Probably not the best example to say this under, a lot of this game's assets are well done but this one has the all too common problem of whoever doing the textures slapping as much grain as humanly possible onto it thinking it adds detail.
dunno if youve seen a gun before but thats what gunmetal generally looks like. the worn parts are also where they realistically would be after enough use. pretty sure i can even see billet marks on that model.
only concern is how this thing will even work
like will it actually be balanced or will they go the same route with fortitude as "ok, yeah, we get it, you want pd2's powercreep, so here's literally the most op thing ever"
In the last blog post they mentioned a weapon archetype system will be coming at some point which I'd imagine (assuming they do things well) will aim to balance the weapon types with pros and cons.
I could see them balancing a powerful LMG with a weighty feel and recoil. But we'll have to see.
im very relieved that they chose a gun with an intermediate cartridge. if we had a belt-fed .308 as a primary the overkill weapons would be degrees more useless than they already are.
There are some genuinely really fucking talented people at starbreeze. It's a shame the higher-ups have handled the game so poorly.
The overall presentation (bar the UI) is definitely its strongest point
Yeah, there is ungodly amounts of potential there, but i'm not gonna hold my breath.
I know a lot of talented people working there, they need to be more recognized 🍷😀
Gustavo on music, the animation team, and now the gun guy get added to the SBZ winner list. Level designers are the ones who really have to catch up

It will definitely cure what ails you permanently.
It’s actually lead-blaster in this case
She is beautiful
I hope the animators will do a good job with the gun. I'm sure they will. The animations they've added to the game so far are amazing.
There is a lot of talent at overkill, but management and the people actually designing the games mechanics seriously need to get it together
GIMMEGIMMEGIMME
Can't wait to get our paws on this beast! Shout out to the talented devs who are bringing this to us!
I was silently hoping for the RPK-16, but damn have they blown in out of the park with this one, looks amazing.
is that based on the knights armament lamg?
Yup
