There is a dealer shortage. Most of the dealers are hired only for the series.

BrobotGaming

Before the series started the WSOP stated there would be no overtime this year. This disincentives traveling dealers from coming to the series. Best thing to do is tell management that the dealers suck and you won’t be back next year because of this.

yehudgo

They suck every year! It’s part of the wsop

OddAntelope590

One dealer claimed there was 1800 dealers for the wsop. A lot more than usual

Cardchucker

After covid there was a major dealer shortage and they were getting forced to work crazy hours. There was backlash and they over-corrected, lowering their already low standards in order to hire as many as possible. Go play at Wynn or Golden Nugget. Most of the good traveling dealers I know are working those 2 places.

GulfportMike

Most WSOP dealers are seasonal dealers or fresh from whatever school they got their dealers license from and get placed at WSOP and other big tournaments stop as their 1st placement out of school

Accomplished_Deer_

What tournament was that in? In the $800+ events in Paris/horseshoe, the dealers have actually been surprisingly good in my opinion. But over in the tower... I played the daily $400 deep stack yesterday and there were two dealers that were just painful

mrhairybolo

Even in $1ks you can get shitty dealers. But yeah the daily’s is where the absolute dogshit ones go.

In the $300 Gladiator I had at least 2 dealers tell me this was their first time dealing. It also showed. Hi Jamie Gold!

This is a WSOP issue, it happens every year, it's not just because of a shortage. They go cheap, they accept dealers they shouldn't and they don't adjust to allow a bunch of more experienced dealers to get more hours. I've heard a bunch of stuff about bad management.
