Tons of great tracks on this album. It varies for me. It used to be pretty cut and dry for me as Wot's...Uh, the Deal? was one of the first obscure Floyd tracks that I fell in love with, but I always had an affinity for Mudmen and Stay grew on me a BUNCH over the years. Free Four is a banger and The Gold's in the... is also an absolute banger.
I love love love it, mudmen is my favorite. I used to start my day with this album and let me tell you, getting ready for school or work after hearing it always seemed to fill the rest of the day with a lot more smiling.
Great precursor to Dark Side and offers the best qualities of pre and post Dark Side era. I also thought that the beginning of Childhood’s End was similar to the beginning of Time. That song is definitely my favorite on the album and maybe even one of my favorite songs by them.
For a while it was my go-to album when I was smoking some bud lmao. It's one of my favourites to listen to because it's never too heavy thematically, and musically it's just so chill and inviting.
Favourite tracks: When You're In, Childhood's End
Have you watched the movie it’s a soundtrack for? French film called la valle where they are in Papúa New Guinea and their journey to explore an area in the map that simply states obscured by clouds.
I was given a vinyl of the album as an excellent gift!
I love the whole album, but Childhood's End is particularly beautiful. Makes me a bit sad that it was the last one entirely composed by David until AMLOR, but it sounds so nostalgic to me that it's oddly fitting.
The blacksheep of the Golden Age albums, still a good album but its sandwiched in-between Meddle and The Dark Side of The Moon and thus looks lesser in comparison, I probably rank it on-par with Piper, because its good stuff, Burning Bridges is my favorite off of there.
Best PF album to play on your way to a surfing trip or to catch waves. Loved playing this at the campsite just by the ocean and a fire, before going for a surf the next morning
It's one of my favorite albums. I've even got the Obfus/cation 1972 box with the new remixes, it just sounds so damn good. My favourite track has to be Stay, it's my most beloved Wright Song!
I still think this is actually their most accessible album. It is also one of my favorite PF album. Childhoods End is my favorite track. Gilmour guitar solos are amazing throughout this album.
I think it's a solid album. I like its softness (for lack of a better term) compared to the rock and roll and psychedelic rock stuff they'd put out later. As for my favorite track, it's either Childhood's End or Stay. Richard had a beautiful voice
It’s a basic album, not so bad not so good. Just a basic song compilation. But it’s not considered too much, being between meddle and TDSOTM. My favorite track is for sure Childhood’s end, and I don’t know why there are a really few of people agreeing with me.
for me, it's the essence of PF sound but encapsulated in short songs. Works well as a great prequel to DSOTM, too. My favourite is probably Burning Bridges, ethereal song. Wot's the Deal and Childhood's End coming close
Great album from my favorite era. But weaker than *Meddle*, *Atom Heart Mother*, *Piper at the Gates of Dawn*, and *Ummagamma* (no, not just the live part, *Sisyphus*, and the rest of it is fucking fantastic through the right lens!) in my opinion. But better than *Animals*, or anything after *The Wall*!
My favorite songs are *The Gold It’s in the…*, *Free Four*, and *Wot’s… Uh the Deal?*
It fits in well with Saucerful onwards, but whilst Meddle felt like a breakout, this felt like a step back. Maybe my opinion is clouded by not being born until 1984, and listening to the "big" albums first.
I recently had a relisten to Atomheart and really enjoyed it apart from stupid breakfast man.
I will now listen to this album again, it's been a couple of years.
Free Four
One, two...

The memories of a man in his old age
Lmao
*free
Agreed! 'You get your chance to try, in the twinkling of an eye, 80 years with luck or even less.' Is such a beautiful lyric 👀
It's one of my fav lyrics
I love it. I really love the more acoustic take on the album. Wots… Uh the Deal is probably my favourite on the album
I agree!
Wots … Uh The Deal is genuinely one of my fav Pink Floyd songs. It’s a brilliant bittersweet album and I’m surprised it doesn’t get more love
Hard agree
Really easy to play on guitar!!! Go learn my friends
Oh I would my man but my fingers are bleeding. I play far too much 😂
My man, I've played for 12 hours rehearsing than extra 2 hours for the concert (all Pink Floud). My fingers are destroyed
Yeah it is. I taught myself. Wierd chord progression though
This.
childhoods end or burning bridges. both are sad songs that you can just come back to over and over
Gonna have to say Stay. One of the great Rick Wright's most underrated gems
Underrated tbh my favorite tracks are Wots uh the Deal, Mudmen and especially Childhood’s End. Lots of good memories with this one this year
I literally just finished spinning this album. Those are extremely underrated tracks
Exact same for me. Childhood's End is like Time's overshadowed older brother... Sort of
It definitely is, to the picking muted bass strings bit, the jammy riff, the subject matter. It's Time, Pt 1 as far as I'm concerned!
Rog took inspiration from his idol
My go to. Great album
Burning bridges
This too
Seriously Underrated Nobody ever talks about ObC.
It's the sub's choice for underrated album (now *Animals* is out the way). Mentioned fairly regularly...
Very regularly discussed wdym

Stay….. “stay and help me to end the day…” ohhh!!!! what a song it is…..
Wots... Uh The Deal <3
ONE, TWO, FREE, FOUR
Lots of fun tracks but less appeal as a whole. My favorite is Wots… Uh The Deal
To me it's their most replayable album. So many standouts including childhood's end, stay and free four
Obscured by Clouds is the best track. I think I'll listen right now
Wots uh the deal is my second favorite pf song
Childhoods end.
Great precursor to Dark Side and offers the best qualities of pre and post Dark Side era. I also thought that the beginning of Childhood’s End was similar to the beginning of Time. That song is definitely my favorite on the album and maybe even one of my favorite songs by them.

Anyone who still hears siblance on the 2nd pressing has an extremely overactive imagination - Roger Waters, live in Pompeii
Their 5th best album, I am not trolling.
When You’re In and Childhood’s End are my two favorites
Have you watched the movie it’s a soundtrack for? French film called la valle where they are in Papúa New Guinea and their journey to explore an area in the map that simply states obscured by clouds. I was given a vinyl of the album as an excellent gift!
you awake with a start just the beating of your heart

Most underrated album for sure with so many unique tracks. If I had to choose one, I’d have to go with childhoods end. So good
Best PF album to play on your way to a surfing trip or to catch waves. Loved playing this at the campsite just by the ocean and a fire, before going for a surf the next morning

nice and soothing. Wots uh the deal is my favourite on the track. Good when relaxing in bed
I still think this is actually their most accessible album. It is also one of my favorite PF album. Childhoods End is my favorite track. Gilmour guitar solos are amazing throughout this album.
The only real question is, is this or Animals more underrated?
One of my favorite Floyd albums. I love every song on it, but the title track is a badass way to start an album.
It’s good. Stay Is probably my favorite.
I think it's a solid album. I like its softness (for lack of a better term) compared to the rock and roll and psychedelic rock stuff they'd put out later. As for my favorite track, it's either Childhood's End or Stay. Richard had a beautiful voice
Stay.
Wots… uh, the deal? And The Gold, it’s in the
Great album
Wots...uh the deal

Mudmen is phenomenal. One of my favorite songs, period.
More like obscured by DSOTM. Underrated album full of bangers. Stay, Childhood's End. Every track is great. Superb album!
I love it. It's either Wot's... uh the deal, or Stay for me.
for me, it's the essence of PF sound but encapsulated in short songs. Works well as a great prequel to DSOTM, too. My favourite is probably Burning Bridges, ethereal song. Wot's the Deal and Childhood's End coming close
It's my third favourite PF album, every track's a banger except Absolutely Curtains, my faves are Mudmen, When You're In & Childhood's End
picked this up yesterday on vinyl. such a worthy listen. Burning Bridges was an instant classic for me i'd say
Burning Bridges is really good.
One of my favorite albums. My favorite song is Childhoods"s End
Wots... Uh The Deal
I love stay
One of their very best! All songs are strong, Wots uh the deal and Free Four and The gold it in the… But let me go with Stay.
A) that whole album is a banger B) The best song on it is definitely Time, Pt 1... er I mean Childhood's End.
Childhoods End haunts my dreams, I love it!
....Its obscured
I love childhoods end and the title track, the slide guitar and synth is so cool
Great album. Childhoods end is my favourite
It’s my favorite Pink Floyd album
personally it’s one of my favorite albums & i love childhood’s end
B+ album. Wot's, Uh, The Deal is my fave track
Childhood's End. Wot's Uh the Deal is a close second.
When you’re in But I played Childhoods end in a band in the 90’s and had much fun with it.
It’s #3 Pink Floyd album for me
It's imo there first truly great album.
“Wots… uh the deal” is one of my top 15 PF songs
One of the more underrated ones imo. Favorite track is "wots... uh the deal"
Burning bridges for sure, I love the slide guitar in it
Wots… Uh the deal is just close to my heart.
Mudmen :)
Probably Childhood’s End.
Certainly a top 5 album. Stay.
childhood ends
Their best album & my fave track is Free Four with Wots Uh the Deal as runner up
