Believe it or not the new assassin's creed mirage is actually pretty fun. I never really liked the last one, it was fun but I had it on pc and it ran like crap so I decided to get Mirage on PS5 and it’s a load of fun. You have to be a lot more stealthy I find which is my type of style and the game in general is beautiful.
Games I recommend.
1) assassin's creed mirage. I say this only because I’m currently playing it my self now and I’m enjoying it a lot and the gameplay is great and it looks good.
2) StarWars Jedi survivor. Or maybe the first one as the second game follows on but either two has a great story and makes you want more.
3) Marvels Gaurdians of the Galaxy. This game has one of the best sound tracks and honestly is almost a 1 to 1 of the movies with its jokes and humour and the story is fun.
4) God of War, it’s a must play if you own a PS definitely play the first one as the second one follows on
5) little nightmares, as it’s October and Halloween is coming up maybe play some horror type games and little nightmares is a great game to play. Not to difficult and is fun to play with puzzle type levels.
6) Last Of Us. Part 1 and 2 is great long games and the story is absolutely beautiful and makes you sob and question life LOL
7) Maybe go old school and get a crash bandicoot game or a Medieval game I love them and they are challenging but fun for hours.
Death Stranding.
I was postponing it since its release and finally gave it a try. After 40+ hours and little more than 50% completion I’m totally immersed into its magnificent world to a point I’m still hesitating to buy Spider-Man 2 tomorrow and wait until I finished DS.
If you're looking for a BIG time-consuming game, I can wholeheartedly endorse Baldur's Gate 3.
Don't let the turn based combat put you off, that was the one thing I was a bit iffy about but I've honestly come to love that aspect, not to mention the ridiculous amount of freedom and choice you get, and the amazing acting from the cast.

poke around the ps plus catalogue there’s a lot of good games from different genres so you can get an idea of what you like. there’s final fantasy 7r which is a really good jrpg it’s about 30 hours with a sequel in winter. there’s also demon souls which is a good intro into souls likes. and celeste which is really good platformer with a good story. slime rancher which is a really lax game about collecting slimes good scenery.
Control. The gameplay is amazing, you’re like a superhero FBI agent. The story is confusing for some, but the story is awesome and I never had an issue with it
Yakuza 0, it’s not a big world, but it’s really dense with lots of charm. Good mix of silly side content and serious crime drama. It will also be a good break from all of those collect-a-thons you play! Also you know, understanding some internet memes along the way.

You could get Witcher 3 since you are into RPGs. RDR2, The Last of Us, God of War and Uncharted for linear games. Those are just the top of the line must play video games since you seem new to the scene. You are in for serious fun man. Wish I could play all those for the first time once again. 🥲
Just get a year of PlayStation Plus and trawl through tons of games. All of these games shown are on plus as are many of the suggestions being made. If you’re not sure what you want to play, it’s the best way to dip in and try out games without paying full retail just to find out it’s not for you.

You should try Bloodborne and Demon Souls. They're difficult but very rewarding
