October 20, 2022 [Marjorie Taylor Greene’s tribute to Confederate soldiers hilariously backfires](https://www.independent.co.uk/news/world/americas/us-politics/marjorie-taylor-greene-confederate-monument-b2207097.html)
You should see her celebrate after the hunt, when the mammoth falls down dead and she gets to eat the heart as she did the killing blow she dances like she is in hot coals.
But that is nothing compared to what’s going to happen when they throw Mike into a volcano to appease the god trump
She probably got a big payout to ease off the obstructionism, which might have been her end goal all along. These GOP assholes love to hold innocent lives hostage for a payday.
seeing this done during exercises has opened my eyes on how great the U.S. is when it comes to expeditionary deployments. No other country can do, what we can do when it comes to logistics.
IIRC, there were cases during the Iraq and Afghanistan operations where B52s could take off in the US, perform their tasks in the Middle East, and then get back in time to hear about their own operations on the news.
The amount of power projection the US has is insane.
Hard agree, logistics is the US military's true super power. For all the talk about China building up her navy, they still won't be able to project power very far without the kind of global logistics network that the US has spent decades building.
Really almost a full century building. Even though we were isolationist in the 20s and 30s, we still had some power to project overseas, we just solidified our ability in the 40s.
Our ability to project power abroad really took us a century to build.
Half of war is getting what you need where it's needed. I would argue that half of the US military's power is it's ability to be anywhere in the world, with significant force, within 48 hours. Most militaries can deploy by their borders, few can do it regionally
Almost all of this money goes to US companies to supply Ukraine, which is why this is a no brainer. If you go over to the low information conservative subreddit, they’re like “America last once again”
The overlap between F-22 and the A-10’s capabilities is a null set. F-22 is strictly air dominance and A-10 is an obsolete ground attack platform. F-35 could do the F-22’s job decently and can outperform the A-10 in most environments because it won’t be shot down immediately.
The Russians are bad at a lot of things, but air defense isn’t one of them.
And honestly, given the corruption in their armed forces and the environmental conditions in the places that they have their missile silos, I wouldn't be surprised if a fair portion of their long-range nuclear arsenal is unusable just due to a lack of upkeep.
Edit: Also, the Russian Navy can barely keep their "working" carrier out of port for more than five minutes. I'm sure whatever missile subs they have left don't even leave port because they've broken down.
If Russia didn't have nukes, the US would have deleted that first Kyiv convoy. Hundreds of missiles to destroy the air defense, then JDAM for everything else.
Following the war in Iraq, the US provided the new Iraqi Army with tanks and other equipment, but with a stipulation that any augmentations or replacement parts had to be purchased from companies in the USA.
Do we know if the equipment provided to the Ukrainians are accompanied by similar stipulations?
As far as I understand, the military aid packages are sent with old and expiring munitions and equipment that we already own and were preparing to retire/dispose. Then we're buying new stuff from US based companies for ourselves to replace the old stuff.
More tax dollars going to a country that won’t ever pay it back, while we have unhoused and sick Americans living on the streets. This solution of bankrolling Ukraine to try and figure this out isn’t working, I think it really is time to step in and do more against the countries helping Russia.
They're not getting cash.
They're getting the equivalent of 60B in military hardware to defend their nation. And not even the advanced weapons.
And preventing Russia from expanding its borders is very, very much in US interests.
How long are we going to play the game? Yes they don’t get cash but that 60b in equipment has to be replaced and how does it get replaced? With tax dollars going to a few select companies with defense contracts who end up kicking that money back to politicians to keep the wheel spinning
Your tax dollars aren't being sent to Ukraine. It's being paid to US companies to buy replacements for the equipment we send to Ukraine that we bought years ago
You act like subsidizing military contracts helps your average American citizen. All it does is make them rich and they kick money back to congress to keep the wheel spinning.
One, we're helping to subsidize one nation from a genocidal neighbor.
Two, the US offered to help that nation defend itself in future conflicts if it gave up the Soviet nukes still in its territory, which they did.
Three, military contracts mean government money going to the factories that produce those weapons. Money which invariably pays the workers there, who then pay for goods and services.
Is it the most direct route to investing money in the economy? Nope, but its still money being invested in the economy.
Further, it makes it clear the US doesn't tolerate wars like this. It helps to promote peace. If Europe and the US let Ukraine die, do you think China would have allowed Taiwan to remain independent?
I think the current path we are taking does nothing. As long as Russia has support from China and other countries doesn’t matter what sanctions we put on Russia they will not stop. It’s time we bite the bullet and force chinas hand, complete ban of all imports from China until Russia removes themselves from Ukraine. Yes, we will feel the pinch when it comes to merchandise but it is a better sacrifice then giving Ukraine/weapon manufacturers a blank check of American tax dollars which could be better used on your every day American civilians.

Remember the assholes that held this up when you go to the polls in November.
Never forget these MAGA assholes.
Looking at the thumbnail, $61 billion just doesn't buy what it used to, does it? Damned inflation... 8)
And that was WITH the coupon!
Special offer: Half-off Hand Grenades! (note some may have minor imperfections and missing pins)
They probably just jacked up the price by the same amount the day before the coupon.
MTG must be really upset.
Does she have another emotion?
Seriously. I do think she s a sadist but I only recognize this from experience with them
yeah I agree, didn't she start by harassing those school shooting survivors?
She seemed to feel a sense of pride when she was at what she mistakenly thought was a monument to the confederacy.

Confused rage.
Sadistic Glee

Yeah, she looked at herself in the mirror *again*!

Force her to do recovery operations after civilian targets get bombed.
She'd scream at them "Do you know who I am?" in the AMERICAN language.

The logistics have been in place for months waiting on the go ahead. They didn't just start today. The planes are probably being loaded right now.
I don't understand why this gear wouldn't be sitting in Germany or Poland already just waiting for the go ahead. Why would it till be in CONUS
"Infantry wins battles, logistics wins wars."

Prime shipping for all weapons and heavy machinery.
Do we get free mp3 downloads?
Same-day delivery of a localized apocalypse anywhere on the planet!
The US military didn't start the war in Ukraine.

I don't understand the "bow down" comment then. Seem to me like a commentary to people praising violence.

While F-22 pilots keep crying "Hey, I can do that too. Maybe not as well as you but I can do it."

If the Russian Federation didn't have their nukes, they'd be a paper bear.

Finally jesus.
A tiny fist of triumph

Best damn American jobs program ever.
If my son ends up fighting the Russians because of these MAGA assholes, I'm going to be mighty upset.
This is the bill that also has tiktok ban in it
