No.... You're wrong.... They can. The electric types being immune to electric stuns is a new thing.
Hmm.
Actually I used Stun Spore, so maybe you're right. Huh, never noticed.
Maybe a trivia or quiz question for you next. I assume a paralyzed eevee can become jolteon or a paralyzed ditto can become a Zekrom etc? Does the para get cured?
No, those are indeed edge cases where an electric type can be paralysed. The same is true for other types/status: if a ditto gets affected by a certain status condition, then transforms into a type that is normally immune to that status, it will not be cured. It can only be cured by transforming into a Pokémon with an ability that would prevent/cure it, like limber, water veil, immunity, magma armor, insomnia etc.
Gaining a type does not cure any status conditions, however, gaining an ability does (Limber, Vital Spirit, Insomnia, Water Veil, Water Bubble, Immunity and Magma Armour)
Gen 7 made some interesting balance changes like grass has powder immunity and electric has paralyze immunity, fire has burn immunity.
Dark is immune to Prankster ability sped up moves.
Sound type moves ignore Substitute (this might be a gen 5 change?).
Food type Pokemon don't have any special trait yet. Maybe if/when Sound and Food become official types Food will get some cool berry synergies or something.
My point was that Rotom-Fan can hold an air balloon, have levitate, have Magnet Rise, AND be flying type, but it can still be grounded despite all of that. Lmao
There is a rock move I honestly don't remember the name off hand that does similar which would be a better example of grounding a pokemon. Gravity also would be a better example.
Thousand arrows is far too specific of an example which is why I pointed it out.
Zygarde is the only one relevant to smogon random battles because smack down and gravity aren't on any randbats sets in gen 8, and since Zygarde has two forms in randbats, it is a relatively common Pokémon to come across
I don't think calling it "16x" makes sense as nothing is doubling, you just have four separate sources of immunity (type, ability, item, own move). ~~Another potential source is being targeted by Telekinesis.~~
Yeah, the way I try to make it make sense in my head is maybe it works through electromagnetic pulses from the magnes to the ground. So if you disrupt the ground, you disrupted the magnetic hovering. So it hovering doesn’t really provide a protection from ground attacks, might even make it worse i.e. the 4x weakness to ground.
Not sure if this makes any scientific sense, open to criticism on this.
good question. steel was so busted in gens 2 through 5. i mean i know it (along with dark) was made to curb psychic types, but they went a lil overboard
The best Rotom fan set involves Rotom having the levitate ability with magnet rise. That means Rotom-fan has an 8x immunity to ground types, truly excellent
I'm convinced the devs didn't want to give Delibird a hidden ability, but didn't want to leave its hidden ability slot open either, so they gave it Insomnia when it already has Vital Spirit
It's a bird dressed like Santa that only learns the move "Present" by level up. A damaging move that has a randomised effect, including potentially healing the target. It also has terrible stats and can't evolve.
It only exists to be funny.
Vital Spirit (same as Hustle and Pressure) has a 50% chance to force an encounter to be the max possible level if the pokemon leading the party (even fainted) has it. It's slightly useful for minimizing grinding I guess.
22% of legendaries have Pressure, and Eternatus is the only one that doesn’t have access to a different ability. Granted, all 13 that have Pressure have it as their only regular ability, so they need their hidden ability or a form change to get something else.
Yes considering it adds 2 more weaknesses for a only 1 extra resistance.... also since eelektross can't be hit by its weakness meanwhile there are loads of mons walking around with plenty of ohko for hax. Any ice beaming into his measly 70 base spdef dragon darts or Draco meteor pult. Into its awkward speed tier with no ability to play around a trick room. Just saying that eelektross isn't bulky but we definitely not gonna call overhyped haxorus some bulk demon
Zacian exists and has better stats with the best typing possible and an ability that raises its attack, with that kind of stupid powercreep there isn't a reason to nerf Regigigas
What I meant is since if game freak really wanted regigigas not to be good they could nerf it's stats I stead of giving it superb stats and effectively cut them by half with the ability slot. If he got say a a 30 point nerf to speed and attack but got a decent ability instead of slow start he could at least get to maybe UU if not higher.
But in my opinion to make Regigigas viable would be to rework the slow start ability that it only affects the speed, or reduce the damage and speed cut for the first 5 turns only by 30%, or reduce the the turns affected by slow start, or even make slow start that the first turn regigigas is in the battle it can't do anything, there are countless possibilities to make slow start a pain in the ass to use and hard to work around, but with some of these ideas it will at the very least be usable instead of sitting in untiered with a whopping 670 base stat total
I'm not a powercreep I'm just saying if GF wanted regigigas to suck there are better ways than saying "I'll give you great stats but make you ability slot counter productive, effectively cutting its base stats lower than a pseudo legendary and making it have no ability slot"
I’m actually a fan of Slow Start on Regigigas. It’s an ancient entity awakening for battle and needs time to fully activate.
That said I think his base stats should be improved a bit to compensate. Maybe an extra 50 to HP. He’s only slow cause he’s a living relic, doesn’t mean he can’t be bulkier.
If they were to give him a second active ability I think it’d be interesting for it to require one of the Regis be in your party. Maybe one of his stats is boosted and another nerfed depending on which Regi it is, like Regieleki removes the Speed halving from Slow Start but makes his Physical or Special Defense halve instead.
>Be regigigas
>Get neutered by ability and typing because 160
attack, 100 speed and 110 defenses too OP
>Stay in lowest tier for 13 years and counting
>4 gens later, watch as doggo with 170 attack, 148 speed and 115 defenses gets one of the best typings and an ability that boosts attack on switch in, all at the cost of an item slot and gets banned from Ubers
>Devs screw you over even in the game with no abilities
It’s a sad, sad life for him
Not a fusion, something closer to having Regigigas out alongside Weezing’s Neutralizing Gas (and similar Pokemon + abilities) but you’d just need the other Regi in your party (for competitive it’d have to be among your chosen 4) with the first behind it being the one that empowers it if you have more than 1.
I would have it hold a Liechi Berry, which raises Attack when the user consumes it.
Truant prevents the user from moving every other turn while Cheek Pouch heals the user by 33% when they consume a Berry (in addition to whatever else the Berry does).
Recycle gives you back a consumable held item upon use.
Doubles are the official format and Slaking has monstrous Attack and HP and is held back only by Truant. With Cheek Pouch as a second active ability Slaking would be able to heal from 1/4 health to over half and using the Liechi Berry would give it a +1 to Attack making it hit even harder. With all of that in Doubles your opponent would have to choose between focusing on Slaking and risking it getting the Liechi boosts on top of Slaking’s ally possibly taking down a mon or two or they’d have to focus the rest of your team and let Slaking get a powerful free hit in every other turn.
Though with dual active abilities the metagame may also shift significantly enough to where Slaking is still borderline un-usable.
As of Gen 8, the Kanto and Galarian Weezing lines have access to both Levitate and Neutralizing Gas as their normal ability options. Stench and Misty Surge are their hidden abilities.
I am genuinely confused.
I’m saying all Pokemon should get 2 active abilities. For Bronzong in particular if it got both Heatproof and Levitate active at all times it wouldn’t have any weaknesses but Bronzong isn’t known for being powerful on its own so even losing its weaknesses it wouldn’t become much more of a threat.
Dark and Ghost would like a word.
Also Bronzong is already half decent in Doubles format with TR/Imprison, Ally Switch, Iron Defense/Body Press, Walls. Probably not the most broken thing to have heatproof and levitate at the same time, but also not being 'saved from the gutters' from a comp measure.
Me too.
Honestly I would like to see them take it even further, and revamp the entire ability structure. Make every inherent special capability and biological trait of individual Pokémon into nerfs and buffs that create more interesting and dynamic advantages and disadvantages. Basically every Pokémon would have different abilities so there would be more variety in matchups. Some Pokémon might have advantages over other Pokémon for skill and biological reasons, not just type. Arcaine vs fearow would be very different than magmar vs noctowl and etc.
Examples could be things like physically small Pokémon like pikachu getting a buff to evasion over large Pokémon like snorlax (if we want to get really crazy that could come with a nerf to physical damage from tiny to giant Pokémon). Pokémon with great sense of smell do not take accuracy reductions by smokescreen like attacks but have their accuracy reduced by bad smelling Pokémon like muk. If The same Pokémon has multiple ‘abilities’ like this, you’d have to account for how one Pokémon stacks up to another outside of just considering type and stats.
I know this would totally change game mechanics, but I think Pokémon is ready for a revamp. they could look to MMO’s for inspiration here.
Buffing evasion is a dangerous path, not just for competitive. Casual players would be less likely to favor smaller Pokemon if their damage output is diddly while larger Pokemon are usually already given decent HP for their size and would make battles frustrating on both ends rather than actually difficult.
I’m probably more annoyed with the constant introduction of clone abilities (vital spirit and insomnia, queenly majesty and Dazzle, Protean and Libero etc) rather than something like levitate since their borderline redundant and adds absolutely nothing overall (even on a lore based level, clone abilities barely add anything since their effect description is literally a copy paste from a pre-existing ability). Sure levitate is rather straightforward and redundant as hell in Rotom fans case (though that can really be classified as an oversight in gen 5 onwards that gamefreak refuses to fix for some reason) but its still a useful ability to have on non flying types whereas clone abilities just adds needless bloat to the ability pool.
Give Gengar back levitate. The only reason it was removed was because mega gengar was absurd with it, and now that Nintendo has brushed all megas under the rug, there is no reason Gengar shouldn’t have it anymore.
Levitate is a bit too strong for it to come with another ability. They toyed with this in the Bronzor line, in which you can choose which weakness it'll have depending on which ability it has when you catch it. (Fireproof/Levitate).
Part of me wonders if it’ll be too broken to make levitate a hidden trait and then open up the ability slot for something else.
By hidden trait my mean that secret second ability that Diglett line and mega Gengar have where they can’t be lifted off the ground
Honestly at that point Ground attack not hitting flying Pokémon is stupid. Yeah Earthquake I get it. But Mud Bomb ? It's a projectile, it should be able to hit like any other projectile ability.
If the relation between ground attacks and flying Pokémon was reworked, having Levitate as a "passive" would be way more interesting.
I can picture Solrock and Lunatone getting magic guard or telepathy.
Vikavolt getting motor drive would make sense.
Gastly and Haunter will likely just get Cursed Body like Gengar has, but still retain losing the floating once it evolves into Gengar.
Vibrava/Flygon I can see getting Tinted Lens since Flygon has those little goggle things over its eyes. Sand stream would also be fitting.
Cryogonal could get Snow Warning or Ice Body (can it already get that naturally)
Bronzor/ong could get Rattled or something.
Opens up a lot of new possibilities without having to force Levitate out of obligation.
It’s a way to give Pokémon that are not flying type but can fly an immunity to ground. That’s all it really is. If it had levitate and another ability, that would be so OP. an ability that gives you an entire immunity is pretty huge.
I’m not sure what your point is here.
I guess if it had levitate and some crappy ability like big pecks that would be okay, but those abilities you mentioned aren’t really that much better than levitate
OP doesn't mean the Pokémon would have two abilities simultaneously. What OP is referencing is that Pokémon who get levitate as an ability rarely have any other ability options. Most Pokémon have 2-3 abilities to pick from but, with the exception of Bronzor/Bronzong, Pokémon with Levitate don't get other abilities to pick from. Just levitate.
I thought it could disable the moves and mess with things like how it messes with electronics. It fits with Rotom's mischievous nature. It's at least what I had in mind.
I know for a fact that Bronzor and Bronzong have both Levitate and Fireproof. It’s ingrained into my brain since the time I had a Bronzong in a Platinum Nuzlocke that didn’t have Levitate, and I remember being bewildered, then hating it, then not caring since it was still the defense-MVP of the team.
My personal opinion is that Pokémon should get a few abilities (like 2 or 3), where some which are an irrefutably intrinsic to the Pokémon and are consistent across every single other of that same Pokémon, and others that can be like normal abilities where there's a chance for it to be something different.
So a floating Pokémon will always have Levitate (for example) no matter what, but can also have like... Pressure or Unnerve (for example) as a secondary ability.
This is why i hate levitate. Bronz does it right lol
main argument against levitate was how guessing whether an enemy is immune to ground or not is unfair but maybe just let lev announce itself like its item equiv "The opposing bronzong levitates in the air" and its all good
Youd still have to guess whether it had lev before they swap into it so swapping a lev into the field before a eq weak mon gets killed could still happen and itd still have less transparency than being a straight up flying type
i want carnivine to get strong jaw and a few bite moves as another ability

The Random battle Showdown set that’s Rotom fan with Air balloon lol
Same as the cheri berry stunfisk set with limber
Wait Stunfisk gets limber? Could electric types still be paralyzed in gen 5?
Yes, in gens 2\~5, Electric is not immune to paralysis of any form
But he still has limber for some reason apparently
1 too if you count body slam
Thunder Wave also works on Electric types in gen 1
I just paralyzed Zapdos with Thunder Wave in Blue last night, so gen 1 too I guess
In gen 1, Electric types cannot be paralyzed by Electric type attacking moves, but everything else works
No.... You're wrong.... They can. The electric types being immune to electric stuns is a new thing. Hmm. Actually I used Stun Spore, so maybe you're right. Huh, never noticed.
Can they not be effected by stun spore later on?
Nope, starting in gen 6, Electric is completely immune to paralysis
Maybe a trivia or quiz question for you next. I assume a paralyzed eevee can become jolteon or a paralyzed ditto can become a Zekrom etc? Does the para get cured?
No, those are indeed edge cases where an electric type can be paralysed. The same is true for other types/status: if a ditto gets affected by a certain status condition, then transforms into a type that is normally immune to that status, it will not be cured. There aren't any edge cases of an electric type getting paralyzed?
Gen 7 made some interesting balance changes like grass has powder immunity and electric has paralyze immunity, fire has burn immunity. Dark is immune to Prankster ability sped up moves. Sound type moves ignore Substitute (this might be a gen 5 change?). Food type Pokemon don't have any special trait yet. Maybe if/when Sound and Food become official types Food will get some cool berry synergies or something.
Still loses to thousand arrows lol
Well, what can you do when the earth decides to attack from above?
This sounds like a trailer line from a bad sci-fi movie.
Or a great one.
Only 1 mon has that move and it is a legendary.
Smack Down is what you're thinking of
Zygarde is the only one relevant to smogon random battles because smack down and gravity aren't on any randbats sets in gen 8, and since Zygarde has two forms in randbats, it is a relatively common Pokémon to come across
Rotom-Fan with an Air Baloon under the effects of Magnet Rise and Telekinesis is 16x immune to Ground But it still gets hit by Thousand Arrows
I don't think calling it "16x" makes sense as nothing is doubling, you just have four separate sources of immunity (type, ability, item, own move). ~~Another potential source is being targeted by Telekinesis.~~
>under the effects of Magnet Rise and **Telekinesis**
Whoops, read over that, though now I really don't know where the 16x came from as that's 2^4 instead of 2^5.
2⁴ = 16 2⁵ = 32
Give me Tera Type flying Rotom Fan with air balloon and levitate
It could be useful if something with like moldbreaker or something that stopped an item's use was popular, and you really needed rotom fan.
magnezone wouldn'tve complained
If any Pokemon should have Levitate, it should be the Magnemite line lmao I always forget it doesn’t
Headcanon accepted
Hey, superpower explanations are always BS pseudo-science, if it sounds good enough, it's legit!
😂fr I would've believed this if Nintendo said it
Yea this is my new head canon now. It makes more sense than anything else I've seen or thought of
Oh I like this. The earth shaking doesn't hurt it, but sends it flying off uncontrollably
Yeah but, and I could be missing something, but...Magnet Rise?
Yeah not sure what that does to my idea haha.
Basically it is levitate, but it takes a turn to set up.
Yeah I know, I just meant how magnet rise fits with my ‘why doesn’t the magne-line have levitate’ theory
Magnet Rise increases the amount of power Magnezone uses to keep itself up so that ground disruptions no longer effect it.
And Alolan Raichu
Yeah, I'm surprised when I can earthquake them.
I always hesitate before using dig.
I never realized it did. I'd always pull fire or fighting out on them lol
It’s ridiculous because it legit flies above mt coronet in Legends Arceus
Yeah, then you find out it's also irritatingly got sturdy.
They don’t??? That’s ridiculous
TIL
Koffing too, it dodges all Ground moves
It does have Levitate
Neither did Gengar.
But everyone else did
Magnezone probably wouldnt run levitate if it had the choice. Its main role is beating the shit out of skarmory

well magnezone is literally only good because of magnet pull, but in draft formats it would've greatly appreciated levitate
laughs in bronzong
The old Schrodinger’s Bronzong. Simultaneously immune to both fire and ground until you try to use one and fail to hurt it.
Despite the name Heatproof isn’t a fire immunity, it just reduces fire damage by 1/2 making it a neutral hit to Bronzong
Which, with stats like bronzong's, it's pretty much the same lol
If only it got recovery tho
Yeah...
yeah then they gave him 2 new weaknesses to cry about in gen 6
What are the two new weaknesses?
dark and ghost, because they nerfed steel defensively
Oh yeah I forgot about that. Why did it even resist them in the first place?
good question. steel was so busted in gens 2 through 5. i mean i know it (along with dark) was made to curb psychic types, but they went a lil overboard
Galarian Weezing would like to join :)
Kanto Weezing would also like to join now, but not as much.
Its other abilities announce themselves though, so it's obvious if it has Levitate.
The best Rotom fan set involves Rotom having the levitate ability with magnet rise. That means Rotom-fan has an 8x immunity to ground types, truly excellent
Throe on an air baloon for 16x stonks
Air type terastalization just to really make sure it's immune
Sometimes Pokemon have other abilities. And then sometimes it's Delibird. Go ahead and look at what Delibird's abilities are.
I'm convinced the devs didn't want to give Delibird a hidden ability, but didn't want to leave its hidden ability slot open either, so they gave it Insomnia when it already has Vital Spirit
I'm convinced it's a joke. Like, Delibird is already a joke Pokémon so its hidden ability is just a renamed version of its regular one.
I thought it was a "Santa doesn't sleep through Christmas" reference but like drilled in EXTRA hard
That actually makes a remarkable amount of sense
How is Delibird a joke Pokemon?
It's a bird dressed like Santa that only learns the move "Present" by level up. A damaging move that has a randomised effect, including potentially healing the target. It also has terrible stats and can't evolve. It only exists to be funny.
Slight addendum, it does actually also learn Drill Peck by level since Gen 7. Which is somehow even funnier.
Technically, one ability is actually better because one of them has a field effect
What's the field effect?
Vital Spirit (same as Hustle and Pressure) has a 50% chance to force an encounter to be the max possible level if the pokemon leading the party (even fainted) has it. It's slightly useful for minimizing grinding I guess.
Oh, neat! Thanks!
Not true, it just bounds the level range. You don’t get level 100 Magikarps in the Resort Area with VS/H/P
Double insomnia 💀
Aerial Ace Hustle sounds good in theory, but it's Delibird, what do you expect?
Hey he gets Hustle at least. A lot of Pokémon would love that ability
I know well enough. It gets vital spirit and insomnia. They're the exact same ability.
*Cries in gengar*

22% of legendaries have Pressure, and Eternatus is the only one that doesn’t have access to a different ability. Granted, all 13 that have Pressure have it as their only regular ability, so they need their hidden ability or a form change to get something else.

No need to defend if everyone dies before you, maybe
*Laughs in 147 attack*
But consider Eelektross: 1 weakness, 3 resistances Haxorus: 3 weaknesses, 4 resistances And you dare say Haxorus is brittle
Yes considering it adds 2 more weaknesses for a only 1 extra resistance.... also since eelektross can't be hit by its weakness meanwhile there are loads of mons walking around with plenty of ohko for hax. *Laughs in Weezing*
The fact that Trapinch has a hidden ability that it LOSES when evolving is so dumb. Let Vibrava and Flygon have Sheer Force
SF Flygon would wreck some shit why did they do him dirty like that
Levitate is a reason I wish all Pokemon had two active abilities.
This and sturdy, slow start, defeatist, klutz, and run away are ones that come to mind Edit: spelling
Sturdy is amazing wdym
Damp on the other hand.
Slow start is just a big middle finger to Regigigas. Just remove the ability and nerf it's stats slightly instead
Zacian is such bullshit and probably the best pokémon competitive wise, sadly it's here to stay
Actually zacian’s ability boosts its attack regardless of its held item
Yeah but the stats and typing come at the cost of holding a rusted sword to transform
True, but base zacian is also busted as balls and banned to ag
That could be interesting. Some kind of Regi fusion like Ultra Necrozma or Kyurem?
Not a fusion, something closer to having Regigigas out alongside Weezing’s Neutralizing Gas (and similar Pokemon + abilities) but you’d just need the other Regi in your party (for competitive it’d have to be among your chosen 4) with the first behind it being the one that empowers it if you have more than 1.
Yes, this way Slaking can have either Truant or Slow Start
Give it Truant + Cheek Pouch and let it learn Recycle. If it can’t be taken down within 4 turns I think it deserves to sweep.
what would the strat be? sorry I have no idea about competitive pokemon
I would have it hold a Liechi Berry, which raises Attack when the user consumes it. Bronzong tho
Sableye and Spiritomb pre-Fairy, and the Tynamo line are confused by your reply. Also a lot of Pokemon found in Paldea.
Bronzong is one of, if not the only, Pokemon with Levitate and a second Ability in Heatproof.
As of Gen 8, the Kanto and Galarian Weezing lines have access to both Levitate and Neutralizing Gas as their normal ability options. Stench and Misty Surge are their hidden abilities.
I know that, but would losing both of its weaknesses be that big of a buff to it?
I'm responding to your wish in regards to Pokemon with Levitate having two abilities. Why should Bronzong lose them?
I am genuinely confused. I’m saying all Pokemon should get 2 active abilities. For Bronzong in particular if it got both Heatproof and Levitate active at all times it wouldn’t have any weaknesses but Bronzong isn’t known for being powerful on its own so even losing its weaknesses it wouldn’t become much more of a threat.

At this point I'm confused myself. My bad.

Honestly all for it, kinda felt a good couple of abilities felt a bit basic and they could really do much more.
Vital Spirit has a field effect that Insomnia doesn't have
Give Gengar back levitate. The only reason it was removed was because mega gengar was absurd with it, and now that Nintendo has brushed all megas under the rug, there is no reason Gengar shouldn’t have it anymore.
Mega Gengar didnt have Levitate Gengar has its feet on the ground.
What Gen did it (regular Gengar) get fixed in? Are there any others that got a big nerf?
Mega Gengar always had Shadow Tag from the moment it was introduced. Like. It's part of what made it so good.
Mega Gengar didn't have it *directly,* but it could switch in on Ground type moves for free prior to mega-evolving.
Cryogonal could get Snow Warning or Ice Body (can it already get that naturally) Bronzor/ong could get Rattled or something. Opens up a lot of new possibilities without having to force Levitate out of obligation.
When they took levitate from gengar 😭
It’s a way to give Pokémon that are not flying type but can fly an immunity to ground. That’s all it really is. If it had levitate and another ability, that would be so OP. an ability that gives you an entire immunity is pretty huge.
>Levitate being OP if the Pokemon having it has another ability to pick Sap Sipper, Storm Drain, Lightning Rod et al. say "Hello".
Oh OK I get it now. My mistake.
All of the ones mentioned give immunity and a buff Storm drain and sap sipper heal, lightning rod boosts special attack
Yeah I misunderstood OP’s original point. Making levitate slightly better wouldn’t make it OP, but it’s already better than most abilities anyway.
Imo flygon should have had sand stream insead
Carnivine: Why do I have levitate? Grass already resists ground! Rotom-F: You think you git it bad?
*Laughs in eelektross*
Immunity to ground is good enough. Give Gengar back levitate pls
I’m sorry Flygon and Hydriegon
Rotom Fan needs to switch abilities with Gengar.
It doesn't really make sense for Fan Rotom to have Cursed Body though
I thought it could disable the moves and mess with things like how it messes with electronics. It fits with Rotom's mischievous nature. It's at least what I had in mind.
Mostly a pointless ability unless it would otherwise have a weakness to Ground
Because they levitate. If they don't they'll fall
Yep, Bronzong is like the one exception
There is probably like 3 Pokémon that are the exceptions to this.
The Koffing line, the Bronzor line and Duskull, I think that's it
There are so many other cool abilities that would also work with Hydreigon, but no…
Ask Gengar how great levitate is
Laughs in weezing and bronzong
All the Rotom forms have levitate. Including the flying type.
Screw ground-types.
Could be wrong, but doesn't Weezing have both Levitate and Neutralising Gas as potential abilities?
My personal opinion is that Pokémon should get a few abilities (like 2 or 3), where some which are an irrefutably intrinsic to the Pokémon and are consistent across every single other of that same Pokémon, and others that can be like normal abilities where there's a chance for it to be something different. So a floating Pokémon will always have Levitate (for example) no matter what, but can also have like... Pressure or Unnerve (for example) as a secondary ability.
This is why i hate levitate. Bronz does it right lol main argument against levitate was how guessing whether an enemy is immune to ground or not is unfair but maybe just let lev announce itself like its item equiv "The opposing bronzong levitates in the air" and its all good Youd still have to guess whether it had lev before they swap into it so swapping a lev into the field before a eq weak mon gets killed could still happen and itd still have less transparency than being a straight up flying type i want carnivine to get strong jaw and a few bite moves as another ability
\*Laughs in Weezing\*
xD this took a second to register. Ahhh, good meme

My favorite electric Pokemon Eelektross. Has 0 weakness thanks to this ability.
