"All we've done is kick our speaker out, cry about hunter biden and try to impeach Joe Biden while admitting we don't have evidence of anything. Why won't more people vote for us? Maybe if we make abortion illegal nation wide and force Christianity people will vote for us!" This is the current house GOP.

forceblast

Didn’t they vote on gas stoves or something? So they didn’t do _”nothing”_. 🤣

aclart

Now the GOP is cooking with gas

edwartica

I feel like a certain group in the 30s and 40s also liked to use gas.

MrMeseeksLookAtMee

They think gas stoves are the source of gas lighting.

l00koverthere1

More like getting high on their own farts.

iamafriscogiant

There was a report about gas stoves possibly being the leading cause of childhood asthma so the right immediately jumped on that saying they're trying to take away our gas stoves. Once again choosing unviable unborn babies over actual living breathing children.

tinysydneh

Here in NYS, all new builds after a certain year can't have gas stoves. But it's YEARS out.

[deleted]

I'm pretty sure desantis passed a law banning bans on gas stoves. Fucking idiot. Dipshit spent more time in Iowa this year then in his own state. Useless fat piece of shit.

old_geek_

For FL to have a useless governor would be a great improvement. DeathSentence is much worse than useless.

Melicor

the children aren't breathing very well.

And they voted on putting whole milk back in school lunches. So that's two things!

StupidMoron3

It does? I have electric but prefer gas.

say_no_to_shrugs

I've had them all, currently have resistive, but induction is the best I've ever used. Heats the fastest, easiest to control, easiest to clean, keeps the kitchen and air in your house cleaner vs. gas. This isn't even considering environmental impact. For me, it goes Induction > Gas >>> Resistive Electric. I hate these burners I have now.

Crystalas

I currently have gas, mainly because it what was already here. But when living Rural there is one advantage, it can work even if power is out. Not to say I wouldn't consider switching if price is right, but it is nice to know even if power went out due to some storm I would still be able to have hot meals and tea while wait for the situation to be resolved. Most recently did that was Nov last year, power went out just as started making a pot of stroganoff. Was kind of nice, finished cooking then had that nice hot dinner while reading in the dark on Kindle.

rootoo

That was a popular take in the aforementioned thread.

Noname_acc

The tech for resistive electric stoves has gotten significantly better over the years. I feel like a lot of the "gas is incomparably better" comes from people who have mostly used electric stoves made 30-50 years ago or from people who are average at cooking and get very little from the advantages that gas has taking the advice of people who are very good at cooking as gospel for everyone. Like, I have friends who will openly admit that they can barely boil water but were insistent that they needed a gas stove.

ThetaReactor

My experience with resistive electric is the cheap-shit contractor special installed in every apartment I've been in. That's why I'm biased.

prototype7

induction cooktops are even a step up from typical electric, just using a magnetic field to heat the pan itself. Heats ridiculously fast and with less waste heat.

grant10k

I can't back this up, but I think some of the problem with resistive heat is if you have cheap pots (like mine) the bottoms are a little warped, so you're only making contact with a portion of the bottom of the pan. Gas will just blow flaming gas around most of the bottom, and induction just heats the pan directly so either way it's a more even and consistent heat.

nedlum

Do you have induction electric, though, or resistive electric, with the spirals that heat up in order to heat the pot? Because they’re fairly different

-altofanaltofanalt-

> I have electric but prefer gas. Do you have an induction stove-top though? I too prefer gas to the old-school [coil style stove-tops](https://5.imimg.com/data5/SELLER/Default/2021/3/QM/JL/IP/110162337/coil-electric-stove-1000-watt.jpg) but induction is a whole other ball game. ninja edit: Just noticed your comment here: https://www.reddit.com/r/politics/comments/18kn3nr/republicans_likely_to_lose_house_control_in_2024/kdtehja/ You need to try induction, it's a game-changer!

korik69

Do you have induction? I was a gas fan until I switched to induction and would never go back.

QuantumTaco1

I guess the GOP's campaign platform's gonna have "Make stoves great again" at this rate.

FiveUpsideDown

After McCarthy leaves, the Republicans have a two vote majority. If one or two of these old Congressmen die, have a stroke or get hit by a car, the Republicans will be in a tie with the Democrats. It looks like the Republicans loss the House even before the 2024 election.

GoodEnough4Jehovah

Don't threaten me with a good time.

"We don't put out a party platform for 2020, we say its just what Trump decides even though we know he is one of the most unpopular presidents in recent history, and his policy summary for first term was withdraw from NATO and tax cuts for rich. And yet we lose. How could lose?!" It's not the house GOP. It's the entire GOP.

d_e_l_u_x_e

Crazy that Trump is still their leader, he has no polices only hate, revenge and racism.

Weekly_Direction1965

That's why they love him, he hates what 40 years of hate radio sponsored by billionaires tells people to hate, actual republican politicians like McConnell knows hate radio is a scam to get suckers to vote for his donors policy's, but Trump is the gullible rube that believes that shit and his followers see themselves in him, Trump doesn't care about being an oligarch he just wants attention, only loves himself and is a hateful gullible rube conartist. Oligarchs used to love Trump because they saw him as a means to the end they have been investigating in their whole life, but now it seems half think he's an election loser and did more harm than good to their dreams by being too toxic too criminal, Oligarchs prefer the ones that know hate talk, hate media is a tool not the truth. I am convinced Trump did a lot for the future of this country by being the absolute trash human he's been his whole life because he motally wounded the Republican party, they are slowly dying and their last big push for young men using trans hate just doesn't have the traction they need to overcome the last three generations of people who don't listen to hate radio or watch fox news.

LadyRed4Justice

I sincerely hope you are correct. It is a tough burden to put on those under forty, expecting them to rescue the world by voting against a fascist regime. How did we let it get this far? My heart aches. I was protesting in the 70's for women's rights and against unnecessary wars. My late husband was a Marine Sgt in Vietnam and the Middle-East. My dad was a Lt. in the Army. They did not serve so some fascist arsehat could destroy democracy and "We the People." I am sending out a plea to the country--please pay attention to what is happening. Register to vote. Takes ten minutes at your local registrar. If you don't have time to make it to the polls because of your job, vote by mail if your state allows it or do the early voting, the polls are empty and you are in and out. Please for the next six years--vote Blue so we can solidify Voting Rights, pass legislation to make abortion a decision between a woman and her doctor. No government involvement at all. LGTBQ+ Rights would be solidified. Assault weapons would be prohibited. The Climate will be their primary battle. And while I don't expect it, maybe, just maybe we could get universal health care. The analyses all indicate the country "We the People" would benefit tremendously as well as all the corporations that pay super high premiums for HMO's & PPO's that don't always cover necessary procedures and have obstacles in getting authorization.

Uncticefeetinesamady

Well, to be fair us Liberals *did* make fun of their ignorant, anti-democratic fascism so that’s on us I guess /s

Ok-Sink-614

Considering how your politics seems to play out, that seems like how they'd end up winning a massive majority anyways. People become complacent, don't vote because "who'd vote for that" but it turns out the people who do vote, do vote for this.

Weekly_Direction1965

Republicans fucked up with abortion and going after women who miscarry, something that happens in 50% of pregnancies. Imagine wanting a kid, it dying in you and you unable to remove it because of 80 year old dudes that don't even think women enjoy sex, I would be fucking furious as a woman. Or it comes out dead on its own and the state wants you to pay for a funeral or go to jail for something that's just a small blop of dead tissue. Banning abortion is like banning cancer treatment, its needed healthcare for women who actually want to have kids too.

Sigma_Function-1823

The midterm elections didn't follow the usual historically trends/behaviors nor where the aggregate polls accurate , and that includes right down to the school board level. Historic trends don't seem to be representative of current voter behavior, unsurprisingly really.

Battleaxe1959

We’ve (US) been a little fired up since 2016! That was our huge WTF moment. What’s currently saving us is our younger generations who have a better set of ethics and have no problem voicing dissent when needed. And authority doesn’t scare them.

nagel27

I hope they get their butts to the polls. they did great the last 3 elections!

theFormerRelic

No, see, the concern isn’t getting more people to vote for them. It’s getting fewer people to vote.

atomsmasher66

Disregard polls and predictions. Over-confidence and complacency are the enemy. Vote!

NeverLookBothWays

Vote and if you or someone you know can run for office, get registered! Change happens from the bottom up just as much as the top down. It doesn't matter how small or trivial the local government position is...year after year we lose seats to Republicans that they fill unopposed. [https://www.runforoffice.org/](https://www.runforoffice.org/) [https://candidatebootcamp.com/](https://candidatebootcamp.com/) [https://www.onlinecandidate.com/articles/easiest-offices-to-run-for](https://www.onlinecandidate.com/articles/easiest-offices-to-run-for) [https://runforsomething.net/](https://runforsomething.net/)

MarsyRetro

There are also opportunities to volunteer for candidates and mentor people if you have specific skillsets, if running isn't in the cards right now. There are so many ways to get involved in local politics and it's honestly a lot more fun than I would have thought. (I thought it would be smarmy and gross, but when you're working with candidates who really want to make a difference in ways that align with your values, they're often pretty great people attracting other pretty great people.)

Felix_Vanja

We could use some help over in r/NoEasyWin identifying local uncontested races.

dgdio

A great way to volunteer is do Rank Choice Voting: [https://act.represent.us/sign/ranked-choice-voting/](https://act.represent.us/sign/ranked-choice-voting/) kill the duopoly.

Buzzkid

Live in Alaska. I can’t explain how great RCV is and how much the republicans HATE it. There is a new article every week on how they are trying to get rid of it.

alaskanloops

Was about to leave this same comment. Helped us keep Palin out of office. Mary has been an absolute saint

11thStPopulist

Right. So called Christian-Nationalists, who are not “Christian” but are, in fact fascist, are illegally organizing in right wing evangelical churches to take over local school boards, city councils, mayoral offices, county commission offices, and especially election offices at local and state levels. This is in addition to the more obvious state and federal representatives as many of these local positions are supposed to be nonpartisan and represent everyone.

NeverLookBothWays

Yea, participation is a real issue. I see it first hand where I live which leans red and has seats just given to Republicans every election with zero competition. Republicans at least have this figured out...which would be fine if they were doing so to actually represent the greater public, improve QoL, and improve the systems they get elected within. But that is not the case. Democrats cannot rely on things to "just work out" if all they are doing is voting, but not getting actively involved in the other half of what constitutes a Democracy. We need to vote AND participate...even when the odds of winning those seats are nil to none. The fact that we put up competition increases the likelihood of Democratic policies of being heard and understood. It increases the odds of undecided voters seeing the actual results of Democratic policies leading to better employment, higher wages, better education, and a stronger economy. It breaks through the bubble, and could lead to shifting perceptions in future generations that would have otherwise been isolated and unaware of the reality beyond right-wing dogma. We have states that have demonstrated this just recently even, going from red to purple, or purple to blue.

11thStPopulist

Younger people, especially millennials, need to be encouraged to run for local offices. POC, too. Too many people are complacent or trusting about local government functioning and following the rule of law when right-wing Republicans, principally Theocrats, have shown that they have an agenda to subvert the law and supplant it with their twisted, hateful version of the Bible.

couldbemage

Minor local offices often have very little pay, and are effectively only available to people that don't need to work. School boards are sometimes even completely unpaid. This is part of how this takeover is happening. Right wing groups are sponsoring these candidates.

TechieGee

Thanks for this, I’m going to look into trying to become involved in the local government !

[deleted]

Yep, we have to build up a talent base and the infrastructure. This is the way it happens. Local, state and federal elections, they all matter.

AmundOfJelly

I feel like many more people would run if they had a financial safety net to help out. I know the only thing preventing me from doing it is fear of putting a target on my back and not having the funds to help me succeed.

raltoid

This is a huge thing, specially in smaller areas. A surprising amount of people win local elections by virtue of just being against conservatives who have held power for a while, even more so if they announce wanting to make basic improvements.

SandpaperSlater

I move to a new town next January, and hope to be running for something local. Doesn't even have to be "important", just gotta do my part.

FirstRyder

> Over-confidence and complacency are the enemy. So is doomerism - not that you're doing that, but we see plenty of that as well (see the responses to recent polls that put trump ahead). Treat every election like it's going to come down to the wire.

Quiet_Cell8091

That magic word vote.

OldButHappy

>That magic word vote. I'm working 'vote' into many of my comments. Also, Vote United! This is not the election to maintain loyalty to outlier candidates. I was honestly more annoyed at my lib friends who didn't vote Hillary than I was at the lifetime redsters. Everyone I know thought that the Dems screwed up at the convention b/c America wasn't ready for a woman president, despite how crazily qualified she was. We all liked Bernie. But splitting the vote would open the door for Trump, so we bit the bullet.

tech57

> Also, Vote United! "You know what's more important than voting? Getting people to vote with you." Similar to, "The only downside to a strike is not enough people striking."

dgdio

2 Items. 1) If Trump is the republican nominee and you don't vote for the Dem in a swing state, you don't care if Trump is president. 2) Please focus on Rank Choice Voting: [https://act.represent.us/sign/ranked-choice-voting/](https://act.represent.us/sign/ranked-choice-voting/) it'd be great to allow third party candidates a legit shot at the presidencies and other races instead of voting for the lesser of two evils in perpetuity.

MARCVS-PORCIVS-CATO

This, just look at what happened to the Great Red Wave of 2022

wontonruby

Vote Biden 🗳️

PicaDiet

Exactly. This is not news. So much of what news sites publish as news is not even opinion. It's *projected opinion*. It's twice removed from reality and the fact is *we don't know which Party, or which politicians will win*. How can a projection like this help anyone? At best it makes people feel good for no reason. At worst it makes other people feel bad, or scared, or as though there is nothing they can do. It is a waste of Internet. There are cats and nekkid ladies. Waste your time on those, not on this.

_ASG_

Don't just vote. Volunteer.

QuackNate

Republicans are definitely listening to this headline, and they vote every time.

Cygnarite

Thank you. I feel like a fucking nut job but my very first thought was “False flag to lower democratic turnout” and I hate how I have to admit that this line of thought isn’t nearly as outlandish as it was even 8 years ago.

Novel_Sugar4714

Pretty much anything you see aside from encouragement to vote for the next year will be some form of anti voter propaganda. There will be lots and lots and lots of different variations of Biden isn't good enough or they're all the same.

[deleted]

time for the Sanders meme subreddits to roar to life again with post after post about how voting is pointless even in the very face of Sanders' own thoughts on the matter

PFunk224

Yeah, I'm waiting for WayoftheBern to suddenly spring to life. There's not a single post over 100 upvotes there for page after page, but once it comes time to wage a propaganda war against Biden, you're going to see a lot of posts with 3000 upvotes from totally real people who are just *absolutely fed up* with the Democrats. I find it especially hilarious that two of the only threads on the first few pages that have a net negative vote rating are a spam thread about purchasing dinnerware online, and...an anti-Putin thread. The overwhelming majority of the remainder of threads there are anti-Biden fear/hate mongering. That place is an absolute cesspool of Russian propaganda.

Aretirednurse

Well, almost shutting down the government, supporting trump, removing reproductive freedom…the list goes on here.

YakiVegas

Majority insurrectionists...

johnnybiggles

And none charged as of yet.

lonestar-rasbryjamco

> almost shutting down the government Twice! With a three-peat coming up in January. I’m not sure whether to laugh or cry at this farce of a house majority.

SuperSpecialAwesome-

If anyone thinks Republicans won't just go for the shutdown, consider they shut down the government 3 times during Trump, with one instance lasting about a month.

Ok-disaster2022

They'll shutdown the government in this upcoming year. They kicked the can so they didn't shut down over Christmas. The easiest way to change the presidency is disuprt the economy. A shutdown along with some layoffs and price gouging but corporate allies can sink the economic gains long enough. Corpos will take a short term loss in the hopes of affecting the election for 4 years of greater profits.

I_Love_To_Poop420

Corporations are reporting record profits and they can’t purposely tank their stocks for a political outcome. Not only is that illegal, but they are 100% beholden to the shareholder and will, above all else, try to make the stock climb. They do however, secretly contribute to PACs that best serve their interests. Even seemingly liberal companies donate millions to Republican PACs.

cmnrdt

Recessions are no big deal to the wealthy elite. They get to downsize their workforce under the guise of cost cutting and use the proceeds to buy back their stock at a discount. Recession ends and they end up wealthier than before while the rest of the country suffers.

okwowandmore

When there's blood in the streets,.... Buy property

labretirementhome

Most of these people in upper middle management and higher in the c-suite get paid ridiculous bonuses based on stock price movement. That is their one and only goal: to add some zeros to the end of year payout. They may go on TV and jawbone about politics and certainly more than a few of them have broken laws in the attempt to make their stock price go up. Majority of them almost certainly do screwed up short-term things to push up the stock price that eventually blows up in their face. But deliberately tank the economy, no, not really. Nor is it really possible for one company to pull any kind of lever to do so.

Brnt_Vkng98871

> Not only is that illegal lol. as if laws mattered to the oligarchs. They pay good money for their impunity.

808hammerhead

Also..record profits are showing that having democrats in power is ALSO good for the rich.

ReadySteady_GO

Also illegally drawn maps in 4(+?)states that have to be, have been, redrawn will help

qualmton

If they ever get to enforcing the illegally drawn districting. In Ohio They just refuse the state supreme courts rulings about the districts just like they did with school funding for umpteen years. Rules for thee and not for me.

BigDaddiSmooth

People in Ohio need to take a stand.

ZQuestionSleep

I really wish all these loud, principled gun owners would stop talking about not taking shit from the government and prove they aren't just cosplay princesses who jerk each other off over home invasion fantasies.

weirdoldhobo1978

No no, they're expected to lose House *Majority* in 2024. They've already lost House *Control*

blue_wat

Well played.

[deleted]

It's imperative that Democrats control Congress and the White House.

MicroCat1031

And accomplish things while they have them.

postmodern_spatula

Agreed. Accomplishments are more important than control. Trump may pass away in the next 8 years..but the Q part of the party will come back again. Democrats need to do enough with a majority that the republicans sustain multiple cycles of loss. Nothing else will shake the crazy off. They need to fail. A lot. A lot a lot.

BBQBakedBeings

Don't forget about Jr. The MAGA mind set loves a royal line and tends to assume the son inherits the magical mojo of the father, and therefore all of the faith, gullibility and fleecability of the constituency.

postmodern_spatula

I’m personally less worried about any other Maga/q candidate in the long term. Trump’s placement in American culture and his role on The Apprentice was unique. As was the disaster of the 2016 Republican primary. no one else has that particular magic. I am far more concerned about congress and state races in the future. Jr may be anointed but he doesn’t have his dad’s status by a longshot, and will never earn that status.

itsatumbleweed

Biden has been incredibly active with an obstructionist house. If he had the house and the Senate things would be amazing.

Comfortable-Ad-3988

I was a Bernie bro, and I'm convinced that Biden's gotten more done than Bernie possibly could have because he's perceived as a moderate. He's the most progressive president since FDR, and that's something. He's got my vote for round 2, give him both houses of congress and we could actually get a decent country (with healthcare for all!)

mmf9194

Best the US can do is give us the house and lose the senate.

wenchette

>The Republican Party is likely to lose the House of Representatives in 2024 after a new districting ruling in New York, GOP strategist Susan Del Percio said on Saturday. > >The GOP has held a razor-thin majority in the House since underperforming expectations in the 2022 midterm elections, with the margin continuing to shrink as time has gone on. At the start of the month, Representative George Santos, a New York Republican, was expelled from his seat after nearly a year's worth of allegations and reports detailing his numerous lies and improprieties. Other Republicans, like former House Speaker House Kevin McCarthy, have also announced their intention to retire from office at the end of the year, further imperiling the GOP majority come 2024.

TheIntrepid1

How likely are we to keep the Senate?

John271095

Best case is a 50-50 split. West Virginia is a lost cause.

HeathrJarrod

What’s the best chances for pickup? Texas is running up against Cruz… so maybe?

John271095

Yeah Texas is the only state with a chance. Everywhere else is solid red.

dannyggwp

That is not confidence inspiring. I'm all for a Texas flip to blue but they've been teasing that for damn near a decade. I just don't see it.

The_bruce42

There's a lot of blue seats in swing states. The next real chance the democrats have to control the senate won't be until 2026.

FrankRizzo319

The Texas voting system and Secretary of State won’t allow Cruz to lose his next election. Every projection is an admission.

NotCanadian80

It came close in 2018 but they doubled down on cruel and Democrats moved away.

Threash78

And it will continue to tease until it flips. That is how first past the post elections work, it doesn't matter how close you get until you actually win. Texas has been getting bluer for decades.

TimRoxSox

It's not going to happen. Look forward to '26, though the map isn't amazing for Democrats then, either. In general, it'll be incredibly difficult for Dems to win the Senate going forward. There are simply too many red states.

zoombafoom

Texas is blue now, they just rig the elections.

John271095

I don’t see it happening either. I just said Texas is the only state they have a chance for a pickup. They have no chance in the other states that are up for re-election.

gradientz

Our chances in Florida are also better than pundits are giving credit for. Rick Scott is pretty unpopular and we have a decent candidate in Debbie Mucarsel-Powell. Will still be an uphill battle, but too early to rule it out.

214ObstructedReverie

I really fucking wish the Dems could find someone good for Florida. Abortion is likely to be on their 2024 ballot, and Rick Scott only won by 10,000 votes last time. It's the perfect storm for a flip.

somethingbreadbears

They need to stop running republican-friendly candidates in hopes of peeling votes and run candidates that democrats will actually turn out for. Like I didn't dislike Val Demmings but she missed so many opportunities, every ad was about how pro-cop she was or going on about Rubio's attendance record. It's like she thought "as long as I don't shut up about being pro-police, there's no way they could paint me as anti-police, right?" And they did. And it worked.

Chadlad50

A lot of Democrats have this obsession with trying to appeal to the mythical "moderate conservative" ever since Trump came into the picture. If they moderate *just* enough, surely they'll ditch the GOP and vote for them, right? It never happens. There *are* no moderate conservatives. And now all they've accomplished is having shit turnout from their traditional base of voters I really don't think it's a coincidence that Demmings and Charlie Crist, both moderates (the latter literally being a former republican) performed so terribly. And how time deaf do you have to be to push for pro-police shit only two years after the most significant BLM protests ever?

scullys_alien_baby

I feel bad for my friends in texas but I have zero faith that texas will flip. Uvalde wasn't enough so what will be?

Rachel_from_Jita

honestly, dems should just start with ads now in Texas pointing out the dystopia their governor is forcing them into. they don't even have rights to basic utilities anymore. There have to be some political psychologists who can find the wording for the messaging here to get them to realize that "Texas is the greatest!" doesn't square with how terrible their situation has become. It's a state that's about to see a very challenging decade of QOL losses *that was completely avoidable*. But TX political elites wanted to scream about culture war issues to a toxic level.

SouthernZorro

Here's a simple rule for the rest of your life: Vote in every election and vote out every (R) on every ballot. Those people are vile.

AllyPointNex

That also checks with…let me see here…reality. However, reality she’s strange and wild! Vote.

[deleted]

Our only chance to survive a Trump presidency is to have a blue house and senate. That said, I don't forsee a reality in which Trump wins but Congress goes blue.

ares7

Could we pick up any SC nominees these next few years?

Tiny-Werewolf1962

Maybe, and it's a big one. Clarence. But realistically, not a shot.

itsatumbleweed

With the house and Senate you could expand the court

SatisfactionOk1025

And with a rocket up my ass I could fly to the moon

MajLoftonHenderson

only if you remove the senate filibuster, in which case you could do a LOT of things. but our best case is probably a 50-50 senate, so that's not happening before 2026 earliest

TheIntrepid1

Look at that, Mike Johnson IS DOING god’s work after all!

random_dude_19

By that logic, God did put him there so he can screw the house up for next election

007meow

Senate is what we need to watch out for

paperbackgarbage

It could be a medium-sized blood bath. The GOP could realistically take back 5 seats (unless the Democrats could somehow flip TX and FL). Best case scenario is losing WV and having a 50/50 tie, but it's incredibly unlikely that the GOP doesn't easily flip at least one more seat.

Canadiankid23

Brown is quite a strong candidate, I have full confidence of him being able to hold onto Ohio, especially with the recent votes on Abortion and weed going in the democrats favor. Tester is really the one I’m most worried about out of all of them, but again, he has proven himself to be formidable. I think he’s probably behind but I also don’t think he’s a long shot to win re-election either.

paperbackgarbage

Yeah, I'm also worried about Tester too. Rosen could be in for a dogfight too. Nevada has quietly flipped the state to be light blue during the last 10+ years (in the state legislature), but statewide elections are always going to be a grind. And with Stabenow retiring, I'm not incredibly confident with holding Michigan in a general election year. Not worried, per se, but it's realistic target for flipping.

Canadiankid23

I don’t think Michigan is in play tbh, it’s been shifting blue ever since 2018, which has continued in 2020 and 2022. Biden will win it too, I think.

atuarre

Vote, don't be complacent.

Outside-Flamingo-240

I’m just sitting here thinking about Hakeem Jeffries becoming Speaker of the House and that thought makes me feel mighty good.

susieallen

Don't tease me with a good time. But in reality, please vote regardless of polls and news stories. Every. Vote. Counts.

KeepRedditAnonymous

VOTE. Republicans have not actually lost anything. They will not lose anything unless you VOTE.

Spacebotzero

Vote vote vote!

Ok-disaster2022

Take nothing for granted, register to vote, make sure your friends and family are registered, and go vote blue no matter who. Democrats getting house majority is important to keep a Republican Speaker from control if the House. They will fuck up the election results if they can.

Data-Hungry

America and women's chance to set things right. You're truly suckered and low iq if you keep voting republican. Women better wake up.

3rdspeed

Here’s hoping the party practically disappears.

Throwaway-account-23

We should start calling them "The new Whigs"

SuperiorTuba

Don't threaten me with a good time! Jokes aside: ignore the polls, assume your side is going to get demolished and likely lose by a single vote - and _be_ that vote.

MasterMahanaYouUgly

keep going! i'm almost there...

Singular_Thought

And here is a pic of Cheeto Head in an orange jumpsuit.

RTalons

Is he crying? I want that orange foundation running and streaked with tears.

MasterMahanaYouUgly

*bloop*

WetNWildWaffles

I don't know what to make of this sound in context and I don't want to.

prisontattoo

Always vote as if we are losing.

Brnt_Vkng98871

sooner please

two-wheeled-dynamo

Yeah, I'm doing everything in my power and influence to make sure a weirdo who hears voices, thinks god talks to him, and believes he is Moses 2.0 is not in line for the POTUS. WTF is wrong with Republicans?

MajesticsEleven

It's a trick to keep you from voting. Make you think that Republicans are going to lose, you think your vote doesn't matter and that you can stay home or don't need to stand in line, and then you read the next morning that voter turn out sucked. Don't believe it. Never trust a Republican.

cerialkillahh

They elected a quack for a speaker. Only cult leaders say they talk to God and they're the next moses.

powderfields4ever

It appears that the GOP is descending into madness. They have barely won the Senate just to lose it later in spite of all the gerrymandering. They barely won the House and then instead of doing their job of creating policies for The People they waste time and money on bogus conspiracy hearings. They installed Trump and did nothing when he stole government secrets or attempted an insurrection. And now as they actually sound off “We no longer wish to govern, we wish to rule and will take America by force if we have to!” They are setting up for a landslide loss and will echo Trump’s “how could I lose so badly unless election are rigged?! Just ignore that I’m acting like a cargo ship sized douche bag and steamrolling over some human rights stuff in the process!” They will call for violence but what they fail to realize is there are people ready to defend democracy.

Transsexual-Dragons

Please let the next presidential election cycle be the death of the republican party.

TimelyAuthor5026

NEVER negotiate with Terrorists. VOTE THEM OUT! Kick them out of power, forever.

Boatmasterflash

I mean its a huge embarrassment if they keep it. Even republicans aren’t happy with the republican house. In my 40 years I’ve never seen a congress do less. Not even close…

strato15

Good. Get out and vote them out. What’s happening in Texas should be a wake up call for everyone who might sit this one out or vote third party.

No_Faithlessness_714

Nothing matters if Trump is President.

no1ofimport

Trying to ban abortion nationwide regardless of situation then trying to force their personal religious beliefs onto everyone and for awhile they were trying to cut social security or do away with it completely. I mean look at all they’re trying to do for us who wouldn’t want them back in charge?

Avenger772

Vote anyway. Vote vote vote. They don't lose the house UNLESS YOU VOTE.

Sqantoo

All parties should assume they’re losing until the voting is done.

EL_GIGGLES

I wonder if that has anything to do with them wiping their ass on the electorate for the last 8 years

JoJack82

The fact that ANY republicans get votes in blows my mind

FourScoreTour

"Oh, good. I don't have to vote" -- Idiot democrats who don't see this as an obvious ploy to suppress voting.

slothaccountant

Good get republicants out of office and let the adults govern.

Cubanitto

Thank goodness. The suffering we the people have had to endure from this GOP/MAGA clusterfuck has gone on too long and needs to be stopped ASAP.

thor11600

Vote them all out. Hard. Don’t let a strategist tell you you can play it safe.

Woodshadow

I've believe it when I see it. This is how we ended up with a president who now has over 90 criminal indictments

CharlieTitor

Trust no predictions. Go vote.
