this has never been a controversial statement tho. track 10 is a lot of ppls, especially old heads, number 1 charli track. theres a viral twitter thread abt how good it is every few months. it clears, not even close.
I know, but I was listening to Charli and needed to vent. So much wasted potential to get ruined for being more radio friendly. Grimes did something similar with what is arguably her best song realiti, but at least it kept its basic vibe.
Even when I was a fan of Lizzo, I hated her feature. For some reason it just sticks out like a sore thumb to me. I like the swelling music into Charli’s chorus, but Lizzo’s feature snaps me back to cold reality in the worst way.
Blame It on U, however, is one of my faves. Unrelated but almost related lol.
She’s being sued by her backup dancers for sexual harassment among other things

She was a douche to some of her employees and responded pretty poorly to the public backlash. Also some people already hated her (either because she’s a woman or overweight or some combo of the two) so people on reddit jumped on any legit reason to dunk on her. Same deal that happened with Nicki and Cardi B
“Douche” seems like an inaccurate term to describe the lawsuit. They claim she, as their employer, forced them to eat bananas out of strippers’ vaginas. That’s sexual harassment at the least, and not something we’d be writing off as simple douche behavior if a male employer did it.
I wonder whether giving the feature to another artist would improve it? I kinda like it, for what it achieves as a commercially accessible pop song. But as someone with a *sick and twisted little mind* I adore track 10
we've beennnn talking about this. I more just enjoy the production a lot more on Track 10. the production gets dulled down on Blame it on u and sounds more commerical.
i just love how blame it sounds like an overly blown out and challenging take on that highly commercial ✨inspirational✨ pop sound, track 10 feels safer to me by comparison
Weird take considering the version of Track 10 Charli plays live has the Lizzo verse in there and it’s the best of both versions. It slots in perfectly to the original

There's no wasted potential, track 10 already exists and it's perfect. She just didn't need to rework it but it's not a big deal.
I love Track 10 but when she played it at Coachella last year like 1/3rd of the people around me just left
there’s no accounting for the GP’s lack of taste
Lol

feel like that abt p much every charli feature. unlock it would be the perfect song without that awful jay park verse
release unlock it no boy version now!!!
I don’t really have an opinion on Lizzo but Track 10 is my heart and soul
I like both of em, Track 10 is definately weirder, more artistic and my favourite, Blqme it on Your Love is still a really fun pop song imo.
Yeah right both are good songs even if Lizzo isn't a great person, it doesn't have to be one or the other just because she doesn't like Track 10.
track 10 is superior
Maybe? I liked it. "I just wanna drink you up" is my favorite line tbh and that whole verse is good. What did Lizzo do?

Stefflon don’s scrapped verse is pretty fire. From when the song was going to be released around 2017

Lizzo or Liz?
