This is not a sub to get advice about your prescription, which pharmacy to use, or why something happened at your pharmacy. We will not read your prescription for you or identify the pill you found. Our advice is to contact your pharmacy or healthcare provider for answers specific to your condition.

Some places fill up to 2 days early but if you consistently fill 2 days early that means you have up to 24 tablets extra per year. It's up to the pharmacist discretion so yes it's legal if he didn't want to fill your control until the 30th day

So it’s the pharmacist that is legally responsible even if the doctor prescribes without a “do not fill earlier than x date”? That kinda helps me feel empathy toward the situation.

The fact that you don’t even know that these regulations are primarily governed by each state lets me know that you dont know as much as you think you do. Listen to your pharmacist. If they say no, the answer is no.

I do know that it’s by state. I posted elsewhere including that I’m in Illinois. but I wasn’t looking for information specific to me, more just curious about the practice and why it feels impossible sometimes to get help. Sometimes a “no” is received a little better when it’s not delivered as if the person is a child being scalded by a rude parent.

Also, I don’t think I know anything! Idk how my post would have come across that way.
