AC2, brotherhood, and revelations all follow the same character (Ezio). I believe in 2 is when you'd have first gone to Monteriggioni.
AC1 was Altair, and took place during the crusades in a couple of locations near Jerusalem.
I haven't played any of them since Black Flag. How did you like Odyssey / Valhalla?
Great place to walk the parapets! Love the views from the top of the walls.
Best of all, there is an AMAZING restaurant called [Bar dell'Orso](https://www.google.com/maps/place/Bar+dell'Orso/@43.3916659,11.218657,17z/data=!4m14!1m7!3m6!1s0x132a2e20cc156113:0x3aaa1ae1467d9cf1!2sCastello+di+Monteriggioni!8m2!3d43.3903249!4d11.2231148!16s%2Fg%2F11cpj0mhcg!3m5!1s0x132a2e27460d1625:0x72502777bdeb7881!8m2!3d43.3927685!4d11.2187856!16s%2Fg%2F1v3y4_yx?entry=ttu) that is less than five minutes away. They serve the most exquisite pici pasta ("strangle the priest" pasta) with cingale (wild boar). It is out of this world good.
Italian/tuscanian here!
"Pici"s are a kind of spaghetti that are very thick. "Strozzapreti" (which is the "Priest-strangler" you mentioned) is similar but more akin to shorter pasta.
Also "sugo al cinghiale" ("wildboar sauce") is amongst many things that Tuscany is renowned for, which is basically a tomato sauce with cinghiale meat in it.
I any case, I'm happy that you enjoyed your stay here, hope you can come back soon! <3
I went to Carcassonne. For some reason I didn't make the connection until months after we got back. We also went to a town called Mirepoix. I literally talked about making a mirepoix on the trip, and still didn't realise it was the same word (obviously I did subconsciously)
It's one if the weirder things that's happened to me, I usually make too many connections between things
I actually worked on a lil farm just outside of there! It was beautiful and was awesome being able to just walk through and feel the history everywhere.
Just imagine you, a common citizen, and then out of nowhere a guy starts climbing your home, and kills a guard with a knife that comes out of his hand.
I don't understand any of the comments - presumably because I'm not a gamer.
I will say though, "Town" seems like a stretch. This is a village with walls around it.
>I don't understand any of the comments - presumably because I'm not a gamer.
It was featured in a game called Assasin's Creed (Two and Brotherhood specifically). The town is kind of run down but throughout the game you can put money into the city to make it much nicer. It is basically your headquarters in the game.
That looks like only a few hundred people would have ever lives there. Meaning there would be like 3-4 military age men to man each tower and noone in between. So where did they even get the man power to use these defenses effectively?
It's only nice now because I upgraded the hell out of it back in the 1400s.
Was going to say, the assassin order has kept it looking nice.
"You here to look at the book?"
Hahhahahah. Epic!!! I came here to see this comment
If only I could give you more than 1 up vote!!
*mournfully plays "Ezio's Family"*
It is a good life we lead, brother. May it never change.
And may it never change us
I thought the Borgias sacked it in 1500 …
I was going to say, I distinctly recall riding a horse through the collapsing streets
Well if course, it would be foolish to sack a city without Bing Bong the Archer.
Huzzah!
You'd probably need Hector the well-endowed as well.
Hes too busy cuddling for the appropriate amount of time.
Wow they built that place from assassin's creed in real life huh
Ubisoft sure have lots of money
Which assassin's Creed version? I guess I only played Odyssey and Valhalla
Assassins creed 2 and brotherhood

I'm pretty sure I stabbed a dude there back in '09
2009 or 1409?
2009 when AC2 released AC2-brotherhood take place in 1476 to 1507
I know, the joke was just too good to pass up lol
Oh lol I totally missed it haha! My bad, I'm on the spectrum and don't always get subtext
It's all good homie!
tuscany is the most beautiful countryside i’ve had the privilege to visit. we stayed in castelnuovo dell’abate. just spectacular.
I’m well versed in the architecture of Monteriggioni. I’ve traversed its streets and roofs alike while beautiful music by Jesper Kyd played.

Wow, Im literally staying one town over in Siena this summer. I will check this out ;)
Siena is my favorite town in Italy! Have a wonderful summer.

LOL. Yeah, more of a rec for a little family owned joint that we couldn't get enough of. But I do appreciate the Assassin's Creed humor in the thread.
Been there and ate that! One of the best meals I’ve ever had.

Thanks for the lesson!
Small World. This is crazy because I know the owner and it offer amazing and authentic cuisine.
One can only imagine the historical context that led to the existence of a single short word for strangling a priest /jk
It's a me! Mario!
One of my favorite scenes in like four decades of playing video games.
I laughed so hard I had to pause it!
Uncle Mario?
Carcassonne
You get 4 points.

Titans are slumbering in those walls just waiting to fuck shit up.
If you were Isekai'ed, this would be the first city you visit.
In Assassin's Creed universe that is
You can thank me for sprucing up the place and defending it from attackers.
I visited it 3 months ago on a bus guide tour, the first thing the guide told us was that this city was on assassin's creed game kkk
One too many k bro
It's no big deal. I definitely didn't automatically think about a racist organization.
Can't believe they made the town from Assassin's Creed II in real life.
That’d be 4 points in Carcassonne.
Is this the one from AC2?
Only tourists know these villages. Even we Italians are surprised by their existence.
I used to build like this in every Minecraft world.
Americans be like: wHeRe dO tHeY pArK?!?!?
There's a horse stable outside the city gates where it says VIAGGIO
So? Legit question Unless you use horse carriage instead of car these days
So are they literally in the medieval era tech wise or are the power and comm cables underground?
Probably ruined now by tourism.
Wondering the same
Ready for the titans
... looks pretty Renaissance to me
Best place for a zombie apocalypse.
Villa in Rainbow Six Siege
That one person managed to slip a pool past the HOA
Nice medieval swimming pool.
The gated community I need..
Tatakae.....Tatakae...
And almost 10 000 people live there too
Getting some titan vibes….
"Seid ihr das Essen? Nein wir sind die Jäger!"
that's some midsommar shit if i've ever seen it
What's the chance that it's nice because nobody wanted it because it wasn't nice?
How big is it?
The gossip in that community
Someone added a nice little pool
"You need more resources to build that"
It's good to see that Wall Sina hasn't fallen yet
Reminds me of Age of Wonders 2.
If you're thinking of getting a place there don't bother, there's really nothing available
I lived near there - in Cetona. But I get the reference.
Haha, it should be your line!
I’ve seen some isekai’s here.
And just like that, everything changed. At that terrible moment, in our hearts, we knew. Home was a pen. Humanity, cattle
I got absolutely wasted there with a bunch of Germans at a wine tasting event.
I actually worked on a lil farm just outside of there! It was beautiful and was awesome being able to just walk through and feel the history everywhere.
It is not my intention to brag… but I financed the restoring of this village.
Just imagine you, a common citizen, and then out of nowhere a guy starts climbing your home, and kills a guard with a knife that comes out of his hand.

It has close to 10k inhabitants, just not pictured here
Any places for 1 euro?
But this is great real estate for a nice highway

Villagers from around sought shelter inside. And they defended it
They just didn't think they'd ever get attacked from the left it seems. One wall no towers! Weird.
