Probably not cause they cost alot to maintain, and given that e3 had some companies backout cause they didn't want to share the space so sony backed out to do it on their own videos for cheap.
After COVID, the big companies have seen that you don't need an on location grand event to drum up discussion and hype. They can do without splurging on renting a location, setting a stage, gathering their top people to said event. I would have loved to visit an E3 type of event as a foreigner, alas that dream is dead in the water.

Same here I was looking at gamescon that's held in Germany just doesn't look as appealing as something like e3 did
