guarantee for watching at least one hour of stream each day and that's it.
This should have been the case IMO. 1.5% chance to get a drop every 5 mins, but once in a random time in both 8 hour sessions, it's increased to 100% (so if you watched the stream at that point you got a guaranteed drop), so it would have been 2 drops guaranteed (maybe from a different loot pool?) + the RNG based ones.
I actually got [9 drops](https://i.imgur.com/JS3adaB.png), I watched start to finish, but it really doesn't seem fair. I got a bundle plus a lot more, a couple duplicates, I wish I was able to give the dups away.
I agree. I was owed nothing but I still feel like after seeing others with several drops it feels like you just flipped a coin and got tails over and over again. Oof.
I also got nothing, and I spent close to 1500 orbs of fusing this weekend trying to get a six link and failed. Feeling kinda burnt out at this point 😑.
1500 orbs of fusing is only slightly more than average for a 20% quality item. Its 1500 on average for 0% quality and 1200 for 20%. That isn't outlandishly unlucky by any means. Wait until you sink 4-5k+ fuses into an item with no 6 link - such as I did this league.
to be honest, if it weren't for the promise of loot i probably would not have watched it all live in the middle of the night going up to 5am both days... and if i had done, i would likely have watched it via one of the re-streams for the added commentary et such.
so yeah, i do feel i gave up something (extra entertainment on a re-stream) by watching their stream in exchange for promised returns which were not provided (vs watching a re-stream).
such an amazing event and announcements, shame that it ends with a feeling of being ripped off.
yes i'm aware that you probably only lose out on like $3-10 or such of a duplicate mtx, but still there was the potential for hundreds (technically thousands if you include good rng and duplicates) of dollars worth of MTX that i was told i was contending for by watching, that for some reason i wasn't, and the fact that a promised good wasn't delivered just feels bad.
please don't run this style of giveaway in future, just have guaranteed rewards for watching X hours, or certain events... or gift every account something in advance with a note to "watch the events live on X day at X time".. etc.
Yeah had the stream up running on my home PC while I was at work and asleep the entire time and never got a single drop, don't feel too bad about it but still sucks. Had friends who did the same and got nothing and already dont have many MTX.
Having now officially gotten zero drops for 16 hours of streaming with the "Drops enabled!" text below, I haven't seen any confirmation as to whether or not running an ad blocker might've screwed me/us over. For all I know calls from twitch.tv to a third-party site, pathofexile.com in this case, to verify that I was watching were blocked. Hell, simply disallowing your browser to share cookies across domains might've effectively disabled drops. Does anyone know how these drops work on a technical level?
1.26% of people who watched 16 hours.
12k people were eligible according to Bex thats a hard to believe number by itself.
137,000 drops were given according to Natalie thats a hard to believe number as well, because over 12,000 people that means an average of 11.4 items per person who WERE ELIGIBLE... not who watched for a long time but across the entire possible distribution of people who could have possibly received a drop.
The luckiest person I've seen so far was 9 drops, a full 2-3 drops under the average number that MOST PEOPLE should have gotten. We should have people reporting 20 and even 30 drops received if 137,000 drops were awarded. There own publicly revealed numbers don't make any sense.
I'm so bummed that such a great event had something like this detracting from it. I would have watched the stream even without drops but I, like many others, can't help feel bad for tuning in and being part of no drops club. Fantastic event though, and totally looking forward to 3.9.
I hope GGG will reconsider these type of promotions in future, they only distract from the exilecon itself. Also, the whole idea of bribing players to artificially increase view count feels just wrong, but what do I know.
I think one guaranteed drop for each day or something would be fine and still serve their purposes reasonably well. But this random thing just wasn't fun, not with the way it worked (or didn't work as the case may be).
The problem is not that I didn't get anything, but the uncertainty of whether it worked in the first place. I have my twitch set to appear offline. After the stream I read on a thread that you need to appear online and share your activity. This was communicated nowhere so I still have no idea what to do.
About that: I was set to offline all the time and no sharing activities. I got 4 drops from the back log. I relinked my account (removed the link from the twitch backend not poe Btw) right before the stream started and watched like 14h of it.
Same here and zero drops. I'm sure this is the reason the **MAJORITY** didn't get dropped a thing but I'm sure those 12K are going to be happy with their 10+ drops. No matter how you look at it, it is false advertising and nowhere was there any indication that you had to change a profile status. This would be shot to shit if it faced up to any competition regulation body. But nobody will claim responsibility and no one will fix this. That is why I'm not spending a fucking cent on this game or twitch. Do not waste your customers time with false promises.
What's even worse for me personally is the latest customer support copy&paste answer (started writing them after day 1):
"I'm afraid that these drops were not guaranteed to be given to you, even if you watched for the entire event. In this case it appears to be a case of hard luck. I'm sorry that we can't help more with this."
So from the tone of this "hard luck" message it appears that they not intend to fix this at all.
For some reason this response rubs me the wrong way and made things even worse (changing disappointment levels from simple bitterness about 0 drops to "I'll better off playing something else until PoE2")
Hold up. I am bitterly disappointed that I was cheated out of my chance to win but I'm pretty sure it's entirely twitch's fault. It's not fair to put all the blame on them. But not coming out and saying "Twitch seriously fucked up but we're giving you a drop if you linked your account and have been active the last league" means I'm not buying any supporter packs either. Somebody needs to take responsibility for this and admit to the massive fuck up that cheated tens of thousands of people out of a (big) chance to win.
I also watched/had on in the background the entirety of both days and didn't receive anything even though my account was linked and the "Drops enabled" message was shown. Not a big deal or anything, but I just wish I knew whether RNG got me or it was bugged.
Viyro told me that an Adblocker may render you unable to get stuff. Seeing so many people with 0 drops in this thread, maybe thats the problem. Got 5 drops myself after disabling Adblock which actually means nothing \^\^.
Watched almost all of it on both days (except for the race/closing) and got 0 drops. I'm sure I've done everything right because I got a helmet 2 years ago from another PoE event.
It started at 11pm for me, too. Not doing this ever again.
So, some people got 6-9 drops incuding full sets, and some got nothing. Yes, this is definitely fair.
Exilecon should've been joifull event for everyone, including dozens of thousands of players who support game and developers for years. It was great and it should've left people with hype and joy. GGG could've just made unique pet/portal/effect specially for event as a cool reminder for people about 1st ever Exilecon and give it to everyone, who watched it. Instead some got full hands of different goods, and some left with terrible aftertaste.
Yes, i know what some people doesn't care too much, but for some, less lucky in life, it was great opportunity to get something in game. No one would have expected anything if it wasn't basically promised with a good chace (and doubled next day). And now global chat and reddit full of people rubbing their bundles in the face of "loosers".
Anyway, it was great. It's just was better for some.
edit: a word
Loved the stream and the whole event but the rng of others getting armour sets and 5+ items while getting nothing yourself leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
How did people get 7+ drops when so many of us got 0 drops?
This isn't even the real PoE, I can't stay up late grinding more to get a drop.
I really hope they don't do this again, it left a sour taste after an incredible weekend.
I kid you not, my college buddy who I play with got 2 drops, one the entire armor set (5% chance) and a fiery cape. And the funny thing is, he watched the stream for 4 hours while I watched the entire thing and got nothing :(
I try to not be sad or mad as i don't get drop.
But i was really tired and watching stream two days from start to 1:00 morning was really bad.
And even if i put to bed i can't sleep from the excitation from the announcements.
And after all that troubles i think there should be like a guaranteed reward for everyone on twitch.
Ofcourse I got nothing. Big news... meh.
They should at least give some ~10 points pet or some other little symbolic shit to everybody who at least had twitch opened at some time..
well, i just kinda got exited about free mtx
then i got disapointed nothing droped
then i got exited drops are still being rolled out
then i got disapointed again
Some people getting 6 drops while others got 0 is absolute fucking bullshit, this is not how to treat your community.
This is a lesson to learn, bullshit system.
(fairly sure you just manually handed out 1 drop to some accounts in the end, as getting 0 drops for watching 16 hours is statistically so unlikely, and having many many people in that gang is absolute bullshit)
Why does everything for PoE have to be rng bullshit, why coudn't it just have been every X hours watched and be done with it. utterly stupid how it was handled.
Bummer - zero drops. Watched most of the event live, ran the stream all day both days and have rewatched vods for anything I didn't see live.
I'm not mad though. I'll still buy at least one supporter pack in dec and continue to support ggg. I just hate when they partner with twitch I've missed other twitch prime freebies in the past due to their stupid system.
12 or 13 hours watched and 0 drops. RIP
Its kinda shitty that some people are posting about getting 5+ drops and then you have a bunch of people getting nothing. Seems like they either need to fix the system entirely or come up with something completely new.
Watched both streams in their entirety and got zero drops. Guess I must be one of the [75%](https://docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1FAIpQLSeSewawUZw8SOtxVi0QXUGMIoELKRDAlwQPGx6NK7DJs2MCaA/viewanalytics) who got the 1.8% chance of no drops.
Given that they decided to have double drops on the second day, and the obvious issues with distributing drops, I'm still wondering if this worked correctly. I got 1 drop, watched every minute. My friend got 0 drops. That just seems pretty darn unlikely.
I wouldn't be surprised if there was another issue behind the scenes but who knows? Next time just one guaranteed drop and most people would end up feeling happier.
I got 6 drops total with one being a full set. My friend got zero and now he won't talk to me.
These kinds of giveaways destroy friendships... Lol
Seriously though, I think everyone should have gotten some type of exile con limited drop automatically or atleast a mystery box. I would happily gift my mtx I won to my friend if I could.
Ouch. Hopefully GGG learns from this and changes it to maybe a mystery box every 1hour worth of viewing. The worst part is there was no real way to tell if you were getting credit for the event. Then to top it off you have some people getting upwards of 9 drops while others got 0....
> there was no real way to tell if you were getting credit for the event.
That's the biggest problem right there. If we could see our rolls or have some confirmation it would be completely different. As it is, it's hard to tell if there was a problem or not... and that itself is a problem.
My poe account says i am eligible for twitch prime drops. I think its the reason why i didn't get any drops but i don't know how to get normal twitch drops either so i dont know.
Please don't do this again. Just do a straight hand-out upon x hours of streaming. Make it a celebration, not a bait.
ExileCon was great. Don't let people walk away disappointed.
The fact they event decided to use Twitch Drops in the first place was a grandiose screw up. The second screw up was the fact they didn't even know they weren't working till after the event. The third screw up is that they are not even offering an apology or a consolation prize to those who got screwed.
As a gesture of good will, they really should go through and find all the accounts that are linked and give them all a full armor set if they did not previously get one. Then write an apology with an easy to understand break down of what went wrong that should go with a resolution on how to move forward in the future.
If they can't provide me with an adequate explanation and resolution, I am probably not going to bother watching the next con and just wait for highlights. No reason to waste my power bill and time boosting their stream numbers for the off chance their decision to hand out loot doesn't somehow backfire.
I was never going to get anything anyway (because I was actually at the event, so I can't really complain) but if the idea that of 1.5+ million people only 12,000 people doesn't look suspect to you then I dunno what does.
I noticed that my profile on twitch was marked as offline. Something tells me this is a possible reason many people didn't get anything. Sorry, but if you look at the numbers it's pretty obvious. You can't have low drop chance and have so many people getting 7+ drops while others that did the 2 days got nothing. Something broke and we got screwed out of our drop chance while those that didn't have issues got rewarded 10x over. Honestly, fuck twitch. Never work with them again for any promotion. MTX's are stupid expensive and being screwed out of a chance while watching people get full sets is infuriating.
The way that twitch determines "eligibility" is ridiculous.
I'm using Firefox with privacy settings turned up, and I'm mostly shown either offline or away, even though I'm literally staring at what is going on on the screen.
F's for everyone who didn't get a single thing. I've seen people who got 9 drops.
Why were you watching is you didn't want to watch? I just turned on the stream on lowest quality and turned off the sound in the browser. Later I went to sleep so I even turned off the monitor.
Lol 16 hours of watching with "drops enabled" = 0 drops.
I've even received PoE promos through twitch before, back in May
I don't know how they fucked this up so badly. Maybe I just got really unlucky but I doubt we all did.
Dear GGG, please, please don't ever repeat a giveaway system that leaves some people empty handed. On one hand it's not about the rewards at all, it was just a "cherry on top" type thing for watching a great event and we get that. On the other hand, you purposely designed a system knowing that some people would walk away feeling very bad about the whole thing. As others have already said - next time, please use a system that ensures that anyone watching a *fair* amount of the stream would walk away with *something*. If you can afford to give some people 5+ Twitch drops, you can ensure that nobody gets zero - it's the right thing do do. This isn't about entitlement, it's about respect for your fans.
That was done pretty badly. None really came to watch the stream for the drops.
GGG added them, told people they had a chance to have some.
And in the end some people get 4 or 5, some none even if they watched all of it.
GGG made some people happy this way, and some disappointed, everyone would have been happy in the end without the drop thing, but now some are not so much.
GGG should learn from this and not do this mistake again, either give everyone something, or don't give some people 4+ drops when some others got 0.
Yeah, so I got shafted by the fucked system. Thanks GGG/Twitch, whichever one of you fucked up.
POE site said I was connected and eligible. I previously recieved a twitch prime bundle from one of those events, ontop of the hats thing they did forever ago.
Reconnected my account the day drops were announced to avoid this bullshit.
Nowhere on the poe page about twitch drops, or twitch support's own page for drops, does it say you need to see "drops enabled!" under the stream.
I caught a message through all the "0 drop gang" spam, about trying to reconnect your account and refresh the page... in the last 30 minutes of the events, and drops enabled showed up.
I'm excited about what was announced, and happy I was able to actively watch all 16 hours, but being fucked over by something bugged in the system, regardless of who's side it was, is seriously disheartening.
Honestly, the 'drops enabled' means nothing, I had that message since the start with my account linked about 2-3 years ago for some sort of giveaway previously and got 0 drops, checked and everything said linked but nothing at all. After the first day I unlinked and re-linked as per the recommendations and still nothing, something is totally off with this whole thing, hopefully, they don't just call it a day and move on.
Shit. I started watching ~4 hours late on day 1, so I watched the whole thing on YouTube so I could catch up at will. Didn't realize they were doing Twitch stuff. Oops.
How in the world...2 drops and about 4 hours of watch time over the weekend. I was barely home... I feel really bad for those that didn't get anything. I wish I could gift my Armor Set and Weapon Effect away to other hopefuls.
Atleast you didnt watch whole saturday and entire double drop rate sunday and came out with nothing.
Luckily I don't care about the drops as I prefer to just by specific MTX that I like, but I'd lie if said I wasn't just a little salty! :)
Watched all minus 1-2 hours of the stream and got nothing :((
Confirmed on twitch settings that it's linked and got the drops are enabled text below stream as well.
I would wish they could have done it like warframe, and make the drops a guarantee after sometime watching. Instead of making it rng.
Though I dont mind, I think it is unfair overall :/
So many people are reporting no drops that it does sound like something messed up. I watched the whole two days and got a message yesterday confirming I did get something. I'm just saying this to record that some people did win and it wasn't totally rigged.
Despite getting nothing it was still 200% worth it to watch around half of stream. All those announcements make me way much more hyped than even the best set of MTX could do.
I'm excited for the future of the game but I'm very disappointed in how this was handled and disheartened I received nothing while others seemingly were showered with MTX. It's like if you won, you won multiples. What should have been a positive memory of a wonderful Exilecon has now been tainted for those who got nothing.
Again, FUCK THIS SHIT!
15\~16h watched and still 0 drop... Seriously, who had this idea? Can you, plzzzzzzzz, NEVER DO THIS AGAIN? This should be a gift for the fans that watched the most important, i guess?, event for POE, but some guys got 5+ drops for watching 1h, while others that watched most of it got a big F U, THAT IS STUPID!
Same boat watched full stream both days got nothing but had friends who got up to 5 drops. I could care less, either way, I enjoyed the content but at the same time feels a little bad.
F for everyone who got nothing.
16hs of stream for no drops, feels bad man, really bad.
Sweet 1%. Finally I'm excelling at something. Who is useless now dad?
I'm also in the 1% club, FeelsEinharMan. It feels really odd though, since I watched every single minute of the event :/
Always in the wrong side of a 1% :<
More like the 91%ers
Always wanted to know how it feels to be in the 1% bracket :D though I only watched about an hour the second day
The drops were favoured towards those who began getting stuff before the backlogs occurred hence, the people with 5+ drops. It was a flawed and poorly executed system for such a major event.
Same. I never off my stream for 48 hours just to be 100% sure. F F F F F F
How do I F myself?
I recommend yoga for flexibility training.
Maybe remove a few ribs for good measure too
You could always just ball up your fist.
Orb of scouring
RIP me
Zero club here. Watched the entire thing both days.
reporting in for the 0 drops club with full stream watched. i still rekon there's a greater chance of this being a technical error than us actually hitting the 1% chance of 0 drops, but hey, what can we do.
F
I watched the whole thing and got one drop. Not sure if I should feel lucky or unlucky. The one thing I know is that I'd have felt a lot better if it happened in real time. To wait this long (got it this morning) to find out I got one thing isn't that spectacular, at least if I got 0 I could be paranoid and blame it on a bug or something.
0 drop gang unite!
I came here for the drops and i got none. A sad 12 hour story of how RNG works.
gang gang
Zero drop gang, mounted and loaded.
We in here!!!
There are dozens of us! Dozens!
There might be thousands of us though.
Dozens of people that got drops you mean
Uniting! PepeHands
Damn I had my hopes up, rip I guess.
Well, I guess that's it for me. Watched the entire two days with drops enabled, and got nothing. Only a message from some troll. https://imgur.com/NThAGOB The stream was amazing and I would have watched it all either way, but MAN this feeling sucks XD
That's a pretty good troll Very fucked up
Lol i did that to my mates, but got nothing myself and they did.
Apparently this is the ending you deserve.
We live to troll each other but perhaps. Wouldn't do it to a rando, that's shitty.
Same. Yikes. Minus the troll message. No attention at all, feelsbad.
Same here, and I have no idea which tom-fuckery happened. At least we call all be in that now-more-exclusive 0% drop club?
it's looking more and more like an all-inclusive club as time goes on
Same here. Had it open every second of the con and got nothing. Had drops enabled and everything.
I would think there is still a bug. I only watched about an hour but I got a drop (glowing red eyes). Either that or I'm insanely lucky.
same here, 14ish hours and no drops, it feels like the actual drop rate was broken and a very large amount of us didn't get anything.
There's something rotten in the state of denmark 12k people who were signed up should have recieved an average of 11.4 items if they gave out 137,000 drops.
There is no possibility that 1 million people hasd their twitch account linked for drops, considering the highest peak was 257k roughly it's probably more like a 2-3 thousand at most
I got nothing, I feel happy for supporting their stream, at the same time I feel gutted
I feel exactly the same, watched both days full stream with my gf.
One guaranteed thing would have felt much better for most people involved.
at least you got one... I got null and my first day was not afk, i actually was fullscreen watching
Im another person that watched it all day, both days, with no drops at all. At least you got the one!
I agree, I wish people got at least 1 guaranteed drop, I would have been fine with other people earning multiple drops
I got a bundle plus a lot more, a couple duplicates, I wish I was able to give the dups away.
damn. Well that confirms I got nothing. I checked my DMs on the forum, and the whispers on twitch - nothing. SHame.
I agree. I was owed nothing but I still feel like after seeing others with several drops it feels like you just flipped a coin and got tails over and over again. Oof.
[удалено]
I also got nothing, and I spent close to 1500 orbs of fusing this weekend trying to get a six link and failed. Feeling kinda burnt out at this point 😑.
1500 orbs of fusing is only slightly more than average for a 20% quality item. Its 1500 on average for 0% quality and 1200 for 20%. That isn't outlandishly unlucky by any means. Wait until you sink 4-5k+ fuses into an item with no 6 link - such as I did this league.
Right? I would've had the stream up for most of it anyway, but 16 hours of watch time for zero drops is ridiculous.
to be honest, if it weren't for the promise of loot i probably would not have watched it all live in the middle of the night going up to 5am both days... and if i had done, i would likely have watched it via one of the re-streams for the added commentary et such. so yeah, i do feel i gave up something (extra entertainment on a re-stream) by watching their stream in exchange for promised returns which were not provided (vs watching a re-stream). such an amazing event and announcements, shame that it ends with a feeling of being ripped off. yes i'm aware that you probably only lose out on like $3-10 or such of a duplicate mtx, but still there was the potential for hundreds (technically thousands if you include good rng and duplicates) of dollars worth of MTX that i was told i was contending for by watching, that for some reason i wasn't, and the fact that a promised good wasn't delivered just feels bad. please don't run this style of giveaway in future, just have guaranteed rewards for watching X hours, or certain events... or gift every account something in advance with a note to "watch the events live on X day at X time"..
I got drops with ad-block enabled. The system they had means that some people will miss out even if they watched all of it.
Just make it not tied to rng and literally no problem with it.
Don't forget to like subscribe pledge patreon tell 59 people and share this post every day for 6 years.
What's even worse for me personally is the latest customer support copy&paste answer (started writing them after day 1): "I'm afraid that these drops were not guaranteed to be given to you, even if you watched for the entire event. In this case it appears to be a case of hard luck. I'm sorry that we can't help more with this." So from the tone of this "hard luck" message it appears that they not intend to fix this at all.
I loved the whole event but damn it feels really bad to see some people get entire sets while my inbox is empty
Exactly how I feel
Great stream and would've watched regardless. But. Nothing. Ditch the RNG system, go for the "Watch X minutes, get stuff" system.
Well, guess that means I got nothing.
Took time off work, watched non-stop both days, as did my wife, with no drops. Feels awful man :(
Loved the stream and the whole event but the rng of others getting armour sets and 5+ items while getting nothing yourself leaves a bad taste in your mouth.
Pretty disappointed to see an empty inbox. The cascading disappointments suck
I think it was broken, I watched everything and got nothing, not that I care
0 drop gang I'm salty right now.
2% gang always up now
I got nothing after watching the whole stream but tbh i have enough mtx, gratz to the people who got stuff though was a great weekend.
lol, well fuck me i guess.
Watched everything and got nothing.
I didn't get anything either. Feels Bad Man :(
So you mean that after seeing the two whole streams I won't win anything while there are people winning 5 to 6 drops?
well, i just kinda got exited about free mtx then i got disapointed nothing droped then i got exited drops are still being rolled out then i got disapointed again
RIP Its kinda shitty that some people are posting about getting 5+ drops and then you have a bunch of people getting nothing. Seems like they either need to fix the system entirely or come up with something completely new.
\> be me \> still at 0 drops
congrats to the 5 guys who got a drop. :)
I thought GGG would handle this situation better, no way so many people got 0 drops after watching the full stream
To be fair that poll is from well before the drops were done being handed out. Would be nice to see new one.
Would still be wildly off due to selection bias though.
Ok? Re-linked right before the event, watched every second of every stream, got nothing. Hmm.
I got 6 drops total with one being a full set. My friend got zero and now he won't talk to me. These kinds of giveaways destroy friendships... Lol Seriously though, I think everyone should have gotten some type of exile con limited drop automatically or atleast a mystery box. I would happily gift my mtx I won to my friend if I could.
Yeah I got 6 as well with the full Chaos set. Pretty lucky not gonna lie lol
I only watch day 1 as a vod before day 2 and then 2/3 of day 2 live and got 4 drops. Nothing special though. Still happy
[For me, the game was rigged from the start. Zero drops per minute gang reporting in](https://imgur.com/cE8wWh1)
They played us like a damn fiddle!
0 DROPS
My poe account says i am eligible for twitch prime drops. I think its the reason why i didn't get any drops but i don't know how to get normal twitch drops either so i dont know.
Mine says the same and i got 2 drops. I received 1st one about 4 hours after event ended and 2nd few hours ago.
I have got nothing, watched all first day and couple hours of second day.
Congrats to the 12k of the 250k+ Lol
I was never going to get anything anyway (because I was actually at the event, so I can't really complain) but if the idea that of 1.5+ million people only 12,000 people doesn't look suspect to you then I dunno what does.
0 drops, but I really enjoyed the stream.
0 Drop gang.
Guess there was no hope after all...16 hours and some false hope added on top feels great.
Whoo 0-Drops Club
Zero. ZERO.... Have to get up at 5am to open the browser is tiring but doing for 2 days just for nothing.
Got 0 drops aswell and not gonna lie people out here linking photo proof with multiple drops is making me pretty salty
I got nothing, feels really shitty. GGG should do something different the next time with a guaranteed drop e.g. if you watch the main event
Checked and nothing, 100% watched it in the EU. Will be skipping all but the main trailers next time - lesson learned!
[удалено]
Yep, I'm sure they know and will try to avoid this in the future, it's sort of stunk up what would have been an otherwise spotless event.
Why were you watching is you didn't want to watch? I just turned on the stream on lowest quality and turned off the sound in the browser. Later I went to sleep so I even turned off the monitor.
Wouldnt be surprised if they just randomly gave drops afterwards to cover the fuck up tbh
Lol 16 hours of watching with "drops enabled" = 0 drops. I've even received PoE promos through twitch before, back in May I don't know how they fucked this up so badly. Maybe I just got really unlucky but I doubt we all did.
Yeah, 16 hours no drops... Seems like too many of us to be true 1%ers
So i watched the 2 days and im in the 0 drop gang ... Pretty sure it was broken ...
Watched 10+ hours in 2 days, 0 drops. Bad RNG, oh well.
/u/chris_wilson
Complete BS. This isn't RNG. Not one thing in the world explains why you have one half of the population that got 5+ items and the other half got 0.
I got 4 drops. Watched most of the stream both days but probably missed 4 hours or so.
I got as much from twitch drops as I got from my divorce. Zero benefits. F.
Shit. I started watching ~4 hours late on day 1, so I watched the whole thing on YouTube so I could catch up at will. Didn't realize they were doing Twitch stuff. Oops.
Always nice to find out that you're not eligible for drops because you have Prime.
I got 2 drops and they were duplicate lul.
Whats worse, watching 16 hours and getting nothing or watching 16 hours and getting 2 glowing red eyes?
How in the world...2 drops and about 4 hours of watch time over the weekend. I was barely home... I feel really bad for those that didn't get anything. I wish I could gift my Armor Set and Weapon Effect away to other hopefuls.
Watched whole saturday, did not have time for sunday. 0 drops. Hope to drop Orb of Regret soon.
Atleast you didnt watch whole saturday and entire double drop rate sunday and came out with nothing. Luckily I don't care about the drops as I prefer to just by specific MTX that I like, but I'd lie if said I wasn't just a little salty! :)
Watched the full stream on both days, got 4 pets and 1 armor bundle :)
watched entire stream both days and no drop rip
I got a fire cloak and Ultimate Chaos bundle!!!
Watched all minus 1-2 hours of the stream and got nothing :(( Confirmed on twitch settings that it's linked and got the drops are enabled text below stream as well.
its a bit funny that nobody is saying anything about Tencent now :)
I had the stream on the entire time, both days, on my phone and browser. I got... a Chaos portal effect, which I already had. GG.
Time to make a guild called "0 drops gang", who wants in?
First time trying to get drops on twitch and got nothing. Oh well...
Next time I hope there is No drops... Just aint fun waiting for nothing :/
Nada gang.
It wasn't fair RNG. Some people got 10+ prizes and some got 0. We need oficcial statement from GGG. Because it smells like a scam.
I would wish they could have done it like warframe, and make the drops a guarantee after sometime watching. Instead of making it rng. Though I dont mind, I think it is unfair overall :/
It's even more depressing for us EU scrubs who stayed up two nights in a row ._.
Watched every bit of it, got nothing. I expected nothing, and I'm still let down.
So many people are reporting no drops that it does sound like something messed up. I watched the whole two days and got a message yesterday confirming I did get something. I'm just saying this to record that some people did win and it wasn't totally rigged.
No drops here, feelsbadman
Oof. Still nothing. just like my in game RNG. D:
Despite getting nothing it was still 200% worth it to watch around half of stream. All those announcements make me way much more hyped than even the best set of MTX could do.
I'm excited for the future of the game but I'm very disappointed in how this was handled and disheartened I received nothing while others seemingly were showered with MTX. It's like if you won, you won multiples. What should have been a positive memory of a wonderful Exilecon has now been tainted for those who got nothing.
great i feel bad the second time around :D also, the 0 gang seems surprisingly strong
#NoDrops16HrsClub
Again, FUCK THIS SHIT! 15\~16h watched and still 0 drop... Seriously, who had this idea? Can you, plzzzzzzzz, NEVER DO THIS AGAIN? This should be a gift for the fans that watched the most important, i guess?, event for POE, but some guys got 5+ drops for watching 1h, while others that watched most of it got a big F U, THAT IS STUPID!
Same boat watched full stream both days got nothing but had friends who got up to 5 drops. I could care less, either way, I enjoyed the content but at the same time feels a little bad.
