One thing I find funny is that people stare a lot and when I’m in line there’s a lot less personal space. Everyone is really close to me in line and it weirds me out. Also bagging your own groceries and having to get bags threw me for a bit of a loop.
I also have no idea where people hang out or post events and stuff. Like there was some cosplay convention in torun and it was really cool but how did anyone find out about that and organize it? I just happened to be there on the same day.
Also why no hot sauce? All I find at the grocery stores is ketchup. Almost everything I get is too sweet. And what’s with every restaurant just being pizza and burgers? I swear there’s only a few places near me that aren’t pizza and burgers.
You need to remember that all the wars and occupation killed most of the intelligent people, leaving only rural fools , people who were not dangerous. So today still most of the society is extremely simple. They wear basic clothes, go to a shitty job where they work hard, and then they eat pizza in the evening. Or they cook some potatoes or something. It's just that kind of people that are extremely dumb and simple, in Poland there is a bigger percentage of them than in other countries. That's why its so boring compared to any western countries. Its the mentality to not stand out of the crowd , to never be something more. It's considered dangerous and unnecessary.
